Hi Aaron, You helped me with setting up my new Dubai company and I landed here on the 16th May - so I'm at the starting blocks! I am a UK tax advisor and do come across people who want to set up in Dubai (would be great to meet before you head home). I am here with some lovely tax tools to remove the horrid 20% tax that the UK charges on rent in the UK (even if you live in Dubai!!)... I've been running my own businesses since I was 8 (selling sweets bought with my bus fare as I ran to school!).... Successful entrepreneurs making money also need some expert advice on how to protect this wealth when they re-invest it into things like property.... and that is why I have (after 35 years!) moved here! We've had a few emails now... and thanks for all your kind assistance, it is appreciated and respected. I don't know anyone here - so meeting others and mixing with them is a great plan. Keep up the good work!

Hi ive got a question Is there anyway to avoid capital gains tax on a small holding, Since in any property over 0.5 acre even as your main residence still has to pay cgt

@@PRO-sr7ys I have not got a clue about that. I only heard about CGT relating to business sales you only don't have to pay if you've been non-tax resident in the UK for 5+ years. But even that might be wrong as its not a situation I've been in and not looked into it.

Hi Aaron, Great videos, I am literally about to set up a new compnay in Dubai and move out there. Thanks to you im planning on doing all myself, but with another FZ. It would be SO good to have a trusted website and pool of people new to Dubai to access. Especially if you can share trusted reliable honest contacts, this would help people like me new to Dubai and trying to set up. Any help you can give would be great. Hey Aaron ! I gotta say I'm genuinely so great ful for your videos because you've just opened my eyes about something I was never aware of. I got a question because I'm in a quite weird position right now. I'm a solo indie game developer that's been in the industry for quite a while and I've been going at it as a freelancer for the longest time now. Meaning I don't exactly have a registered company but rather a registered freelancer. I'm very interested in doing this freezone set up in the future but considering that I'm completely solo is it even possible to do that in my case ? This coming summer I'm hoping for new releases to my projects and if things go right I'm gonna definitely check out your previous videos again. Hi mate, thank you so much for the comments! I'm not sure where in the world you are from, but typically you'll find operating a business through a registered company is more tax efficient anyway (in countries like the UK), there are various legal protections it offers you also and credibility especially when dealing with corporate clients. It is for sure fine to do that if you're solo, but you may want to consider if the additional cost of setting up a free zone in the UAE is worth it the way the tax regime is set up. It will depend on what you want to achieve longer term I think. I'll get back to you myself with some suggestions.

Almost exactly same story and mindset here, just replace UK by Canada and police by military. The west replaced meritocracy by victimhood industry. Anyone able and willing to create prosperity should stop fighting the system and consider moving to a country friendly to these traits. Trying to unsink the Titanic with a spoon is futile endeavour.

That's right, here's the thing, we're not going to change the system by complaining back home. Its actually getting worse back in the UK in my opinion. By the sounds of it, its just a common thing in the west it seems to be getting worse, not better. That said, I am not 100% on Dubai and as things stand, I don't think I'd want to live here for the long term. But I do like having the freedom to move around and stay places I want to stay etc. Things may not work out but rather try new things, than regret it later in life not even trying.

Also a nepotistic hellhole and if you happen to cross wrong person's path (esp authorities) they can turn your life upside down. Always a step away from prison, fines are crazy too.

Bro success with your project But here is my point I think you rushed too soon came to Dubi without any plan Habibi come to Dubai make everyone crazy !! Which is this never true if no plan you will lose all your saved money back to uk So far I understand you don’t have that much money to keep searching the business what business you should do it You said you was police officer I have few police officer in my family the problem with them are they are too much straightforward and they think whatever they start that will happen overnight They think for business as police job ! Which completely wrong Hope for the best and do the business not in police style way life Think about business for very long process sorry for my bad English hope you got my point Thanks bro

Thanks for your comments! I did come out here quickly nearly a year ago, however, the company has changed what it does rather than closing it down. BUt honestly even if I did close it, I will not be losing sleep over the lost money. I have regular income from other companies and investments that I have. Is there anything you'd like to see me talk about on the channel?
