I don't pick up paper at residential properties either. Some home owners are lazy and will allow trash to stay in their yards. That's disrespectful to the service provider to assume we will pick up your trash.

As a homeowner and non-professional it is my personal experience that straight shaft edgers are generally easier to control and therefore, provide cleaner results. It is interesting to note that many if not most professionals with KZbin channels prefer straight shaft edgers. There are reasons for that choice.

We have been using some Ryobi battery stuff these past few weeks and we really liking them so far! We are especially impressed with the battery edger . It last all day with one 4 amp battery for just edging 💪 I definitely see all the benefits to using battery equipment for sure 😃☝️

If you like the Ryobi then you'll love the TORO or Husqvarna it's like using a residential mower conpared to a commercial mower

I don’t pick up paper either unless I just can’t get it to move when I pull up next it it with the mower blowing lol I’m not the trash man, I’m there to cut grass! 🤷🏽‍♂️ most home owners see it and don’t pick it up so they must not care 🤷🏽‍♂️. If the customer has paper in the yard everytime I go to the property, I cut it up sometimes to get their attention!

It's in the contract to pick up trash, at least the majority of the trash. If it will confetti it definitely is picked up. In most instances the trash can is a few steps away, it's amazing how the ones who litter won't make even that small effort....

I think the curved shaft edgers make crispier lines because of the rpm. Im not sure about other companies that don't advertise blade rpm, but stih's curved shaft edgers don't have a gearbox so they run at about 8100rpm while their straight shaft edgers have a gearbox and run at 4800 rpm. I think that blade speed really make a difference and they have different uses.

_Curved shafts are shorter they're the home owner line unless you have a commercial pas/kombi head._

Curved shaft on Bent, St Augustine and some Fescue bounces out like crazy. I’ve only edged in NJ and Florida so that’s all I know. A solid driveshaft will always be stronger. Straight shaft attachment on the stihl 131r is unbeatable. Explain why I’m wrong and use logic and not personal preference….
