I have to tell you thank you. I bought the 1DXMk II a month ago and returned the R6 because of a flaw in low light. It didn’t have WiFi and I saw your video. I now have the Case Air Wireless Tethering and it does like you said. It makes all the difference in the world. Thank you Ryan for sharing that video. I am bit confused here, didn't you switch from 1DX Mark II to 5D Mark IV with C-log? You even mentioned that you didn't like 1DX Mark II because it does not offer wifi and c-log like 5D Mark IV? If you switched back to 1DX Mark II from 5D Mark IV I would suggest you be transparant with your audience.

Very transparant brother, I wanted the 5DIV because it was SMALLER but when i converted back to it, the size of the camera & 60FPS, all my slow motion, handheld, was very shakey. I typically vlog handheld and do not use stabilizers. If you watch my last vlog, i mention how switching back and forth on cameras was to answer others questions.

Creative Ryan all good bro. And I agree with 5D Mark IV at 60fps it does come bit shakey. I just love the log function that's why I am not thinking of switching to 1DX Mark II. i own both, and I do prefer the fact that I can use either my 24-70 f/4IS in 4K to film myself with plenty of room still on the 1DXII with the 1.3X. The 5DIV with 24-70 f/4 is a little tight when filming myself with the 1.7X. I can use the 16-35 2.8 to film myself, with the 5DIV, and that gives me a little extra room on the sides to stabilize the footage too. Just to be honest though, I hardly use either of my cameras now for video as i'm not involved much with it anymore. I used my 5DIV for video when i first got it in 2016 when it launched. I just got my 1DXII in January this year, so by that time I was already uninvolved with video so I havent gotten to make use of it much. I haven't gotten the c-log upgrade for my 5DIV, so i havent gotten to compare it against the 1DXII

Whats up Ryan. I noticed you are one of the few people I know that owned the 1dx Mark 2 and the 5d Mark 4, you are also open to opinion. I'm truly wondering which camera you think takes better photos and why? I love your photography skills on your IG. I been reading reviews that the 1dx has lower MP, Bigger pixels allowing better low light quality. However the 5d Mark 4 has higher MP and smaller pixels which give better resolution. Im considering either camera more for photography than for videos. I do like the extra features on the 1dx mark2. But, I'm more interested in the photography aspect. Whats your take on which is better for stills?

The size of 4K video files and the cost of CFAST cards can kill your enjoyment of the camera. The weight also, it is heavy. You know you have it with you at all times. The big advantage compared to my C100 that I also have is I can take it out in the rain or now and not be as scared that I'm going to damage it

wira 88. I've seen you commenting this same thing on other videos. Idk if you genuinely like your 1dxii because of the "intimidation" factor by it being large and loud, or your being facetious lol. i do like the size, I have compared handholding with a 50mm to my 5DIV and 1DXII back to back, sometimes i do feel like i can get less shake with the 1DXII especially if i use "silent" mode. That said, none of these are the real reasons why I like my 5DIV/ 1DXII system. The last 3 months of summer, most of my pictures were taken with my 600f/4II. It's practically my 50mm walk around prime. I've been outside so much that I actually have the room to use the 600 for portraiture and events. Also, my next lens i'm adding is going to being either the 8-15 fisheye or the Mp-E 65 1-5X macro, or 180 3.5 macro, or possibly even the 135 f/4 TS-E. None of these lenses have options in Sony. However, When Nikon came out with the D850, I was hella jelly.

U didnt mention about colors, skin tones. 1dx2, 5d4, a6500 user here. Definitely 1dx2 has richer colors and it is so easy to color grade, very minimal correction needed as skin tones with canon is just right out of cam. Well with sony, you gotta take color grading/ correction course first lol

i agree this is all around camera and the best camera you can ever get, from photo (still to sport) you can cover it all, very fast and acurate, for video as well, great autofocus, 120 fps, 4k 60 fps and its the build quality is amazing, my 5d mark2 hit the ground , and left a mark on my 5dmark2, and some button function switch but still works well (LOL) , then it happened again to my 1dx mark2, i 2 months after i bought it, it fell off to the ground from 2-3 feet high, but its still works well, even not a scratch on my 1dx mar2. it is really worth your money imo, never regret that i bought this camera even for the price of $6000. 1dx mark 2 is the best imho, why?? not only its canon color tone skin tone, DPAF, battery grip integrated ,, 14 fps, but because its so robust and durable, weather and water resistant. 4K 60p, 1080p 120 fps, dinamic range, low light capability. ITS A BEAST. even sony A9 is no match to it imho.

Few questions before I get this camera: 1. What about the 4K videos size (compare with Sony or Panasonic)? 2. Fix screen or this is articulated or flip? 3. With my Sony mirrorless I use the screen to see if the object are in focus and only for sport or ultra low light I use the EVF... The 1DX II is able to use the screen for photography or just the visor? The visor is EVF or not... 4. At night, with the flash on top, the visor look exactly what you see, or they are able to see the final result with the flash light? Example: Sony EVF is exactly than the capture! Is the same with the 1DX II or the capture is totally different of the image at the visor? That is important for me..., because I can get a Canon 1DX II (for sport and outdoor / raining days) and keep my Sony A7III (for social events, macro, street, wedding, architecture, ultra low light photography and video and everything else, for at least USD.4,000.00 less than Canon 1DX II )... Best thing, I can use the best Sigma and Canon new lenses with this 2 systems without "any penalty"! Sorry for my english...

This camera is for pro photographers requiring a solid unit that will function shooting wildlife or sports in almost any climate and environment without fail. I can guarantee you that if Peter M hadn't started using this for vlogging, no one would have even considered using it. In fact everyone would have said that would be the most stupid choice ever. Don't save all your money and buy this camera for vlogging because you won't even use 10% of what this camera is used for. These videos are just out for views, to get people to buy shit and use promo codes and all the other shite that mans is spewing. Marko Micic I said canon. He probably prefers to shoot canon, like a lot of other people for good reason. They have the best video AF still and for 8 bit, the color grading is easier. Outside of canon, the new fuji xt3 ($1500) has awesome 4k, decent af and good colors, just bad battery life.

The Ursa Mini 4.6k and Pro is SOO much better... The weight is perfect for smooth handheld. The 1dx only has 13 stops of dynamic range in photo, ursa mini 4.6k has 15 in VIDEO The 120FPS on the Ursa Mini is WAY better, trust me

Camera seems Fire!!! A bit pricey but the colors are better than Sony... The Autofocus is A Million times better than the GH5. The size could be an issue for 1 handed gimbals (Maybe it'll work on the Ronin-S). I wish Canon would release a A73 Competitor. They need to make a splash in the mirrorless space.

Man dawg, you're selling me on this camera. I've always had it in my sights, but the price. SIGH I just can't spend 3 times the amount of a 7iii. And the 7iii's got the fire AF, crispy 120, it's relatively heavy, and Sony has pretty much fixed color science as well. idk it's a toss up. For me, I'm not leaking $$$$, so spending 2k on a Camera and having an extra 3.5-4k for other items like lighting upgrades, lenses, filters, tripods, and even a Phantom4Pro. I just cant pass up ALL of the extra stuff I can get along with spending only 2k for a fire ass 7iii. What does everyone else think, who actually have a lower budget like me?

You are exactly right and thats why Sony is killing Canon in camera sales for the last few years. The a7iii has all of the features of the 1dxii PLUS log profiles and the ability to mount vintage lenses. Yes the 1dxii has maybe 10% better colors and the photography features are better but it's not worth triple the cost and thats why Canon is sinking fast.

Have you used the Sony’s 120? Cuz I have canon, not this but been thinking about switching to Sony cuz it’s cheaper to get 120 but I know the colors aren’t the same. I don’t have $5k atm but if the qualities just that much better than Sony when I do jump the gun this has always been what I wanted.

I personally don't mind the colors on the a7III. The slow motion isn't as good as the 1dx mark ii, but it is great and it is also $3000 cheaper. I jumped from Canon and I don't regret it.

Biggest factor for me is that the 5div has less weight but only 60fps and the 1dx has more weight but has 120fps. They're both sharp, has great DR, canon colors, built like a tank, same AF system etc. Only thing is, that frame rate 🤔

That statement is only valid for a hobbyist but once you take it to the business level it means everything. Better gear means better quality, features, and higher prices granted the shooter knows what hes doing of course.

Exactly, don't get me wrong there's insist of award-winning films that were filmed on iPhones and such but they're diamond in dozens. In the real world, especially when money is involved people want quality and a shitty point and shoot or your phone will only get you so far.
