To really think about the situation is have a balance in life. I listened to your last message. You had a drive to want to do better in the game. You put added pressure on yourself in the game. You shouldn't had to at all. So your past daily life was all about the game and nothing else. This not just the game like I said earlier it's about having the right balance in life. You have put time into other things that is important. So you won't make the same mistake going forward. How to do that is planning and communication and following through. Best regards to you going forward. I enjoyed watching your shows.

I finally put the nail in the coffin. I restarted playing around the beginning of Covid-19 but I quit for good a few days ago. It was just taking its toll on me. I don't like the direction the game is going, I don't think I can play w/o spending $$$, I don't dig resource management, and finally, I just wasn't having fun. It was the same thing day in and day out. Really got burned out on the rapid pace of new character releases. I got tired of my life revolving around the game. I have a lot invested in the game and always used that as an excuse to keep playing as not to have the money I spent to be wasted. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the extra time I now have. Another thing that bothers me is that there is no end to this game. When I game, I need completion, and ending...something to strive for. But the game is perpetual and you can never catch up.
@btl50084 жыл бұрын
I commented on your last video that i was considering quitting the game. I have since retired and i can say it was absolutely freeing. I was very burned out on it. I was very hesitant to go just due to having spent so much time playing and not wanting to let my alliance down. But i honestly feel great now. The toughest thing was walking away from my alliance since there were some excellent people there. But i still feel like i made the right call. I have the same outlook as you with regard to simply playing casually. I simply cant play without going all out and i know i needed to just stop entirely. The game got to point of feeling like a chore and the stress of managing alliance war to try and do my best for the alliance was getting to be way too much Hope you keep making content man and good luck with the relationship.

Yeah. Even after only a short time away, I definitely do not miss it

I had stopped for 2 months then came back to it. I have mixed feelings about it. It does require so much time and effort to keep competitive. It's not always possible at work to log in and collect my energy before it expires and I'd get all fidgety thinking about it. Since Covid-19 I've been playing non stop. There was recently a milestone event with 40-some tiers that coincided with the Red Skull blitz. I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt is that I would not have been able to complete this had I not been off work this extended time. At the end it was shocking how much time you have to invest. Playing casually wouldn't get you there to the end. I'm ashamed of the money I have spent. It has gotten me in trouble. It's no fun opening up your credit card bill and just feel like shit seeing what you've done. It gets real really fast.

Good to see a youtuber like Combs sharing brutally honest opinions about MSF.And the fact that he didn't spend that much in the game makes it even better. Watching this video while playing MSF is a bit awkward lol, but I play it casually and dont feel any pressure...yet. The acquisition by Scopely however is alarming and if things get worse I will quit the game for good. The grinding is getting too extensive and "casual playing" might not be able to catch up.

MSF is the first mobile game I've ever actually spent money in and I've been playing OP Treasure Cruise for 5 years and Dokkan Battle for 2. I started playing MSF Sep/Oct 2019, they had just released Ghost Rider and I wanted him so I got him. While I don't regret getting him, I definitely can say if I didn't spend money, I wouldn't be no where near the power lvl that I'm at now. I also spent 💰 on other supernatural characters and the Sinister 6 and if I didn't do it for those characters I would've did it elsewhere because the game makes you feel like you have to keep up VS just F2P. I never felt that way with OP or DBZ, matter of fact those games be giving away free stuff like crazy, especially OP. The sad thing is the animations and designs look very good. But the shard pulls for characters are a joke, the red star system is a joke, and with the greed of FoxNext, you get back so little. I promise you, if I could go back in time I wouldn't have started playing. Only reason I did was because my cousin and uncle had already been playing and convinced me to join. But I know we'll never be as powerful as the top alliances nor get rewarded like them so is it even worth continuing? Like a dude on reddit said it's like a gamblers addiction, once you start it's hard to stop. Anyways that's my experience with MSF. Great vid and personal perspective.

I haven't hit the amount of time you were spending on this game. The game mode I need to quit is blitz, but otherwise raid/arena/war isn't too bad. Been running a casual alliance for a year now, we're content with our progress and those run me a hour or two a day. Still too much, but if it wasn't this game I'd be playing something else during that time. If I quit gaming it would be back to working out again. That would take more time out of my day. I'll have to say I enjoy taking a break at work to run a node or two in raid or blitz. So I probably won't quit just for that. That and I like collecting and building up the characters. I don't have that deep desire to be in a top alliance or be the best. It would have been nice if you could have found some balance. Good luck, I wish you well. Technology can be hard to balance, even beyond gaming. There are also the social media addictions, amoung other things.

I think Combs will be like the Dunkey of MSF. Dunkey was a big League of Legends content creator, he was a little different from everyone else like how Combs is from the other MSF guys, and people thought Dunkey shouldn't have quit playing the game despite of not enjoying it and assumed he would just fade into obscurity but he's bigger than ever now as just a general content creator doing whatever he wants. I love Combs' channel and he was very helpful for this game but his personality is fun in general and he just comes off really honest. I think his channel will be as big and successful as he wants it to be.

I watched a lot of your stuff man I appreciate all your effort. what im getting from your video is more a you being too addictive /competitive problem and not a game problem. You've been ftp for years so anything they've done recently wouldn't affect you anyway. what they've done with BB and some things recenbtly affects everyone. I can see you being burned out and missing personal relationships because of not balancing game and life. This game doesn't take 8 hours a day to be super competitive. I think you just need to get away from gaming and work on some relationships and get out the house and try and find a balance between gaming and life. I used to be super addicted to World of Warcraft and Everquest before that. Years and years I played those 2. it was work wife game everyday all day. Than I quit and I felt good the first couple weeks got to have some fun with people and all of that. But than what happened was going out and doing things after work when im tired or its Tuesday and nothing to do I started playing games again. But this time I have it balanced. Nothing game related stops me from doing anything I think will be fun and good to do. Now I see what I was missing all those years but too much of that can also not be all that fun either at times. so I think you need a break. Rekindle some relationships do some fun things with friends and family. Than try something else but keep in mind that its about balance and fun and not being the best player in that game possible.

I think you’re 100% right my friend. That’s what I figure the best and right thing for me is. So in time maybe I’ll play some games again, but right now I’m not about it at all.

i totally respect your choice and understand it, i did the same thing with Injustice 2 mobile, i went nuts, broke my phone and realized that this game was not for me, msf is the same shit, i barely play anymore, and a lot more will quit too because this game is there for PROFITS, they don't care about anybody, they only want your money, sadly those who spent 20k will go crazy when they will eventually close their servers, i'm surprised you didn't talk about the last stupid shit they did like yesterday haha but they screw up again with an offer that was not supposed to be and then they took it down and everyone was pissed because they paid for it and now they will give everyone a part of the offer which is 10 rs gold credit so now the whale are going nuts LOL and they took down the offer and i am pretty sure it's because of me lollllllllllll because when i saw the offer i took a screenshot of it and went on the msf discord to show it and right after that, like 2 seconds after the offer was down LOL......sorry whales!

I wish you wouldn’t quit, but I understand completely. If you are sure, would you consider trying Hero Wars? I joined on Black Saturday, two months ago, and I love it. I love the characters BUT the thing I love most is they DONT seem to be as greedy as FoxNext. For example, they occasionally have real sales on items you want to buy. In MSF, they never offered deals on cores! It’s always around 8,600 for $99 and never more. In Hero Wars, it’s normally14,000 emeralds for $99 (already a better deal) but occasionally (already several times in two months), they offer 4x deals! So you get 56,000 for $99 (and really 61,000) because there are always various rewards constantly for buying gems, using gems, using energy, etc. (PS I had to stop mega-blitzing long ago in MSF, so I have just done the 750k for a long time now) (PPS. In Hero Wars guild wars, you only do TWO battles each war in every league except the very top league, where you do two to four) so it’s way less time, less stress.

I don’t know what that is, but I’ll look Into it!
