Oh ghods; Raid is even worse than MSF! At least with MSF you have the connection to the Marvel universe. There is no connection to anything with Raid, and its generic fantasy story is hokey as hell; a total waste of time. I laugh that they call this an "RPG" -- it isn't one; nobody roleplays in it and there is no player character and skill development. Gameplay is as boring as it can be, more boring than MSF because all the content is basically the same, only with different background mattes -- but you can't just auto it either, unless you use an external autoclicker to run macros while you're asleep. As an F2P player it's virtually impossible to reach the endgame because getting good characters is solely depending on RNG; you can't slowly work your way up to your favourite characters through farming. And a personal dislike: treating characters you spend hours training up as food for better ones is kinda gross. Really, even casually those games aren't great, but MSF is preferable if one's attracted to this sort of game. And be very, very careful of spending. Once you start, that can snowball; these games are designed to exploit every weakness humans have around gambling, achievements, collecting.

I started playing Strike Force last week. I've been playing Jurassic World Alive primarily since it launched and I fancied something different. I'm a very casual player so just enjoying battles and slowly going along. After nearly two weeks though it has become rather frustrating though as unless I am prepared to spend money (I won't) progression and unlocking characters grinds down to an absolute crawl. I really wish that these companies would make their games so that F2P and P2W players can progress at the same rates but with options to allow them to make money.

I just started playing a few days ago and it has taken all my time over a few days I can see it taking up too much time. I may quit before I get too big into it. I haven't spent much money and I don't plan to. What is helping me want to quit is how honestly complicated it seems. I have to spend time watching KZbin videos on how to play it the best because like you I don't want to just be doing whatever I want to do it the best.

@@combs93 its honestly not bad, as long as I dont get sucked into talking to people I have everything done for the day in a hour maybe 2 could be less if youu dont manual some of the content. But what's nice is theres nothing like blitz that's requires youu to constantly log on, youu can log in whenever youu want and complete the daily content at your own pace without fear of missing out on anything. I quit shortly after you did in part due to really thinking after watching your vid. Such a good decision. I feel so much happier since. The time sink was huge and while i knew it was bad while playing no since im away from it i fully understand just how much it took to try to be competitive. It was a fun game but like you said it got bad. Like you i cant play casually. I wanted to do as well as possible. And i cant scale back. It was fun until it got to feel like a chore or an obligation.

My personal opinion Marvel Strike Force isn't bad but needs a bit more work to the game. So for the record the game is going to have some changes to it. With that said a person has to decide if playing casual (2-4)times a week work for them. Now common sense would say to play this game a person has to spend some money not a lot but something. With that a person can put a limit on how much to spend and how long to play the game. If person join an Alliance tell the leader your time you can actually put in. This is not hard at all. Put time slot together and stick with it. Simple. It's about priorities and time & day or days to do them. It's depends a person's life and time.

Question for you buddy, did you leave a review of the game before quitting? I really believe that those people that leave the game ,or are near leaving the game, really do need to go and give a review because this game seems to constantly have an exceptionally high rating. I think it is because new players come in and initially enjoy it much Much like I did, but over time you come to realize it’s faults and leave but never actually change the review. Also I think that it’s important that we give it a realistic review like you just did. The game certainly has its pros, otherwise I wouldn’t still be playing it, but it certainly has a Lotta faults and because of those faults I’ve came extremely close to leaving numerous times. BTW your content is still great and as long as I am even remotely interested in the subject matter I’ll still have me as a subscriber.

Got to agree with the general sentiment of the video. I understand I'm never going to be in the top ranks of any mode, but happy to do what I can. I'm happy enough with it just now (but as previous video comments, I've considered stopped a few times), however I very much doubt I'll still be playing by summer time as I'll have 'completed' all my own goals with it. Though that depends on if I can overcome my notoriously weak will when it comes to games!

I certainly will give a try to RSL with your links. That said, thinking there is such thing as a competitive mode in MSF other that who's spending the most money is a false paradigm. Get that out of your heads people, the game is rigged at every corner, super RNG, based on gambling tactics and pure luck because the red star system has the most impact on your roster progression and you have zero control over it. You either play less or more than other people and that's it. It's all PVE against dumb AI in an environment designed make you want to spend money. People thinking they play "competitively" at this game simply boosted themselves at believing it, just to feel better for spending so much time and sometimes money on it. It's a made up concept.

Raid shadow legend is super grindy and repetitive... and yes there are a ton of characters, but most of them are just tweeked copies of the same template character. Dont waste your time on it.

@@combs93 lol he makes a very good point. Raid you can pay $69.00 for a few shards and it doesn't even guarantee you the character you want to play. At least with MSF - you pay $39.00 you get 5 characters that you want - then you play and level them up - much preferred to Raid where you just PRAY you get a one in million lucky drop and even then you might never get the character you want. They both have grind.... at least with MSF you know what you are grinding. Just my 2 cents. Both games make it really hard to not spend really money - it's just the way they suck you in.

I've been playing the game since launch. The only problem there's no catch up mechanics. There is absolutely no way for new players to catch up they could play the game for 3 years And they're not ever going to catch up to launch players unless they introduce something. But was the boycott it seems that they're changing a lot of stuff like red stars. Hopefully they learn a lesson in the game changes for the best.

They're giving us promotion credits now at least they're going to. and they gave everybody because of a mistake they made gold promotion credits to promote characters to 6 Stars. But they basically said they're going to rebalance it so it's not so RNG

Yea the game is bad I played it when it first came out and i loved it for like 2 weeks the IP couldnt keep my interest and really the whole game just got dull really fast I actually just started playing MSF I'm 13 days in I found you cause I was looking for a guide on the beginner blitz haha but yea Marvels IP is just idk means alot to me I spent like 4k on future fight and then quit that game it didnt hold me either but I'm waiting for marvel future Revolution the MMO and Realm of Champions and Duels I hope MFR will be like marvel heroes!
