So this is why I stopped playing DBD. Hope some of you feel what I feel and understand where I'm coming from, I know some of you won't because "new skin go brrr", but that's cool too. Hope you guys stick around for the continuation of this channel and the direction I have it heading in. Let me know down here what games you'd like to see me play. Ok I understand what you mean with somethings but I disagree with other stuff I think the developers do like and play their game the have gotten much better at getting out smaller patches to fix some issues and what not and I think they listen a lot more then people think. But completely agree with most other things.

Tried to come back for this event but was quickly reminded why I uninstalled this dog shit game to begin with. I can't even do the challenges to progress. We all die before 3 gen area done, theres absolutely no point in playing.

this video perfectly describes why i quit recently too thankfully i only have 300 hours which apparently to some people is barely any hours at all. ...??? But even at this "small" amount of hours i quickly discovered the things you spoke of every game people are playing like its a tournament with money on the line. You have 1-2 builds you can run to even remotely have a chance or you'll be stomped. Then there's the obscene amount of toxicity EVERY game. regardless of your role. Then there's the ridiculous grind that forced you to buy dlc to get the meta perks etc. worst game I've ever played

@@HPLovesCraftsCat The truly sad part about the game is; it has so much potential. Also the fact that I don’t think there will ever be another game like it. At least when it comes to the amount of licensed horror characters existing in harmony, in one spot. It’s truly unfortunate.

the amount of times ive reported that the singularity chapter screwed my game performance up for a whole year but ignored my tickets, removed my posts and banned me from the forums is enough evidence they dont give a fuck

The invisible walls drove me nuts. I like using killer powers to get advantages... but all the limitations on gameplay just sucks the joy out of playing killer. Oh, I'm on the second floor of Ormond, and see a potential massive shred on a survivor, potentially hitting them? Well, screw you, there's an invisible wall that stops you less than two feet away from the main building. It's why I switched to Halo Wars 2, SWTOR and trying out Helldivers 2. It's just more fun than DBD will be.

I do understand as all those same reasons, as well as all the toxicity, are why I stopped playing DBD on the daily like I used to in the past with the Lights Out event being the last time I played the game completely, mainly due to the fact my PSN subscription ending near the end of said event. I just hate how a game that I’ve been exited to play back when Micheal Myers was first released and finally getting the chance to play in 2021 turned into such a toxic environment in which no matter which side you play, people are going to attack you and say such vulgar things to you, whether they won or loss against you.

The community is definitely up there with my reasons. It’s so toxic it’s not funny. You get flamed for playing a video game. Like it’s a religion to some of these people, it’s wild.

I play dbd but rarely playing solo is a mixed bag for me and wish focused less on skins cause while i would like to get a skin that has my eye I'm dont want to pour all my money into the game just wish there was another to grind for skins

That’s a problem for me, there’s like a 10 new PAID skins to good mechanical change ratio for this game and it’s dumb

@@TootenTV yeah and currently I'm focusing on saving money there are so many skins I want but I don't wanna make my wallet cry the last time I played dbd was when the blood moon event was up the extra blood ponts definitely motivated me then

Every patch breaking 20 different things and they either take 6 months to fix it or don’t fix it all. Competent devs lol.

I haven't quit it yet but i rarely play it these days its become very boring to me right now. Also had a break in 2 years ago that made me a more of gun owner as well.

It’s boring because it’s the same game we’ve played for years. There’s been no real additions outside of paid additions. No real meaningful mechanics, nothing. Also, I encourage gun ownership, especially in an area where having a break in is a possibility. Get a Glock or Sig, or go big ballin and get an AR. Get training, go shoot at your range and protect yourself and your family.

The game just lost all its charm it had back in the day. I liked the dark atmosphere and the old graphics n movement. The game is more " balanced " now but the balance is totally nullified because of SBMM lol. I live in EU aswell so the lobbies become even more sweaty at high mmr. Game is just a joke and its the same story everyday...... You gotta sweat to win no matter what side you play and if you dont you are just going to lose. Cant believe people still play this game!

If you said this last year I would understand, but up until the buggy unreal engine 5 update, DBD has been doing well. Compared to other years it was the least problematic year.

The game definitely got better from when I started playing in 2018 to 2021 maybe 2022. But we’ve been playing the same stale, unbalanced, poorly thought out game since then.

I couldn't disagree more. I respect your opinion, but after playing for years (started playing around Ghostie's announcement) my love for the game is only growing and growing, and present DBD, to me is the most fun and fair it's ever been. It's not perfect, the game still have very noticeable flaws, but the good stuff far outweights the bad stuff to me. Every single core issue is either worked at or being looked at : Camping have been adressed, flashlights and gens works better, killer balance is better, a lot more bugs have been resolved each patch, new gamemodes are being added and will continue to be added regularly, many QoL updates have been made, the meta was completely shaken and still sometimes change even today, and the devs have been more listening and communicative, with polls, good updates, PTBs, Q&As on Reddit, developer posts on the blog, livestreams.. All while genuinely reacting on the feedback. To me it's not a perfect game but these days it's a great title and the way it's handled is night and day compared to how it was a few years ago. I'm sorry you don't like it anymore, I'm not into guns and I'm french so it's not even possible to have that hobby here. But if you don't enjoy DBD anymore like I do, it's only natural to do something that you care about. I wish you the best moving forward

Hey man, agree to disagree. I do have to ask, because the way your post is worded it leads me to believe this; are you a survivor main who rarely plays killer? Maybe once in a blue moon, but not really hitting higher ranks? Not trying to insult you, just a question.

@@TootenTV I'm a killer main, that's my favorite side, and I sometimes play survivor (almost always solo queue) ! I love both a lot, and that's a huge factor in the fact that I did not get bored of the game yet. I did stop playing killer for a while around the time of the video you mentionned with the whole hockey situation (dark times indeed) but since then killer has become way, way less frustrating so I went back into it

Hey man, just different strokes for different folks then. The problems that I have and had with the game are still there. I feel a lot of people in the community have those problems as well. I’m not trying to, nor did I make this video to encourage people to stop playing the game. It was a vent really. I’m glad you still find enjoyment in it, rock on man.

@@TootenTV I can say the same for you, even if I'm not into guns (and can't benefit from your new content due to being in baguette land where guns are illegal) I'm happy to know you're doing something you enjoy. Your videos played a part in me falling in love with DBD and I watched them religiously back in the day, so I can only wish your new style of content works and is successful. Also, it takes a lot of courage to risk your content carreer to completely change what you're doing, and go for a far more "niche" subject. I highly respect that. Regardless on your thoughts about DBD, I wish you the best, Tooten, truly !

I’m not extremely biased. I think slugging is dumb, and well, I think it’s dumb that most killers are forced to slug in some aspect to do well. It’s fact though, most do have to do that to do well. It’s bad game design.

Nah man, you ain’t the real life deathslinger. You’re the real life Ellis from left 4 dead 2 💀 Ok but in all seriousness, alot of your points are valid. I don’t agree with the devs not listening to anything whatsoever, but they definitely do listen to some things, and not others. Sometimes they’ll listen to ptb feedback, sometimes they won’t. And they didn’t listen to us on not wanting mmr. Even otzdarva recently said that he was gonna stop giving feedback and suggested changes in his videos because in the latest developor q&a, the devs made it very clear that they have little to no ambition. And while the game is in the best state its been balance wise, tunneling and camping has never been worse. And even though the devs added a basekit anti-face camping and anti-tunneling feature, they made them barely do anything because the devs said that they support tunneling and camping and that they believe they’re valid and justified strategies. Oh and the community…This is the only game community in existence where nearly half of it refuses to read ANY patch notes, dev updates, or news regarding the game. This is the only game community in existence where you constantly think “How do these people function in day to day society?” Not even cod or csgo/cs2’s community is this stupid, stubborn, and arrogant.

Otz has put more effort to changing this game for the better than any other content creator in the space and they’ve consistently, basically, spit in his face. I talked about it my most recent DBD video. It’s whack dude. Check out that video if you want to see that they know everything that we’re complaining about. Also “real life Ellis” lmao. He’s my favorite character in L4D.

I quit right after Xenomorph came out and moved onto r6. was tired of the game being changed all the time and the perk changes. that and the game didn't feel the same after 3 years of playing.

Thanks man. This community can’t handle criticism, if they acknowledged that some people had points on the game being trash, it would make all of the money they spent on UwU skins and their 5,000 hours a waste of time and money.
