I was down at Forest Glen Preserve last December. I was going to do one night but wound up just doing the loop as a day hike because the sun went down at 4:15 p.m. and I couldn't figure out what I was going to do in the dark at camp by myself for 16 hours! Might have to go again in the fall when there's more daylight to enjoy the day.

16 hour campfire! (Or lots of downloaded Netflix) 😁 Definitely go back in the summer or fall. It's surprisingly beautiful for a place that's technically just a forest preserve.

I am mostly interested in documenting my trips for my Grandchildren. And I would like others to see just how much Michigan has to offer. However I have yet to figure out the technology.

Yay! Bloopers! 😂 I'm with you 100% on this topic. I started a channel to document my upcoming thru hike of the sheltowee trace. Enjoy making the videos so I can go back and reminisce on my trips. Sharing with other is a bonus!

I must have 100 or so hiking videos on KZbin just for my own use. I keep them private and watch them all the time (easier than on my computer). There are a few that are public but no one watches them…
