Well said and I agree. For a morning race, I never eat anything. Will eat a big lunch maybe the day before, but also keep the dinner light. Less toilet disasters too lol. I think people should also try to remember how they felt as a kid. Being an adult is hard, but in a different way. Like when I was young, I was constantly hungry and constantly tired lol, but I just continued on. Have been living really simple these last couple years and pushing myself to my limit and feeling more and more like a kid again. It’s not just running more though. Here’s where I’m gonna sound like a nut case, but I started sleeping on the cold hard ground and running barefoot since a series of injuries and chronic pain. Easily the best decision I ever made. Just goes back to living more naturally like an early human before our “intelligence” ruined everything lol. Don’t always recommend people jump straight into it, but just keep that in mind when everything starts going wrong and your invincible youth starts to fade. Also congrats on the pr! I ran 4:58 in high school and running my first mile on the track in 8 years come this weekend. Just hoping for like 5:50. Ran a 42:56 10k last weekend and very stoked with that after the struggles and transitions of the last few years.

Should I just eat small meal like lunch on meet days?
