I can connect to my PS5, Xbox One Series X, Steam and GeForce Now apps and it plays them all with no problem. I've had mine since Dec.2022. Heck, I played Texas Chainsaw Massacre from the PS5 & Starfield from my Xbox Series X early today. I was outside at my Mom's waiting for her to get home (about 15 miles awat from my home). Can't understand the hate and misinformation about the G Cloud.

The G Cloud is not a travelling device unless you are OK just using it to watch videos , surf, or play classic emulations as the G cloud is capable of. I personally only use the Gcloud at home and use Gamepass, Geforcenow and Boosteroid. Ive been playing witcher with RTX on and its amazing and beats any pc handheld tbh just because its streaming graphics somewhere else and with good internet at home, you are pretty set. Now, if I do take it travelling, I use it to watch movies, and play NES, SNES, Gamecube, etc.. or even Android games and it does it pretty good. The bonus of the G cloud is the huge battery life of 12 hours give or take, and the screen aspect ratio is great for gaming, even classic emulations, better than steamdeck at 1080 p, and its competitor the Razr edge with the wide aspect ratio). PC tablets, dont last as long battery wise, cost more, and just buying a tablet and getting a controller like the backbone, you end up paying the same if not more than the g cloud. G cloud is just a much better alt than having to use your phone or some kind of controllerless android tablet; So do buy if you are like me. Otherwise, if you game all the time, traveland whant to still game out of the box without compromise and dependance on internet, etc, then a steamdeck or any pc tablet will be a better alt to this.

@@Jpizzo1995 I dont have a PC with a decent GPU, so Geforce/boosteroid and gamepass are my choice for gaming on the Logitech G cloud. I'd definitely consider Moonlight on the G Cloud if I do get a PC upgrade for sure.

@@homebrewGT2PlayStation is charging $200 for their portal. But it can only play on their system. This can play on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC streaming platforms. That extra $100 is worth it.

So paying more for less is justified to you? The only reason it’s light and has better battery is because it literally is just a low power glorified tablet. This should have been priced at $200 or less.

@@darrylneiltanyag2487 because the Z1 Extreme only has a marginal difference. What the z1 vs G Cloud can do are a very drastic difference. My z1 performs just fine on triple A games, same as my MSI Claw. Thats why the Z1 is such a steal… and yet this G Cloud is useless without a proper WiFi connection and can’t be used anywhere cloud services aren’t offered.

As someone who has owned an Ally and a steam deck. I actually still look to getting this because even though I need an internet connection, it just feels easier. I don’t have to do constant updates, calibrate, etc. I can just pick a game and play. As long as I have a decent connection, I’ll be alright. I won’t be playing hardcore games that I normally run on my desktop. Might pick this up.

I see more this as an "in-home" console rather thana portable console, its good if you want to lay on bed, the sofa, or anywhere within your home and good wifi and play, for me, it covers the before sleep lay on bed playtime scenario...

Then I have no idea where the absurd price comes from. That it costs about 40$ less than the Deck which is an actual portable console blows my mind. If cloud gaming is all you want to do, even a cheap Android phone can do that.

Just a SCAM and a SHAM, through and through! 😤

You don't need an Xbox console, just Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. That has cloud gaming and that's what this device is mainly touted for.

Mvidia ge force now ultimate edition for 4k streaming recommends 45 MBps connection which is not a very huge requirement

I made it very clear in the video, this device is a glorified expensive android tablet. With the Ally z1 being sold at $399, this is not worth it.

You can’t compare it to gaming on your phone because no 300 dollar phone does it that good. If you pay 800 to 1000 dollar for a phone, than yes, it will perform better, just like the Rog Ally is way more expensive than the G Cloud. Nothing in the price range of the G cloud offers the same gaming experience for what it is designed to be.

The problem is, performance isn’t really a huge issue here because most of this is being done on the cloud. Most people DO have a 800-1000 phone anyways, so why not just use that?

@@thespenceryanI mean the reason why you don't use that is because most people don't want to waste their batteries on their phone. They're already dismal to begin with. Also the constant interruptions that you get, and no I am not going to put my phone into do not disturb mode because I want to play some games.

It's a companion device for your Steamlink, PS remoteplay, Xbox game pass, geforce now, shadow pc, etc. It's not a dedicated gaming handheld.

My Switch Lite has garbage battery life compared to this thing and this has more functionality overall...I think the end user needs to ask what they will truly use it for...Thats the true value...These have HDMI out now too don't they? (Software update)

I have a mobile wifi device. I think that might be something that would make a difference. But not everyone has one or wants to buy something like that specifically to make this device better. But i also think it will be great for general tablet use. It still has playstore games and apps. With that battery life im gonns use it for Pandora, kindle, comic/manga readers, videos, etc and save my phone's battery. 😅

You are just a hater! I could name a whole massive list of all the great things about this handheld! Xbox Handheld with little to no latency on your Xbox games, 1080p display, insane battery life compared to the PC handhelds, ability to play emulators and android games offline when you can’t connect to WiFi, better portability than most of the PC handhelds! I can go on but you get the gist

I do have a steamdeck , gaming rig , gaming laptop , ipad (classes) and work laptop. With GFN, I slashed sd , gaming rig and g laptop. I mean the device can last 5 years without any upgrades. Even if i pay subscription, It still a lot cheaper compared to buying and maintaining gaming devices. I do have wifi 6e and 100 mbps. I get decent gaming with 70ms latency. I was considering getting a ROG ally to play. But with this , I am good. I was just going to play gfn on ally anyway.

This thing is just too expensive in my opinion. I just don't find it compelling when it costs more than a Switch OLED. If it was around the £150 mark, I think it would be a great option for a lot of people.

I think your review has a bit of an issue. You say, this isnt a competitor to the Ally or SteamDeck and a few seconds later say with the steamdeck a little more, this isnt the best choice. I think you nail the idea this is an android tablet with a controller attached. Its primary focus is cloud and remote streaming and it works well for what its advertised. For having a lower end more efficiency focused SOC, it handles mobile games and emulators better than expected. I do wiah they went with Android 12 for better compatibility and better optimization. All and all, I think if you have a good PC and/or console this device is great and offers alot more than say the playstation portal. I think if they had hit a $250, with a $200 sales price. This device would have been the best for remote/cloud gaming.

If you hear from this guy, make sure you listen to other videos too before you make your judgment. Do yourself a favor and give yourself another perspective first. I've been on this machine way more than the Switch now, as long as I have Wifi I'm good. If not, I just use this as an emulator machine or Android game machine. You just can't lose. There's a lot of pros to this machine, but may need a little tinkering. The battery is so good. It does better at PlayStation than the Portal. You can even stream PC and Game Pass. This is along the lines of the Portal but does much more. Also, now it helps me more when determining getting a game on the Switch or getting on a PC. If I play with good Wifi anyway I'll get it on PC and then stream it. Better graphics, better frames too.

I agree with watching multiple videos to make your decision. In my opinion it’s just a glorified android tablet. And the PS Portal isn’t a great idea to me either. The concept of dedicated cloud devices doesn’t sit well with me when we carry cloud capable devices with us daily.

Don't trust this guy, he would rather play video games than enjoy the beauty of the Dominican Republic. I have the G Cloud and it is amazing for playing games on your couch, it gets pretty meh outside of your house. As long as you know what you are getting into, this product is great.

@@thespenceryan Not really, the main point of your video is don't buy this device because it makes a bad travel gaming system. My point is that it isn't a travel gaming system at all and that if you are looking for a device that is your gaming couch companion, this thing is perfect for you. You didn't even mention streaming to this device. If you already have a good gaming pc, you can seamlessly stream to it and play anything you want, even switch emulation. For at home gaming, this device is better than the steam deck and ROG ally: better battery life, great ergonomics, doesn't get hot or loud, and it is ultimately cheaper. You just looked at this device from a narrow perspective, yes one that others may have, but still a narrow one.

This is a completely disingenuous review. The G cloud is not meant to go with you. It’s a stay by your bedside or walk around the house with you. They don’t advertise going other places and your review is completely ridiculous. You should feel ashamed of yourself.

@@thespenceryan hey thanks for replying. I got the G cloud a year ago. I got an Xbox in the Steam account. I’ve enjoyed the thing tremendously over the last year. It’s one of those devices we can play anywhere as long as you’re near your home it does not advertise otherwise. I played 10 hours of boulders gate three on the thing no recharging no nothing. My issue, is the price tag. It should be a $200-$250 product. The reason I take issue, is it a lot of reviewers think they can jump on the train or go in a hotel with it. It’s not meant for that. It’s her when you’re playing boulders at your computer, and you want to lay in bed for the next hour and finish your session, it does wonderful for that.

Logitech could have gotten away with it if they sold it for max 150$. At 400$ just buy a PC Handheld instead. Everyone make PC Handhelds except for Logitech and Razer who still release irrelevant overpriced Android handhelds where 99% of Android games don't even support a controller.

PC Handheld are hand warmers that have 2 hours battery life. And only have less than half of the performance of a real PC. Plus it weighs twice as much.

My library is mostly ps5 this is worth it than ps portal. Atleast you have android games. And duh the steam games I play is better played on pc. As if ally and steam deck can play dota 2 and pubg flawlessly handheld mode. Some people connecting a controller , keyboard and mouse on the new ally and deck what’s the point? Just buy a pc or laptop if you’ll just dock it. Lol 😂

This review is so tone deaf to what the purpose of this device is and what it's advertised as. It's a 7in handheld cloud gaming device. Anyone that this device appeals to knows the limitations of cloud gaming and if you want a dedicated device for that purpose, this is an excellent device for it.
