@@TheFrenchGlow any combo usually can never be as good as a specialized thing. It was so back when there were VHS & DVD players, it's the same with robotic vacuums & mop combo and it will likewise apply to anything else. Back in the while I bought roborock S5 when it was one of the best in the class and it just never really delivered well on any of the features. Hence I bought separate vacuum (v15) and separate mop (Karcher fc7) and I'm happy. Arguing that hard floor mop can't vacuum carpet is as stupid as saying that a towing truck doesn't perform well on a race track.

Try the shark hydrovac. It’s much less expensive especially if you’re skeptical. I was gifted one for Christmas and have used it a few times and it works amazingly. I was extremely skeptical even receiving one as a gift, however it works amazingly and I couldn’t be happier. It’s few drawbacks are it doesn’t get fully against walls, you can’t leave and solution in the clean tank when storing it, and it won’t leave enough water in the clean water tank on its own to be able to run a full self-cleaning cycle so you have to top it off before running the self clean cycle. Other than that though it has left my floors mostly dry and extremely clean after each use without tedious maintenance, other than emptying each tank afterwards.

I got a great deal on the Tineco S7 Pro last week, and I’m really loving it! The S7 Pro is very well-designed and thoughtfully engineered. The overall fit-and-finish is impressive as well (and should be, with its $700+ MSRP) I really enjoy the self-propulsion, and it’s so efficient with water and suction (my floors aren't oversaturated like they were with my Bissell Crosswave X7). I also love that it electrolyzes regular tap water, turning it into a powerful cleaner, so no more buying extra cleaning solution-something my old Bissell constantly needed. The cleaning cycles are thorough, too, keeping the soft roller and internals spotless. Honestly, Tineco is now the DJI of hard-floor cleaners. Legacy vacuum brands better watch their backs...

@@TheFrenchGlow I bought the G1 but I returned it for repairs immediately. The problems that you mentioned with the debris tray are only the tip of the iceberg. A bigger problem is that the lower, grey portion of the debris tray assembly, is held to the red portion via a 1.4 mm "ledge" on the red part. However the lateral play on the assembled grey part was over 3 mm....which means that the grey part kept falling off. The machine you had in the video had the same problem. See how the undertray got dislodged effortlessly and unintentionally at 9 min 23 sec into the video. This problem made the machine a nightmare, especially if you want to clean stairs. Great efforts for the WashG1 demonstration, but the use case is questionable. It would be only best to use it as a mop for liquid instead of wet wash from your demonstration, it does not really handle the solid, I guess cleaning the solid manually then use the WashG1 would be a better solution. The tray system really requires intensive post-clean up so it uses a lot of water and efforts, if not clean up immediately, I cannot imagine the smell of it. I'm surprise about the drip tray does not have a raised curve design to retain the waste water like the V15s, seems like it can be improved on the next one. Also the self cleaning system appears to be sur-par and cannot comprehensively cleanup all mess.
