Dont tell this to many, but when i heard your story i felt you would know. Im 69 ,have ridden all my life . Went for a ride through the north ga. Mountians in the states a few years back, half way to my destination it started raining and i decided to push foward . The sky got darker and the rain got heavier i was in some serious curves , no one was out and about all of a sudden a falcon flew out of the woods about 30 feet in front of my bike, i dont know how long it stayed but it flew in front of me leaning, and banking through the curves ahead like a heaven sent guide. I thought i had picked the wrong day to ride, turned out those few minutes were what people spend a lifetime searching for. That memory is etched into my soul...best ride of 50 years in the saddle my brother in the wind.

That’s awesome. We live pretty close to the dragon. Blue ridge parkway. Ext. so we (wife and I) take a lot of just nice day rides. And once we was coming down the parkway and turned into this nice curvy road that over looked a mnt view and all the sudden we noticed this huge eagle just cruising along beside of us with the mnt and the sunset in the background. And my wife said. “Some moments in life just time out to be absolutely perfect. And that was one of those moments”. Doing nothing else in the world would have been better than that moment. It’s rare. And very special when it happens.

Robbie was delivering a message.. the same that my grandfather left to me. He believed that "we are what we give to others!" (no matter what, when or how). Our existence could be resumed to what we give, and the memorie that are created by doing it. I believe only good souls will receive it, the honest and humble, the purest and simple, the kindest ones. I also believe, that through motorcycles, this message is delivered more often.

These stories really are the reason we ride. Last year I decided to do a 600 mile solo round trip to visit my brother on a holiday weekend. I decided to do it on my '78 FXE Shovelhead, a bike I had owned only a little while and never ridden it very far from home. The morning I left it was pouring rain but I was determined to go anyway. Thankfully the rain stopped half way there, but 3/4 of the way to my brother's place the old Shovel stopped also, on a lonely road miles from any town. Immediately two different people stopped and asked if I needed help. The first guy had gas but didn't know how to fix a bike. The second guy and his wife pulled over (he was an old-school biker) and offered to help fix the "Troublehead" as he called it. I had tools for everything except a pair of wire strippers, which he had in his truck. Thankfully the wire on the ignition switch terminal was the only problem and 20 minutes later I was back on the road. In my time of need people showed up with offers of help, even in the middle of nowhere. That was one of those moments for me that renewed my faith in humanity. Thank you for making these videos, it reminds us there are good people the world over and we all need to look for opportunities to pay the debt forward.

A beautiful story and well told. My solo trip to the North of Scotland was during the pandemic in October 2020. 'Bob' my 2011 Harley Fat Bob and I set off in the pouring rain and it rarely stopped for the whole week. It nearly ended before it started when someone pulled out right in front of me on the A9. We missed each other by inches. I didnt stop coz I knew I would do something bad to him, I just kept going with me staring at him in my mirror and him stationary in the middle of the road staring back at me. I did the route anticlockwise because someone said it was the best way. An amazing experience and because of the pandemic there was nobody out and about until I got back down into Cumbria. Since then Ive solo rode through France and Spain but I want to return to Scotland. It was a different sort of experience.

@@spudgunson Thanks mate ! Bloody hell apart from the rain must have been great during pandemic, I bet it was so peaceful. Lucky with that near miss. I got ran into the rocks on Applecross by a twat in a huge van life wagon , He had a passing point to pull into I did not , He just kept coming at me I was going down hill He didn’t even slow down Jolene was skinny but he left me 5 inches on tarmac And I literally dropped into the rubble on the rock side Bounced over jagged rocks and came to a stopped Thought I’d have multiple punctures But no damage I just got my cooker out made a cup of tea to calm down .. if I had it my way all vans would be banned from them little roads .. Car drivers are bad enough Car drivers in giant vehicles Is just a no no . Hopefully next time you back Get some dryer weather

What an incredible story. The bit about your mum made me think of my dad - he always wanted to ride off and take photos in Scotland’s wild places but never managed to do it. Robbie sounds like an absolute legend - I love mad characters because they’re (usually) genuine people who’ve been through the wringer and have some life lessons to share. What a kind thing for Robbie to do. If you get back up here next year, do shout out as I’d be happy to show you around my neck of the woods near the Cairngorms National Park. Reminds me that I should get a shifty on and do the north coast. Not done the northwest or the top and I don’t live that bloody far away either. Looking forward to some more stories.

Just watched all 4 of this series, absolutely stunning thanks for sharing your stories. Had me close to tears in a few of them. You did well with the weather for April , I think May, June , September best times to avoid most of the tourists and midges and be a bit warmer. When I saw the pic of your mum she looked familiar not sure if I have seen a tv programme or a book about her / with her photos or seen her somewhere else. I was in a remote part of Sutherland a lot in the 70s and 80s when I was a kid ( born 69) as had family there and stayed with them most summers. My Brother in law was a game keeper on one of the estates.

You know, i dont own a motorbike or ever ridden one but this came up as a suggestion (i do wild camp) and man, just a great story of your journey but about the eagle flying with you is wonderful and i kind of know how you felt. To cut a long story short, my brother died a few years ago and I'd read that when those close to you die, they can appear or send signals in all sorts of form. Well, in my grief i decided i needed to push myself to make me feel alive again and so moved into a tiny little village in sussex without public transport, so i would have to cycle into work in Brighton every day. This also meant having to cycle up and over Ditching beacon, one of the highest hills in Sussex. Anyway, one day i was cycling along the top at some speed when suddenly, kestrel LITERALLY flew head height with me for a good minute or more , i could reach out and grab it, it was so close. We were eyeballing one another the whole way, me keeping one eye on the road and smiling the biggest smile possible with tears rolling down my face as me and this wonderful bird connected. My brother loved birds, trained a wild crow once but he loved kestrels and im convinced this day was him in some way saying hi. I believe your experience was your mother communicating with you. I don't believe in God in the traditional sense but i do believe the energy of those who have passed, lives on in some way which makes wonderful experiences like this happen. The world is full of wonder and wonderful people like Robbie Anderson. All the best. Safe travels.

I had a friend called Lee Hook , he was the must crazy fun person ever , But passed when he was 29 . A few weeks later I passed the little old church where he was buried and stopped by to talk . I sat next to his stone and there was a brass dish that used to have incense sticks in it , anyway I rolled a joint and cracked a beer .. Without thinking much about it filled up the brass dish with a beer for Lee Seconds later a Robin flew down I hadn’t noticed it But it was sitting 3ft away on a bush That robin started drinking the beer . Blew my mind , Lee was there . Sat and had a chat . But it was a moment .
