I've got the original Vanille Fatal. . I'm a bit nervous about the new one. The OG always makes me think of antique Custard 🤣. It gets very Sandalwood in the dry down, but so lovely. With that Tom Ford dirty DNA. Your welcome to sample it if you wanted to do a comparison. I'm so pleased i didn't sell it, because i did get bored of it over a year ago. Cuir Beluga is a beauty. Always loved it, and that soft Guerlain style is exactly what I've been enjoying in 2024 so far. And yes to the older bottles being far superior. Elegant and slender

I’m so sorry to hear that! Long covid is absolutely awful. I honestly didn’t think I was ever going to get my smell back at one point. I’m so happy that it’s returning now and I’m able to enjoy what I love again. I really hope that your sense of smell returns too, I know how grim it feels. I agree with you on Bosch Vanilla, to me it smells like raw eggs! I love coco vanille on the other hand, it's a buttery smooth tiare flower and a gourmand vanilla which is so warming, the coconut is more of a supporting note for the vanilla ❤✨

The thing about C is it can mess with your smell ,for a very long time and some people have said it’s never fully come back Thanks for sharing your new fragrances ! It’s been over a year ago that I had it and it’s caused so many issues for me. My smell has been so strange, coming and going but it’s got so much better over the last couple of months. It’s horrible how it can affect you. I know, I loved Gris Dior so much. It’s a shame that you don’t love Tresor anymore. It’s crazy how our taste and noses can change. Love you too ❤️

I think people who took the juice 🧃 got the "long covid" and eventually lost their sense of smell! I believe I did catch that Omega variety which was a big nothing burger but I never got tested. Anyway it's very sad- I am sorry you lost your sense of smell. I too lost mine for about a month a couple years ago. But now I am both healthy and can smell! I am wearing Ambra Aurea today by Profumum Roma. Rosend#5 is great but it's not a"floral Amber musk" I don't smell ANY flowers nor Amber but instead something strangely savory like oud kind of- Western synthetic oud. It's a bit skanky and strange imo. But is not like Babycat at all- Babycat ends with vanilla, a bit of leather and incense. I don't really like the imitations of it as much. They are not exact- such as the Paris Corner one..

Funnily enough I’ve been looking into Profumum Roma fragrances lately as I’ve not tried any of them. Ambra Aurea does sound good ❤️

Chantel, what have you done or used to restore your sense of smell or has it just taken time to get it back? I’ve struggled with this issue as well and it’s so frustrating and I’ve felt so incredibly deprived of a chunk of my life because my once highly sensitive sense of smell and taste are mostly absent. 🥺🥺🥺

I’m sorry to hear that you’re struggling with your sense of smell too. I did do some olfactory training with essential oils a while ago but I can’t say that it helped much. I think it’s just gradually returned over time, it’s not at all what it used to be but it’s definitely getting better. I agree, it can be very grim. My taste is also a bit funny but it has gotten better faster than my sense of smell. Fingers crossed that your’s improves soon. It’s so sad, especially when you love fragrances like we do.
