I should of mentioned this in the video. I forgot people always assume the worst in people. I did NOT sell any games/toys/art/or anything else that was gifted to me. Even when I was told I could. I still have the Action 52 Jason gave me in one of the Canadian episodes. My nightly streams are played on the custom painted blue/lightning NES gifted to me also in Canadia. I can list stuff all day.

I understand that dude! As a collector I knew my stuff was gone the second I needed to pay bills. The move to California caused me to sell my whole collection! But now I am more stable and will be building back up!

The fact that you guys decided to sell off parts of your collection to help fund the movie really shows how much you believe in it. And that is so admirable considering the memories certain games have from the show and real life. Highly respect that Jay and although its not always easy to sell off parts of the collection (buyers remorse) you can always find stuff again like you said. It will definitely be interesting to see how chasing and haggling years later will be for future episodes. And I'm sure us fans will also play a hand in helping you guys rebuild it as well. Why? Because the "CHODE NATION, OH WHAT A NATION!"

I went to start rebuilding but na the drive is gone and i have a retro pie loaded with everything i had only thing i have now is my dreacast and the rarest game i own on that is marvel vs capcom 2

Really interesting and surprisingly mature. Perhaps instead of getting Turtles in Time on Super Nintendo get the Arcade 1up Repro because it is the arcade version and includes the first game as well

I recently went through a cleanse of my collection last month. Its nothing like your guys collections. Got rid of about 10 to 12 games that were mostly rpgs that I either subpar cared about or just don't have the time to play them. At the end of the day if you don't really cherish an item it's just a hunk of plastic sitting on your shelf that could be cashed in for things that you actually do care about.

Ive been cheering for you guys to get closer and closer to complete sets all these years and for you to just sell most of it makes it seems wasted. Seeing you guys buy games we've seen you buy before isn't going to be as fun. This sucks, it's like we're going backwards. At least you kept the complete N64, that's a relief.

You don’t need to explain yourself Jay, people will always judge. Making your film is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Even Kevin Smith talks about how he sold his comic book collection and maxed out his credit cards to make Clerks. I can’t wait to see the movie man! I think this is perfect to be honest. It could make room for some sort of extra series on game chasers: where you and billy target specific games that you sold and that you want back, trying to track em up again and re-purchase them! You could call it like, Chasing the lost... or something less cheesy. Whatever you guys decide to do, you'll always have my support!

I think that any collector is sometimes going to sell. It shouldn't be a controversial issue. The fun is in the hunt and playing the game. It can be gratifying to have something on the shelf for a bit but it doesn't last.

I've been doing the same. Playing on original hardware is still important to me, and there are games that mean a lot to me that I'm keeping, but I've realized having all this stuff just doesn't make me happy anymore. Flashcarts and ODEs have become a much better use of my time, money and space.

Gotta do what you gotta do. Collecting is awesome but there’s always some other thing that pops out that needs funding and happens to be more important than video games. I’m working on my 5th game collection I think lol. Something always seems to get in the way but I won’t give up. I keep on chasing those games!

I fully expected you to keep the N64 stuff since you completed the collection and glad you did :) As long as you have Everdrives around you dont need the original cart to still have fun with your consoles. You shouldn't even need to make this video, it's your stuff do what you will with it. If you came to us and said "I sold everything and bought a Raspberry Pi" that's your deal and I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision. On the other hand...i'm glad you kept your N64 collection intact, it always such a cool moment in the series when you were edging closer and closer to completing it. You do you, and focus on the movie brother!
