Did you not listen to his reasoning for it being on the list?? Or did you get mad and click off? He immediately explained the only reason it's on there is because it came highly recommended by KZbin commenters, he hasn't finished the previous games yet and hasn't had time to, so essentially he wasted money on it because hes not even in the position yet to play the game

I got Nintendogs for free with my 3DS and figured it would not be my kind of game. I still ended up playing it for at least 15 hours though. Pretty fun for a casual game. I regret buying GTA 5 three seperate times. Paying £45 for the game on Xbox upon launch, then paying another £40 for the game on PS4... And THEN buying the PS3 version for £20. There have been a few for me going back to Mission Impossible 64, reading Nintendo Power it was hyped to have 64DD access, facial recognition, etc, but the final product was lackluster and no where near what Goldeneye 007 was. Easily a waste of $59.99. I also bought Tank!Tank!Tank! for $50 and then sold it shortly afterward for $45. I then rebought it months later for a mere $15 used. Fun game, and even though it is free to play, having all of the content for $15 was an easy decision. I don't regret owning it, just spending so much.

I cant make bad decisions when it comes to buying a game. I did when I was a kid but now in days I have to watch 10 reviews and really think about it before I make a purchase. for instants I wanted to buy ''New Yoshi's Island 3ds'' but the reviews told me its not worth the 39.99 price tag so I passed. I cant afford to waste money on garbage is what I'm saying, and its working for me.

By the way the bugs life game is not a gameboy color game. You can tell because the cartridge has a little nick in the upper right hand corner. The original DMG used this to lock games into the console to prevent kids from pulling the games out of the system while being played. A good example of a gameboy color game is Kirby tilt n tumble. Which has a colored bubbly see through cartridge which is incompatible with the DMG, gameboy light, and gameboy pocket systems.

The games that I regret buying are: 1. Assassin's Creed 3: The game was a bit too simple, which made it feel dull and couldn't really capture my attention. 2. Mortal Kombat 9: It's a good game, but 2 weeks after I bought it; the Komplete edition was announced. 3. Deus ex Human Revolution: The only problem I have with this game is that you have to take the assault path with the boss battles, two months after buying the game; the Director's Cut goes multiplatform, and fixes the only problem with the original game.

A big thx for the effort and your time. So much truth in this great topic. Yeah, there will always be many games that pull you in. I´m just like you; pretty gullible especially regarding Steam sales. It´s all about being truthful and your taste changes after all. Here´s my list so far.. Starforge - I know it´s only a 3 man team, yet nothings happening with that game. Agricultural Simulator: Historical Farming, my son recommended it because I have enjoyed The Farming sims! - This game, never seen so many glitches in a game! Blue Toad Murder Files - Had just finished some Sherlock games and loved those films, my bad :) ORION Dino Horde - should have known the name was a warning! Here are others; Solar 2, Fable III-what a let down that was, the first game was so good? Zeno Clash - thought it would take me to another world, yet was so buggy. Thanks for the video ;)

I pre-ordered Splinter Cell: Blacklist, two copies. Standard and Collectors edition. I usually keep the collector's editions sealed and play the regular copies. Paid top money for them, and just one month after release the price had dropped almost 2/3. You could even get the collector's edition at that point as it hadn't even sold out. Kinda wasted my money, but on the other hand it was a pretty good game.

Hey Pete, new fan. I enjoy your insight on gaming. I've been actively collecting for about 3 years now. I go through phases of what I want to add to my collection and at times I find it hard to know when to hold back from buying a game. Should I cave in and buy a brand new $60 game, or hold back and buy several good, older generation games and wait for the price to drop in about a year on the new one I'm interested in? I know certain JRPG or RPG's don't drop in price and sometimes go up in price, so I don't feel guilty about buying those new.Same thing with certain first party developed games. Do you have an opinion on it? Thanks for posting some awesome videos, keep up the good work.

STOP PLAYING WHATEVER IT IS YOU'RE PLAYING AND PLAY & COMPLETE MGS4 NOW! I agree with playing them in proper sequence, but I want you to ask yourself - "am I realistically ever gonna play 1,2 & 3?" If your answer is "no", then just pop in MGS4, play it, and be done with it. It's that good. This is coming from a guy who just played through it recently for the first time too. I feel terrible for not playing it years earlier.

Dude, you need to play MGS1-4. Trust me, for somebody who's played and enjoyed 1-3, MGS4 is one of the most amazing experiences in gaming. But kudos for not having played the fourth yet before the other ones. That would ruin so much of it.

Agreed my Konami brethren. I love the Metal Gear Solid series. Funny thing about it is despite the fact that I dislike stealth games, MGS is one of my favorite series of games of all time. The storytelling is top notch and the boss fights are among the most memorable and unique in gaming. Pete really needs to play them.

LambOfLucifer Remember the fight with Psycho Mantis from the first MGS on PS1? The dual shock controller had just came out so MGS was among the first few titles that used it. I'll never forget when Psycho Mantis told me to put my controller on the floor and he moved it with his telekinetic powers. That was so creative. Also loved to hear him say "So, you like Castlevania?" when he noticed a Castlevania Symphony of the Night (another Konami masterpiece) save file was on my memory card. Unforgettable moments like that make me glad to be a gamer.
@LambOfLucifer

Andrew Phillips Yeh man it freaked me out too. Swapping ports so he cant read your mind. All the MGS games have pioneering elements to them. I was much younger when 1 came out. I made every single member of my family watch me beat the demo. Then begged for the game on release. Some of the greatest gaming of all time. The stories are incredible, so many unusual characters and storylines, plot twists. Pete seriously doesnt have a clue what he is missing out on.
@andrewwebsterphillips
@andrewwebsterphillips 9 жыл бұрын
LambOfLucifer Yeah Pete really needs to play them. I think every gamer owes it to themselves to experience the series. Like I said I don't even like stealth games. I find them tedious and frustrating. However, I love MGS. That speaks of its quality right there. A game so great that I enjoyed it even though I don't even like its genre.

HAHA Shit, I thought I was the only one! I've always had a weird attraction to those types of pictures as well. I actually got arrested for shoplifting when I was very young, stole a cover that was like that off the front of a Lords of Acid CD. I've still never heard anything by them. The guy came up and grabbed me, said, "I see the CD in your pocket," and the rest is history. Except I didn't have a CD. Just an album cover haha. But, yea. I'm a sucker for those pictures as well. Glad I'm not the only one.

Milk man I was like fifteen.. I was in my first band and we were all travelling around on our way to a guitar center a few hours from where we lived. So I had a bandana tied around my head, aviators, a sweatshirt vest with no shirt under it. I was truly skanking, and therefore presented an even sketchier appearance than usual. I was the bass player, after all; expected to be the brooding, rebellious type. I nabbed that picture, and put it in the pouch on the front of my shirt. My posse and I were walking out a hallway to get to the parking garage out back, and suddenly I felt someone grab my arm. I assumed it was one of my bandmates, but it was a burly monstrosity of a music store clerk. He said, "Hey, you got a CD in your pocket?" I said, "Uh. No. Just a picture." He really didn't believe me, but it turned out that I was telling the truth. But he also found the CD that the picture went to, proving that I had stolen it. He held me there 'til the fuzz arrived. Upon my escort out to the squad car, some big black woman shouted, "Don't worry honey! I got arrested for the same thing yesterday!" While I appreciated her being able to relate, it somehow didn't make me feel much better. I was taken in and booked, and put in a cell until my dad could make it down to pick me up. He let me wait for something like nine hours, and I nearly went insane. Punishment, you see. But when he showed up, he wasn't mad at me. He took me to the record store, and I apologized, then we got ice cream;where he simply asked me if I had learned my lesson. I said I had. It seems my confinement and public humiliation were punishment enough. It actually worked well, as I never stole another thing; still haven't actually. This was in 2003. I went back there last year, and my picture is still taped to the board that says, 'BANNED.'

Great list. I can't really think of a game that I regret buying, but if I had to choose one it'll have to be Deadliest Warrior from the Xbox Live Arcade. I played it for a few days with my friends, then I never played it again. Being a fan of fighters it was fun at first, but seriously lacked in depth and features.

Hey Pete. You should do a video on games that you missed out on and the price of the games you missed out on has gotten really expensive. For example I accidentally missed out on Xenoblade Chronicles for the wii. Because I was too focused on getting RPG's for the PS3 and PSP. And it cost like $95 to get it used. And I really want a copy of that game =(.

PeteDorr This may be a fix to the stuttering for The Walking Dead: 1. Insert game into the Xbox and turn it on 2. When you see the game appear, press X to go to the page where you would usually download it 3. You should see the option "Install" click that. What this does is installs some of the games files into the hard drive so your Xbox can quickly load up the files it needs to, this will work with any Xbox 360 game, so hopefully this will help!

I dont regret buying alot of games, but when I do it tends to be ps3 games that I shouldve bout on the 360. (Not a Xbox 360 fanboy they just tend to have smoother framerates than the ps3 version of MOST multiplat games.)

Yeah I've always bought multi platform on 360 and continued to do so even after getting a PS3. Typically the 360 versions are better spec wise, but there are exceptions. PS3 has a ton of good exclusives so I'm glad I own the thing.

Hm. I'm hearing a tale of bad consumer choices and a strong lack of shrewdness when buying things at least for the moments where this happened. Falling for marketing ploys. Getting wrapped up in hype. Peer Pressure. Buying things at launch. And lastly buying things with the hopes that they have great resale value. The first four things are like fine. We all fall for it but the fifth item you have to slash that out of your head you can't buy things expecting to get money back especially in the gaming market. It's like cars and comics. The more recent it is the less chance you'll make your money back because it's not nostalgic and it has nothing of real interest to make it highly valued. And if it's being sold as a limited edition it's completely worthless. Priceless things are not self aware. Emulators really haven't gotten around to perfecting the PS2 engine, Playstation 2 is not a console made like the first couple generations where you could have it carpet bombed and it would still run and refurbishing only goes so far and as of right now you can't find a good doppleganger to play them so It's quite grim on making any money back on selling games made in the past ten years even with there being collectors of sorts.
