Currently running two Hydra 64's on my Reefer 425xl and they are quite nice. PAR spread is good but I actually like that it provides lower PAR near the outside edges of the tank to accommodate less light hungry LPS and Softies. At 50% they provide 350 plus PAR at the top third of tank and 60-150 in the other areas.

I have Kessil 360’s on my large tank and would agree with all your points - expensive and lacking a bit in light quality to optimally display the animals. On my newer tank I went with Red Sea ReefLED’s and am very happy with them. Much cheaper, good WiFi control, quiet and with good overall light quality. Interestingly my corals grow better under the Red Sea lights as well, though I confess there could be a number of other variables at play there. Thanks for another great video.

I use a single hydra 52hd on my converted roma 125. Had it 3 years and had no problems and have the light just how i want it now

I've always loved the look of the orpheks so definitely a panel man. Although I couldn't afford the an orphek so I went for a hydra 32 hd. I'm still filling up on cirals so can't really say how much I like the look but I'm already planning on buying on orphek or2 blue plus later on.

Interesting stuff. I’m currently in new light decision making myself. I have used AI primes for a while and liked them so naturally going towards the new AI hydra 32s however with the new radion G5s they so have the panel leds rather than the puck design giving better spread. But I much prefer the AI app to the radion one, so it’s a tough call as they are very similar money as well.

WOW! Love that deep blue from evergrow. I was considering the kessil because I saw an open box for 500 bucks but maybe buying someone elses headache! If the blue is light and not a deep blue then dont want it! I am looking for a light for my 20 nuvo thats in my kitchen so I dont have much height under cabinets. I could possibly get my hubby to saw down the legs to work on the reef breeders here in america but i am so bummed I missed the black friday sale where BRS had them for 20 percent off! I tell ya I love my noopsyche on my bigger tank! I returned the radions 15 gen 5 because I like the noopsyche better espially sitting at a desk next to light and the leds glow from sitting low and looking up was killing me! The noopsyche dosnt bother me at all...great looking and great performance and 1/4 of the price of radions! Blues are deep like the reef breeders as well! They just sit up to high for my kitchen :(

I use an xr15 gen 4 over a reefer 170. I prefer the look of the Kessil over any other light from a simply design perspective. All down to personal taste but I like to see a bit more of the whites.

I had a black box style and switched to Kessil. I prefer the single light source for blending. I was able to detect noticeable spectrum changes (disco ball) with my eyes and confirmed with the Seneye. Random hotspots were also a concern. And the shimmer can't be beat.

I have black boxes and they grow everything ...do they get weaker over time...sure...can that be fixed yes...but the other stuff really is not hitting so many marks I can't justify the price tag on em....my sps do great as long as dosing stays in line ...

I have 2 Kessil AP 700's on my 120 with the 48" DX18 HYBRID DIMMABLE T5 HO LIGHT FIXTURE. I have had no issues and I think these are the best LED's that I have ever used on a reef tank. This is as close as I can get to using metal halides. But I do agree that these lights are too expensive. I will email some pics of my tanks as I don't do social media.

Hi mate I have had add ever grow pro Reef 240w lights it's for over 3 years they came with the tank and a receipt for just under £500 for them a little remote control and for built-in fans I run them 80% blue 40% white I am well happy with them on my other tank are used aqua Ray 600 for blue or white and a controller altogether came to £800 but they're not as good but that when I was a beginner and didn't know a lot lol but would recommend ever grow pro reef lights to anyone you made a good choice be lucky
