In this video, I do a walkaround of the UP GTI, say what I like & dislike about the car, and explain why I sold mine after only 6 weeks. I also reveal what car I replaced it with (Hint: it's also German).
I bought my UP GTI at a time when I also had a large 1990s SUV to cart everything around in. That turned out to be a dud and when I got rid of the SUV, I was forced to sell my UP GTI.
No hate to the UP GTI at all. Fantastic car in almost every way.

SPOILERS - WHY I SOLD MY UP GTI:
The UP GTI does NOT suck. It's a great car. It's nippy, good on fuel, cheap to run, and overall a really enjoyable car to own. Unfortunately, due to necessity, I need a bigger car to accommodate a few businesses I run outside of my 9-5.
There are no dealbreakers I found with my UP GTI but there are a few 'annoying' things about it. This includes:
- The small mirrors.
- The artificial exhaust drone at 70mph+.
- How the entire front of the car basically becomes a wall of dead flies.
- The centre AC vents are pretty much useless.
But those are just small things, the car is amazing. Again, I had to sell it to get a bigger car.
And, if you don't want to the end of the video, the car I have replaced it with is a 2018 F30 BMW 318d in Alpine White. This car is not the most exciting but it will be a workhorse for me. In addition, there are A LOT of cosmetic modifications that I am planning. Be sure to stick around.
Thanks to Jonny at Bavarian BMW in Belfast for helping with the car swap: www.bavarianbmw.co.uk
