I think a fun lore for why you still live in the starter house is because that is YOUR house that your character lives in. The other buildings belong to the other residents, but the starter house is unique because it isn't supposed to be occupied by anyone else

Love the videos Fwhip! Have you ever considered building a sewer system underneath your city? Also have you considered trying to build roots in between the buildings in the city? I’m sure a massive world tree would have big roots.

The sewer would actually a cool way to get to the end portal considering you have the gross swamp water already built in. Fits the swamp theme!

love the new cartographers' village! assuming You will keep expanding it (i mean, how could a fWhip leave a village not transformed, that would not be a fWhip) that is a perfect location for a lighthouse (which i don't believe You have in Your world yet, unless the mudbrick castle counts)
@KaelHeagy4 ай бұрын
A good place for the ruins that you were talking about could be near the tree because the roots would have grown and destroyed the original buildings there. That could go with an episode where you do build the roots. Just an idea though. Thanks for making these videos fWhip

I love your comments on making yourself go back to everything. That's something Etho has talked quite a bit about as well and something I'm trying to get better about. Even more important feeling when your dealing with a multiplayer server/realm. I tend to build most of the farms and infrastructure, and part of me wants to put it all in one place for easy access and simplicity, but i find telling my friends and family "go to the desert compound for that" or "we have that farm in Cherry Acres" to be way more rewarding

respect you a lot for choosing to reach out to and pay artists! been a lot of problems in some other communities i’m in with people using their power as an idolized creator for bad to create insular communities that would do anything for them. when creators start using fans a lot for free labor, it really starts opening up that side of fan spaces and it makes me not want to support - often if i keep supporting, there starts being toxic pressure to contribute my own labor or money or whatnot if i’m a “true fan” and to get the creators approval. i don’t want fan spaces to feel like a competition or like i have to pay to be in fan spaces. if people want the community and challenge of art competitions there’s a lot of fan led communities that’ll let you do that divorced from getting “creator recognition”! embrace what you love about the media and make friends instead of just seeking approval. i suggest tumblr as a great space for artists looking for other minecraft artists who’d be interested in such a community.

You could make a competition for the paintings, let the community chose the winner and let them get a giveaway or something like that. In my view this would not be exploiting. For the endportal an ancient civilization would be fitting, which is partically sunken in the swamp. Love your videos!

I remember watching Fixxit's Realm of Vasten series a couple years ago, and his in-world paintings really added an extra layer to the "oooh" factor. The ability to reference other builds in world definitely enforced the idea of connectivity and LORE! I think if you decided to commission some art, of course a lot of it should be this world, but it would be really awesome to have a few from your previous survival world, like a shot of your mountains with the plane coming over the top. Could be a really neat easter egg, like you've got an in world artist who's very well traveled.

@Gomo_664 ай бұрын
Maybe the reason the end portal is sunken in, lush, and able to hold back an ocean is because the end portal is putting out some sort of magic or is the origins of magic in the world. And the other major sites have had the magic spread to them is because of the dragons that have escaped this ancient ruin structure over the centuries and attacked spreading the initial seeds of magic to the area

Hey fwip! Love your content!! You have an awesome understanding of building and I find myself in the thralls of your storytelling whenever a new video comes out. I’m not sure if you’ve seen the show Arcane, it’s an incredibly stylized world which reminds me of your world in a lot of ways. In the show, there are airships which come from distant lands and transport different goods, illegal and otherwise. I’m not sure if you’ve been thinking about adding more sky builds to your world, but cargo airships or something of the like could looks pretty sweet, especially within the wonderful cacophony of Path

End Portal idea: How about end tree root broke through the thin layer between dimensions and spreads its roots and little by little terraforms or spread like disease or fungus and this place is starting to collapse and water is starting to flood from both sides. But you built something like the 3 walls from Attack on Titan, the first wall has already collapsed into the caves, the second one has started to collapse in several places and the third one is under construction. Add aditionaly to that lusch caves and costom end portal make over with sunken almost suke into end stronghold that existed their before to guard teritory and trade route that connect two Oceans and canion route that transport goods too the kingdome.

@fwip Do you think you were the direct inspiration for the hermit crafters switching their method of mega build building to a more "bite-sized portions of a larger picture" style to prevent burnout? You seemed to be the most prominent creator to implement this method and talk about it often. The Current season of Hermitcraft, after many of them experienced burn out and you had the crossover, they start build what appears to be the fwhip method of building, but in their own styles. Do you think this was inspiration or was it an intentional conversation on preserving sanity while playing the game you all love?

you should transform a village into an old, abandoned town with a huge graveyard with a giant wall that was destroyed in battle and when the enemy won the battle, they ravaged the houses and destroyed the homes and left nothing left of the houses and the survivors go far away and start a new village as the mayors of that village and they learned how to defend their people and how to attack enemy's and the new village made a fortified wall and taught the people in that village how to protect and defend from any attack and they win the battle and they grew stronger and bigger along the way hope this is not to much work for you
