@ lol what made you give up social work? I know how involved draining stressful soul destroying it can be to be unable to make the change you want but curious The funny thing is my daughter says I have undiagnosed ADD and as I watched you video of clearing the garden you reminded me so much of me it made me laugh after I got past my questioning why you kept clearing one space and making a mess with the weeds in another space only doubling your work 😁❤️ I do it all the time even when I have a container to work with 😭

@ well there is a long story to me leaving social work, but the general story is that it was an accumulation of stress, realising it wasn’t my soul purpose and constantly trying to manage my adhd symptoms (now I know it’s adhd and autism) and failing to do so, which was having a major impact on my wellbeing and mental health. There was very little support in the workplace and zero in my last workplace so I decided enough is enough, this is my life and I chose the experiences I have and I no longer chose that story for myself! As for the adhd and autism, it’s been a whirlwind and very painful yet healing journey, letting go of the person I thought I was which is very common for adult diagnosed people as we live a life thinking believing and feeling like we’re failures, don’t fit in etc etc. I’ve moved past that now and realise that I’m no different to anyone else, my needs are just different as are others to mine and that is ok, so I need to focus on what it is my brain needs to flourish and go with that. We all have different brains, different strengths and challenges and that is what makes us unique. I really do make work harder for myself though 🤣🤣🤣 that’s why doing a simple chore or activity will take me way longer than people whos brain isn’t similar to mine 😆 x
