This video is very informative. It prompted me to seek out TRT for myself. At 67, I’ve been experiencing many of the issues with low T. So I reached out to Peter MD and referenced your discount code. It saved me some money. So I’ve been on TRT for a week and already feel better. More energy, clearing brain fog, and I expect more improvements. Thank you for suggesting Peter MD.

A old school doctor told me one time that Marketing for TRT is so easy to believe ! What man don't have extra body fat ? Who's not tired ? Who can't be harder ??? Brain fog? Whos memory ain't the best ! You can really believe you need it
@TRTforLIFE
@TRTforLIFE 3 ай бұрын
Unless you experience it, you won't understand it. It's not about being "tired", it's about being exhausted and can't get out of your own way. It's not about being "harder", it's about having a noodle that won't stay hard enough to engage with a partner and when it does get hard enough it won't stay that way for long enough to matter. It's not just "brain fog" "or memory ain't the best" , it's thinking at 59 years old that you have early onset Alzheimer's. Your "old school doctor" isn't as smart as you think he is.

Daily injections help to keep your natural HPG axis going! I’m doing evening injections daily since it takes 10-12 hours for the oil base T to spike. I want to do Nasal spray in the morning at 7am since it takes an hour for that to spike to get an additional peak daily like the diurnal rhythm.

I wish it was that easy. I am 59 and about two years ago I was an avid CrossFitter. I could do the "Murph" twice in the same day. I am only 5' 3" and could deadlift 365 pounds (that's an advanced level for my age). I started with energy tanking before noon. I then couldn't be intimate with my wife for any period of time. Then at the tender age of 59 I was thinking I had early onset Alzheimer's because of the brain fog and memory problems. I was very active and then wasn't, then gained 40 pounds. I started TRT just a few weeks ago and I fell like I have woke up from a very long slumber.

Low test does not automatically lead to hair loss. Testosterone is converted to DHT by means of 5aR (enzyme) and your genes determine how sensitive your follicles are to DHT. Therefore you could say more test increases risk of hair loss.

John: Welcome the the world of TRT! I've been on test for 12 years (I'm 77). TRT changed my life in every possible way you can imagine. Keep in mind that TRT doesn't work miracles unless you work at leading a healthy lifestyle. I've had a few friends who saw my results (I'm in the gym 4-days week, eat well, and don't drink) and leapt on the bandwagon. The majority of them were in poor shape to begin with and TRT had negligible effects. Fat will melt off, but not if you eat a bag of chips a day and ice-cream is your best friend. Booze can be VERY detrimental, and in some cases can raise your BP significantly, especially if you use the gel. Shots are the way to go. Good luck in with your journey, it'll be wroth the effort.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, - Guys, I am a big fan of TRT, but Please do a lot of research on your own and learn about this stuff. The sad truth is that a lot of doctors are not super knowledgeable about testosterone. There is a lot to it. Know you numbers, know what blood tests you want done. Pay attention to other stuff (i.e. PSA, Hemoglobin, Free & Total Test, Estrogen specifically E2-estrodiol, SHBG, FSH, LH, etc). Research the different options (injections, gel/ creams, pellets). And if doing injections (my prefered method) look into the difference between different injection frequencies / types (i.e. Once a week, multiple injections per week, intramuscular injections, subcutaneous, ect). I find great results with my current plan of twice a week injections, doing it subcutaneously). I know most doctors have good intentions, but some aren't up on the lastest methodologies with this stuff. You have to take it upon yourself to know this stuff. Know your stuff and find a good doctor (Specialist, endocrinologist, urologist, etc)

I'm 40 years old. Recently saw my primary MD and had my total T level checked and it came in at 337. She said I'm completely normal, told me to exercise (although i already do), and sent me on my way. I now have an appointment with a specialist next week for a second opinion.

I'm 47 later this week and I started TRT at age 44. I did it at the recommendation and under the supervision of a local urologist that I was referred to who specifically specializes in Men's Health. I was 10 years active duty military from age 20 to age 30, with multiple combat deployments. From age 31 to present at age 47, I've been a law enforcement officer. I now specialize as an instructor at a regional training academy. I said all of that to say, high stress jobs with long hours and rotating duty schedules are endocrine system killers and can drive T levels into the basement. Prior to TRT, I tried everything we could through diet and supplements with zero changes. My T numbers that were below 100 and never budged. I've been in the gym doing strength training 5 days a week since I was in my mid to late teens but it seems that my endocrine system was wrecked when it came to T production and regulation. I started TRT and in within 6 weeks I was shocked at how much better I felt. I was waking up in the mornings and wasn't dead exhausted like I had been for years. I wasn't wiped out after a normal work day and had the energy and drive to actually do things after work with my family. My mood was drastically improved because I wasn't exhausted and fed up pretty much all the time. It might not be the answer for some people, but for some of us, it has been a huge life improvement to just be back at normal levels.

Who cares about reduced testicle size? Is there a contest I don't know about? What am I missing here? Anyway, just keep in mind the the reason those "back alley" clinics exist in the first place is because the general medical community refuses to responds to this very real and pressing male medical issue. It just like drug laws in general, the moment big brother makes a drug illegal, he create a branch that will provide it despite the law. Thing is, that underground product may not be safe, but desperate people will look to it for relief anyway, despite low quality and the consequences of the law.

In Canada, if your libido is in the toilet, you can use that to make a case to your GP. Libido is very subjective and you can make a case even if your testosterone blood levels don't quite go below range. If you can figure it out in Canada then that's a much better way to go as your labs are covered and testosterone is cheap even without insurance ~$50-$75/m CAD. Testosterone is a controlled drug in Canada so it is under the microscope more who/what/when but it is definitely done. Been getting it prescribed for several years now.

I’ve just generally felt FATIGUED mentally and physically 24/7. I could sleep 12 hours a day if I wanted to. Just never want to get out of bed. Really hoping this process helps me. I can report back in a couple months for those that are below age 40!

Three thoughts. 1. Be careful, John. Intramuscular Trt administration increases the thickness of your blood. That can be incredibly dangerous. The nasal administration does not, but you must do it 2-3 times daily vs 1x every week or two. 2. Trt is a business- buyer beware. 3. Reread #1 and think about it. Strokes and heart attacks are not good. I’m not a Dr. Just personal experience. You do you, and best of luck.

Glad that it’s working for you, but here’s my view, although I’m also definitely not a doctor! Testosterone levels vary widely throughout the day, so your recorded change over a few years from 350 to 343 isn’t a reduction, it’s virtually an identical reading given all the variables. And like you say, it’s within acceptable limits for your age group. But here’s what worries me, and why I immediately rejected this treatment for myself: Once you start TRT, your body figures that with all this foreign testosterone flooding the system, it really doesn’t need to keep producing any testosterone itself. So as I understand it, TRT locks you into a treatment for life. Not a desirable outcome from my viewpoint. Maybe the occasional blue pill is better for that steel pipe feeling?

That's interesting! The actor Frank Grillo openly talked about TRT and the benefits he's experienced not too long ago. One of the possible side effects his doctor mentioned that he did _not_ have to worry about is hair loss. And it appears that like him you also lucked out in that department. Are you going to start a fitness channel now?

Everyone who feels great right now should also get their labs. It serves as a great baseline for down the road when, no matter how dialed in you are trying with your stress, sleep, diet and exercise things aren't nearly the same. TRT takes time and there can be a lot of 'playing around' with dosages to get you working great again without messing your blood pressure and prostate and other things up. Bottom line is get a thorough hormonal blood panel done when you feel good so it makes it a lot easier to know what to shoot for later if required.

Love you channel John but please be extra careful with this type of info. The scientific evidence for TRT is mixed and inconclusive at best and the one Systematic Review that seems to exist points to the same direction. The "benefits" some people seem to have experienced are most likely due to the placebo effect that just gives them the illusion of feeling better but at what level of unnecessary risk?

Been on trt for about a year but am changing providers to Peter MD this week actually. They’re cheaper and provide more treatment options than my current provider. I've been on TRT for nearly 10 years, and it is definitely a game changer. Not only do I look and feel better than ever physically but the immediate impact was an incredible increase in mental clarity and my ability to focus. You really don't know how bad you felt until you start feeling better. Also, I go through a doctor, and my prescription and blood tests are covered through my health insurance. I have been thinking about getting tested for a while. I don't feel like I need it, I'm 47 but I keep myself in good shape. I am very active and don't struggle in any of my performance areas. However, it cannot hurt to get a view on my levels. My concern is that if you start TRT, it's something that you must remain on forever as you are replacing or adding Test on top of your body's own supply. I've heard that if you come off it, you could really struggle as your body stops producing it, making it worse in the long term if you come off. Is this correct? Anyone who knows more about this subject, I would welcome the education. Thanks.

TRT has been a game changer and life saver for me. Prior to TRT, I was physically fat and sluggish, mentally foggy and aimless, and sexually uninterested. I knew something had to change, so I researched TRT and decided to go for it (at age 57, my T-level was 239). Since that time, I have lost 35 lbs. of fat, gained 12 lbs. of muscle, have greater energy, have greater mental clarity, and heightened sexual energy. Just the best thing I've done for myself and for those I love. TRT is not for everyone, but it's worth getting tested and talking to a doctor.

I had the exact same experience. I have been on it for 7 years (56 now) and it also was life-changing for me. Mine started dropping and got to 230. I also could not lose weight to save my life. I tried intermittent fasting, HIT training, etc. and I barely moved the needle. I also had this low-level anxiety and/or stress. My GP would not prescribe it and so I found a Functional Medicine MD who did all my bloodwork and we built a plan together. Once I tried it, it felt like someone poured a bucket of cold water over my head; I started to just chill out. Since then, I have lost 20+ lbs., built muscle and leaned out. I feel great and am a huge supporter. I give myself shots 3x a week and it is easy. You must have a professional MD for sure.

One thing guys should be very aware of ii is before going on TRT replacement are prostate issues. Make sure to see a Urologist or at least get your PSA levels checked along with your testosterone level. Taking a replacement such as this can cause enlargement of the prostate and that could be problematic. Just a heads up on a very interesting topic. Thanks Great video and again very informative all around John!

Weight lifting increases lean muscle mass, which increases Testosterone. If you don't continue or never have been in the gym to build or maintain muscle mass, you will loose T. You can take a prescription oral pill that stimulates T production naturally. Its a simple blood test screen with you Primary Care Physician, a dose of levothyroxine to improve thyroid function, and you are all set. No injections.Going to the gym and creating "meat" bumps it all up too. I am 57 and all the above has me solid like a 25 year old.
