It makes adults look like they are trying to dress like their kids... it is like a skinny suit. They look dumb on most adults.

Setting goals is important but to reach a big goal you have to make smaller, promises to yourself that you keep that add up to the accomplishment of that larger goal. Meeting the daily, weekly, and monthly goals helps to give you the confidence and discipline to achieve the bigger goals.

Thanks for this video! I recently had my 70th birthday and returned from a (river) cruise that traveled from Amsterdam to Prague. I couldn't help but notice how smartly gentlemen (casual and otherwise) dress. All my fellow American travelers (including myself) stood out as pathetic. What a wake-up call! No way can I emulate my younger self and try to fit into those seemingly tight outfits. Loosely fitting clothes, like jeans are comfortable for me. There's has to be a middle ground....but what do I do????

Great video content John. I am committed to getting out more and travel this year. But if I don’t get it onto a calendar, then it does not exist. So that’s a habit that I am improving upon.

I don't have bad habits I am aware of. Life still sucks; lonely and no change in sight.

That's your bad habit right there, that train of thought .....
@ProfWho-ut5heКүн бұрын
@DiegoB0525 It's a description of a state/emotion, no habit. The thought doesn't change the state I am in.

@40OverFashion Everything. Extremely proactive. Learned game, worked with coaches, have world-class profiles on dating apps, in men groups, worked on my fitness, world-class style (getting compliments from strangers), fitness and health is top 0.1%, increasing my social circle, going to events, travel the world, approach women if I find them attractive etc... No dates. Zero. Nothing. Whenever I find a woman I like, it turns out that she is already married, so never ever anything happens. I have no idea what is left to do.

The minute you mentioned slim pants, ie, “skinny pants/jeans”, you lost me. Those are the MOST ridiculous looking pants made for men, especially older men. These men are trying to do exactly what you’re speaking against. They’re fine on young dudes , but look ridiculous on older guys. I’m a country guy anyway. Wear boot cut jeans most of the time.
@40OverFashionКүн бұрын
No, slim and skinny are completely different things. Slim essentially means not baggy and a little more tailored. Skinny is skin tight and I agree, looks ridiculous.

As a dude in his 70's I appreciate things more and tend not to take life for granted. Love all the things you speak of especially loss. I have a new love in my life after the loss of my spouse. You can live on and prosper but you have to break those bad habits!

The stretch "fabrics" used in today's shirts, jackets, suits, outerwear and trousers are the worst. Most don't have or hold a crease, after they have been worn a few times, the knees look baggy and stretched. No iron shirts and slacks are junk. If it's not 100% cotton or wool, it's not worth having. Your videos are informative and enjoyed.

White and navy shirts, are the epitome of boring (to me). If you’re in the creative world you can add some flair. Otherwise we will end up with everyone looking the same.

Ideally as one ages, better to tone down the dressing, that does not have to be dull and life less clothes, keep yourself in decent shape and walk upright... Thanks, by the way great advice.

I will always open and hold a door open for a lady regardless of the situation. Does not have to be a date, I don't even have to know her, it's manners I was brought up with. What your suggesting would go against my nature, I can see what your implying by leading the lady through the door though. If I ever get the opportunity to try it out on a date I will see if it makes a difference.

I'm past 85.... and far past giving a damn what I look like just to satisfy some stupid fashion code. I satisfy myself... jogging pants, v-neck T shirts... that's it! I don't even own a dress shirt, dress pants, sport coat or suit. Any person or place that won't accept me as I am... will just have to do without me. Won't make any difference to me.

All clothing should be “classical” types that don’t go in and out of style. Your clothing choices should also be influenced by their ability to keep your handgun concealed.
