Why I Stay: Greg Coles on Being Single, Gay, & Christian

Dr. Gregory Coles is an author, speaker, and worship leader, and he describes himself as a single, gay Christian. Greg grew up in the Philippines as the youngest son of missionaries. Whenever his youth group talked about sex and purity, Greg didn't understand why everyone seemed to struggle with lust. Then he realized that it was so easy for him because he was not attracted to girls.
Greg's experiences in evangelicalism have been less severe than others he knows, but his story is still full of trauma and heartbreak. Despite the judgment and cruelty Greg faced once people discovered his sexual orientation, he still serves in his local church and works to help others find community within its walls. His story is full of setbacks and hope and will surely bring a smile to your face.

I've been on Patheos a bunch in the past, but now the blog of someone I respect can no longer be found. I tried several others who are gone, too. Please tell me you didn't _actually_ go through a takeover in order to kick off everyone who engaged in the promised "conversation on faith" from "different perspectives" than that of the management...

"No one can serve two masters..." This makes me sad that this gentlemen is going through this but the fact that he is now in a position to speak to other churches about this is disheartening. Its as if the Holy Spirit is just not good enough to help him in this one area. Now this trap and false teashing is being laid out for all these churches that invite him in.

Very confusing to listen to. Leviticus 18:22 - The New King James Version (NKJV) 22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.

This verse is about a particular act and that act alone that can happen between two men. You have to understand how the Jews view the scriptures.
