The real simple trick is to always live below your means any way possible, and invest sanely. If someone is in the average to below average wage bracket then it is very difficult, but if you do not figure out a way to live below your means you will always be poor. I think it is valuable to listen to youtube gurus once in a while, but only with a skeptical mind. There is a lot of good advice mixed in with the garbage, try to learn which is which. My best trick though is to learn to not want to be "Rich". I have learned to value being financially secure as more important than being rich. If you can find a happy life that cost much less than you make, then I think you have one at life. The way I do that last part is that I literally ask myself, self what free and very inexpensive things do you like to do for entertainment. I do more of those fun things than fun things that cost a lot of money.
