21:10 this reminded me of something. As much as I love Yvan from DIY Detail and his infinite wisdom, when I saw their video (something like “deep cleaning wheels”) and he used only All Clean with a towel vs Nick who used Incredible Suds with a pressure washer and brushes, I was like this isn’t a fair comparison at all. I mean, Nick did a proper wash while Yvan just sprayed an APC, wiped it with a towel then put on tire dressing! I mean WTH?! I know it cleans, but it’s definitely not a “deep clean”. I love the simplicity but this was way too much 😂😅

If that is the kind of knowledge and practices they want to portray and associate their brand with, then that is them. 🤷♂️ I do not agree with almost 70% of their methods, but that is them and I am me, just jolly detailers wanting to clean a car with different objectives in mind. I wouldn't do a spray and wipe on a tire (just dont), because the alkalinity of the APC on the tire will break down the dressing that will go on top, and really, even if you tried to dry it as much as possible, if you have a bloody pressure washer, just USE THE DAM MACHINE. 🤣 Its not a "whats more efficient" rather what gets the best result if your only a hobbiest?

So many influencers producing their own products but how good are those products really? Are they OEMing the products from the same manufacturer? Is one really better than the other? I prefer buying something from a company that their buisness has been detailing products from the beginning and not some influencer with a million subscribers on KZbin. 🥴🤷🏽♂️

Realistically speaking, there is no easy way to produce your own products from scratch (Chemical Compliance, Regulations, Equipment Expenses, Labor, Hiring a Chemist, etc.) as it can be financially suicidal if your brand is new. So what a lot do is go to a blender to produce their products. Yes, that does mean a lot of them are just the same product, but personally, it does not really matter to me because that is how some of the best brands got to where they are at. They established a brand with an identity to help detailers. If the brand was soulless and only sold products with no company culture, then yeah that would be poor purchase on your end 🤦♂️ Influencer or not, I always treat everything under my same grading system and will be transparent on my experiences. ✨

We have developed all our own formulas with our own chemists. Yes it’s a long and expensive process, but one that’s important . DIY Detail launched in 2022, but the product development started in 2019.

Thanks for your review of DIY Detail. To answer your questions DIY Detail All Clean is 15/1 in the 16 oz bottle We have not changed anything in the formula of DIY Detail Incredible Suds We use regular Omaha tap water in our videos , and a Kranzle pressure washer.

It looks like they lowered the concentration of incredible suds. I remember they always said the label was wrong on the soap telling you to put way way too much product in the bucket or cannon. They said it was a label error. I wonder if it was the right label but the batch of soap was made more concentrated than it was supposed to, and they have now adjusted newer batches to match the label. Very confusing though since they always said to ignore the label…
@CardosCarDose9 ай бұрын
True, buuuuuuut, that does not excuse their social media platforms promoting how we should dilute the product to 1:30. It is a bummer because now the foaming capabilities is not that good even at something like 1:9 ratio. Oh well then 🤷♂️ I'm just surprised how flaws like these even slipped by quality control.
@jayhoughton5589 ай бұрын
@@CardosCarDoseI agree. It’s also not the value for money they were promoting.

This is the truly dissapointing part right here. Thos bottles aint cheap. I dont want to spend another 17.99 or so and for something half as effective. Its a great soap, but its not the only great soap out there. @@jayhoughton558

The formula has not changed, and yes 32/1 in the foam cannon is the correct ratio.

this and the “wash and talks” that miranda detailing does are where it’s at for me, love these types of videos. pure product reviews are boooooring, good but boring i’m right there with sal on that one. i wish you could do these more often but we get it. i don’t do mobile detailing because i’m too bougie for that 😂…but my prices have always reflected the the fact i don’t have shop rent, the extra utility bills, employees and all that, love that you gave that a short mention 👍🏽
@CardosCarDose9 ай бұрын
Glad you enjoyed the talk champ! ✨👍 Trust, its a more entertaining video when the "brand friendly" filters are off 🤣 I too love these laid back washes as I can just let my mind speak for itself while "detailing" my vehicle in the most halfassed yet decent way possible LOL The series will keep going, expect more in the future! 📝

niiiiiiice, that’s great news. wash and talks are just where it’s at, period, full stop. i’d much rather see a detailer do his/her thing, sharing thoughts and adding in a few tips and tricks on methods old and new, than a straight yay or nay on product performance. thank you for your hard work and your work to come filming and editing and detailing, it can’t be easy but we love and appreciate it ✌🏽🐿️✌🏽

on the rinseless wash subject. i’ve always done a hybrid wash. i could never do a rinseless wash on wheels, i do those regular soap, foam, proper cleansers. then rinseless wash the paintwork, and maintenance wash only, if it’s super dirty reg wash all the way. hybrid wash, always use the best of both worlds, hybrid everything. make it fun and tailor it to your needs and make the efficiency of all the products work for you.
@CardosCarDose9 ай бұрын
Finally! Someone understands! 😎 I will never understand the hardcore fans doing a rinseless in the engine and wheels, it is just so nasty and a lot of towels wasted just to get a decent clean at the cost of swirling/marring the surface. Thats just me because I love the therapeutical nature of the bubbles, smells, and visuals that go into a wash. Ill just stick with my foam cannon and keep the rinseless wash as an interior wipe down or glass cleaner ✨
@AnthonyTah9 ай бұрын
I occasionally rinsless wash the wheels with a brush, but only if i just cleaned them a week prior. Most of the time, The care and wheels still get a pre foam, and rinse, and then ill hit it with a rinseless once the abbrasives are rinsed away. @@CardosCarDose

I agree people are way too hyped on DIY detail. Almost to the point they are simping, BUT i think its a bit extreme to call them a chemical guys alternative. DIY products are pretty solid, especially the rinseless wash. I'd like to know what brands you think make quality "professional" grade products?
@CardosCarDose9 ай бұрын
When I say Chemical Guys alternative I did not mean it negatively, but what they are trying to achieve at its core, which is making detailing "fun," and I dig it to be honest as there are not many brands that can pull it off. I can not classify DIY Detail as a "pro grade" brand as most of their products seem to be a bit weak on performance. It is not bad, but in terms of performance, I think detailers operating as a business will find better products elsewhere at the same, if not, lower price point. Manufacturers that seem to reflect their "pro grade" products with their brand, in my subjective opinion, are KCX, P&S (not Double Black), Meguiars: Detailer Line, and Shine Supply, so far. Of course this list will change as I am still on the search for the best of each world (business vs hobby). That is all I have to say ;)
@AnthonyTah9 ай бұрын
I would say its more like what chemical guys should be. Maybe cg was more like this at the beginning, but they are far from it now. But I think DIY Detail is exactly what they say they are. they're target audience is people who aren't detailers but want to learn how to be one. I could comfortably guide someone new to diydetail and know they arent spraying colored water all over their car. The products are effective enough and still forgiving. As for their advertising and social media presence, just seems like an executive decision to help market their products and actually get it off the ground. especially with all the competition out there. @@CardosCarDose
@CardosCarDose9 ай бұрын
@@AnthonyTah Really valid argument there 👍Basically what I am trying to say, I remember when CG used to just focus on core essentials than having 20 variants of everything. So DIY is not even close to current CG, but what they used to stand for, if that makes sense. I only chose CG because it is the only brand that everyone understands 🤣 Honestly, DIY is a solid choice for anyone not business focused and just want to have a laid back detailing session at home, and I dig that. ✨ Constructively speaking, if you are looking for something more business focused, then there are better options out there. 🤔

would you recommend using the delta pro for mobile detailing still?
@CardosCarDose4 ай бұрын
That would be a no 👎 I made an impression video, but it was never a review video. My only complaint is that EcoFlow, at the moment, does not offer battery cell replacement after heavy usage. Basically turning your $3k investment into Ewaste once its lifespan runs short. If I had to start again, I would go with something like an Anker Battery, they are a more reputable company than EcoFlow, a chinese start up.

Have you watched the test videos others have done? You say so little evidence but others have tested the brand. and I have watched hours upon hours of videos and that’s why I use they’re rinse-less wash,all clean, and the gold standard polish 😅
@CardosCarDose9 ай бұрын
And that is the thing from watching other channels, I am not them, and they are not me. Our definitions of "testing" are different and I do not rely on "well it worked for me so therefore its the best" as a way of defining absolute research, as that just becomes someone else's subjective opinion, not a well constructed fact. This is just first impressions, not an in depth test like I do off camera. I am still messing around with the products to better understand it. If it works for you, it works for you. 🤷♂️There is nothing for me to say there.
