Cant blame them. It's just reissued weapons we've already had was told.its ok to delete and that was a lie. There's more bugs in the game than there is mosquitos in florida. And the content is just terrible

Anyone paying attention isn't really shocked. Bungie has shown they're okay giving us mediocre content, and frankly people are leaving for greener pastures.

I use to play D2 nearly everyday, but started fading away from the game a few months ago. With constant nerfs, buffs, armor resets, etc, I've realized everything I do in this game doesn't matter anymore. I have nothing to show for with a God roll that I spent hundreds of hours grinding for, since they've all been nerfed or buffed. I feel like I accomplished everything I could at this point. I'm going to start grinding for more meaningful things in real life. Goals that can help improve my quality of life.

that was me during Witch Queen, my brother. the moment witch queen dropped, my entire clan of 50+ slowly started to stop playing and moving away to different titles (unfortunately to something worse, Tarkov)

I don’t like his take on abilities. Content creators can sometimes say some shit that could potentially skew the devs perception of what the community wants. IMO abilities combined with gunplay is what makes destiny great and different from other fps. In fact I wish they’d release more abilities to create combos and movement tech to enhance the experience and the feel of being a magical god killing space savior. Make exotics that combine with exotic armor to add new synergies. Like a helmet/gun combo- I often wonder why they haven’t done this kind of stuff bc it feels blatantly obvious that we need more of what makes the game great.

I guess you prefer the new Destiny. I watch content from time to time and it doesn't even resemble the game I played. Personally, I think it has removed the skill ceiling leaving nothing rewarding for someone who wants to improve technically at a game.

@ I mean I been playing since D1 beta and yeah things change that’s an integral part of life. As long as they change for the better I’m all for it. D1 can’t hold a candle to d2 mechanic wise it feels much better as far as loot and activities that’s a diff story. I prefer the destiny that’s enjoyable and rewards your time investment and captures that initial feeling of the power fantasy that we have all come to love.

@ as for removing the skill ceiling I’m assuming you mean pvp and in that regard it’s a lost cause. PvP is fine for variety but I’m not playing d2 for the PvP experience nor have I ever. I have several day ones in raids and the newest dungeon- those challenges are only getting better imo. As far as PvP tho it’s hard to imagine these guys were responsible for halo a long time ago. But if you want halo, play halo lol 🤷🏻‍♂️

Excision is so buggy these days. Bungie needs to put the Ergo Sum catalyst as a xur quest as alternate to trying and crashing constantly from GM Excision.

I never liked the special abilities in this game. Never found them exciting or interesting especially Strand, Stasis, and Prismatic.

Every Decision Bungie makes feels like they are doing it with some kind of handbreak on. Things feel not though through and they take way to much time to react to problems, ajust to player feedback. just look at class items for example. they fill your vault insead of just making it so that you unlock the collums on it and it would make it so much better to manage in terms of space and build variety. they make so much aspects of the game more complicated then is has to be for example not being able to save artifact mods to a specific build. Destiny has so many QoL issues like that and in summary it makes you feel bungie doesnt care about aiming to be destiny the best version it could be.

Nah the abilities is what killed all enjoyment for me when this game changed genres from looter shooter to ability shooter with loot, also on your topic of balanced the dev team has no idea what they want crucible to be and because of that they just nerf based of there stupid charts

It's a FPS first and foremost, if i wanted a ability spam looter with a good story, I would play world of warcraft, not destiny.

As a warlock I love abilities. But I've gotten to the point where everyone seems to grind WEAPONS, while knowing that 90% of the gunplay ends up being abilities. When the game is all about getting loot, getting guns, why is it so heavily focused on abilities then? no matter which side you take on whether you like guns or like abilities, Destiny does not seem to encourage either of them.

I agree with Jez about abilities in PvP and PvE. I mean for PvE there need ability spam to have fun, but in PvP there must be gun play over ability now when you 6v6 you see only abilities.

I think I've almost reached the point with Destiny where I feel like my time isnt being respected. Whether it's with the events, like Dawning, or even just the episodes. If we were to take the " content" added with episodes, it just doesnt feel substantial. I guess we have access to it beyond the episode it's part of but what's the point of playing them when they dont offer much beyond random rolls. It's starting to feel like other MMOs would be more worth my time. Maybe FF14

I think Bungie has trouble finding the perfect balance for each weapon type or for each weapon in general and for each exotic armor or for each ability or super, because they simply have no clue. That's why I think Bungie should invite certain content creators to find out what the perfect balance is for each weapon and armor or abilitys, in pve and pvp so that none of it is op asf but still strong but not useless.

I’ve got almost every exotic. Multiple builds on every class. Tons of weapons crafted. Hundreds of flawless in trials. Pretty much every god roll of every adept weapon. However all the bugs and cheaters recently, and bungie lack of action and care, probably time to take a break, for a while. I just started playing Warframe last night

Revert PvP to final trials weekend of into the light and PvP is saved. You can micro manage abilities afterwards. Pve it's just a matter of lack of content cause guns and abilities feel okay.. it's just that concerration is too strong but it's the only build titans have.

He’s right though. I played the game for the same reason, was the only game where I could grind pve or pvp activities and use stuff from there against other real players in the pvp sandbox, that was mind blowing to me. Letting the pve die tho like they did I got loads of other games now that give me the same pve experience so I just found other fps games for pvp and mm/ looters for pve. They gave up on what made destiny unique.

Those couple months before final shape was really awesome. I loved onslaught and all the great weapons plus shinies. I played countless onslaught and always got crap shiny drops except 1 solid edge transit and 1 god roll hung jury. I wish shinies would come back it needs to be a staple in most seasons where for at least a certain amount of time there is a chance for shiny weapons. That would make me want to play more and I feel like they just keep recycling over and over and even during dawning I have had no motivation to grind for anything. None of the weapons stand out at all

Honestly into the light was really good. But for me knowing tfs was imminent was what made me enjoy it so much more. Knowing there was something to grind for. Now it’s will the summer expansion even be worth grinding for.

Don't forget pvp was at it's all time PEAK considering balance weapon whise. We only needed ability nerfs and the game was actually perfect pvp. But they gave everyone infinite special again and prismatic was by default gonna be horrid in PvP and everyone knew.

I haven't played the game since D2 came out, I will watch content from time to time. It's not even the same game, it looks like players are basically impossible to kill as long as they avoid the one-shots. You used to need cover, now it looks like you just pop an ability and stand there and trade shots.

This time it’s different that’s why a lot of people are quitting everyone knew things were gonna fall off after FS you would expect Bungie to have made some banger content to retain the player base but no we got episodes. I don’t know about you guys but I find it to be 5 times worse than the seasonal model. We didn’t even get the exotic mission until the 3rd act on both episodes so far and mind you I haven’t even played act 2 I have no reason to until act 3 is out. Lackluster content is why this is happening and the amount of bugs is ridiculous why does it take weeks if not months to fix glitches it’s very frustrating as a player specially when things that benefit the player instantly patched but when a bug like the ignition glitch or tether glitch come out and don’t get fixed for weeks that frustrates people. Bungie has fallen off I thought Sony was gonna be savior apparently they are way beyond saving and sad as it seems Destiny is gonna die if we continue to go this way.
