I want to scream when anyone says that. I hate it. Edit: Really good video.

If you want to scream well I can't do anything. It is what it is.

I'm really picky about sayings and cant stand many overused ones but "it is what it is" has never bothered me. It serves its purpose well in all the contexts I've heard it. When someone says "thats the way the cookie crumbles" in a context where it is actually not always the way the cookie crumbles - THAT annoys me.

Yo bro, i really appreciate the honesty. This is what we need, real genuine emotions without judgement.

Randomly got this video recommended to me and I'm glad it did. I struggle with being vulnerable with others and sometimes myself, but hearing and seeing you be so open comforted me and inspired me to be more honest with myself. thank you for this video and I hope you have a great day 🫂

i love you so much tim:( all my hugs. i couldn't be more proud of you. i hope you know none of the things you went through were your fault, things you deserved, or things you could've changed. the people in your life have failed you, even if only because others have failed them. it was always a them problem, never a you problem. i hope things continue to get better in time & you find yourself ashore soon. until then, just know we're all swimming with you, so you're never alone

There are many things in life that we have no control over. That’s “it is what it is.” But focus on the things you can control. Always have hope and faith. Even when it feels like the world hates you, there’s always someone that loves and appreciates you. You are worth it. Find a hobby or something that makes you happy, make friends through things that you enjoy.

i watch your videos near daily, and realized how much in this video we have in common. ive struggled with addiction since i was 14, whether it was marijuana, nicotine, or cornography. you arent alone brother, i still suffer in silence daily. but keep my head up daily because i know theres others like use who are struggling just as much if not more. im currently trying to quit nicotine and i havent been watching corn as much as i have in the past few years. we are ALL a work in progress and im proud of you for not only being able to share the information that you do, but to keep getting better everyday regardless of the circumstances. thank your for uploading as much as u do, and being as real as possible. you aren't alone brother.

this is some real stuff. I could identify with 90% of what you said, and I struggle with a lot of the exact same things. What helped me a lot was to realize that basically everybody is fighting these fights. Everybody is struggling. We live in strange times that we (as humans) are not made for and it's hard to cope with. Think about people without any kind of faith, trying to justify, explain, rationalize their existence in this crazy world. It's impossible. And it will make you nihilistic and depressed. Realizing that made me more empathetic and compassionate towards people. Because I see myself in everybody I meet. I see them bearing the same crosses and I know that I am not alone in this dark valley. And that makes me want to help them, because I know how tough it is down here.

You get a like before I even watched your video because "It is what it is" is the non sequitur of this generation. A fundamentally illogical expression.

"it is what it is" has got to be one of the most dogmatic and egocentric statements I've ever heard, it drives me crazy. "It is what it is" What are you? Omniscient? I can look myself in the mirror my whole life and always not know exactly who is looking back, but some people go around looking at the world saying "it is what it is"
