I just feel good when I'm learning a language. Sometimes it's also discovery, but mostly just a good feeling.

Just for a change, might I offer you a little inspiration? A friend of mine decided he wanted to visit Japan so he took a fairly intensive course in Japanese just for a year. He's not a polyglot but has some experience of language learning. So armed with his basic knowledge of the language, he went to Japan for about three weeks. He travelled around quite a bit but based himself in Tokyo where he often visited the same bar. Because he could speak a little Japanese, he made a lot of friends who brought their friends to meet him and he had a wonderful time. On his final night there, they threw a massive party for him. I'm not sure that he remembers too much about that though!🤣 So perhaps a 13 hour flight might just be worth it.

Hey Luca, I really liked this video. I've been learning Russian for about 4 months, and a thing that I do to keep me motivated is put a theme I want to watch when I become fluent in Russina in the google translator, then I copy and paste it on youtube. I try to find videos that I like and subscribe to the channel. It makes me motivated because I can see those videos and think, "I have to keep studying the language in order to enjoy those videos in the future." Having material to enjoy when I reach fluency in Russian makes me motivated to keep up my learning.

As to me, I feel always the same like you did, I have got a passion too for learning something new and it is like inhaling a new fresh air and especially whenever I start learning new language and gradually get better in it. I am eternally grateful for helping me in the end to specify and find out why I keep learning the languages. Always was I encountered with "start with why", but never had I thought this through, and only after watching this video about your failures and successes I gained a clear understanding what is my 'why'. Thank you again for inspiring everyone to transcend their limits and rediscover new capabilities we have never thought of. May the success, luck and happiness accompany you at all stages of your life. Take care! P.S. Thanks for the book either, it clarifies and responds to all of my questions arosed.

About the reason why I learn languages, I was wondering if simply enjoying the process is a good reason ? Also thanks Luca you're such an inspiration !

As a New Zealander who has been learning Spanish for 6 months, it was good to see this video. I've been putting in work everyday, however I've felt that my learning was becoming more of an academic exercise rather than a personal one. It's time for me to review my 'why' again. Ngā mihi ki a koe Luca!
