I started trying to trade futures and was getting frustrated. Watched your video and realized what I was doing wrong. I was buying the Future option and not the Future. Also, you pointed out my difficulty with options, the stops and taking profits. Much easier to control with futures. Thank you. Did a quick live trade with a very conservative limit. Made $200 in 5 minutes with a small account. Wow!!!

Yes! I misspoke in the video and said "futures have no options", when I meant that futures "contracts" aren't the same as options contracts. Trading futures contracts is much easier in my opinion.

There are options on futures. You can buy or sell the actual futures contracts or buy and sell options on futures. So you can sell and buy credit spreads, etc. There are deltas and the Greeks apply as well! I did a video showing the difference between options and futures but I guess I need to do one on options on futures which are a better way to trade them for most people since they use much less capital and the contracts are so large.

Very Good content. Here is a couple Technical updates I'd suggest from a good hearted friend... 1. Your audio is being played on left side only. While recording, regardless of whichever software you use, there should be a way to set audio as stereo instead of mono (I checked multiple headphones and other videos. ) 2. Please add the navigation with section title for videos longer than 15 minutes. This will make the watching experience much more pleasant. Keep on rocking my friend.

It would be, but it pretty damn difficult to trade still, I'd say NQ is harder than damn near anything because it's so volatile. Normal day average true range on NQ is usually over 300 points, to put that in perspective, the hottest moving stocks these days move like 10-20 points in a trading day....TSLA these days for instance post split has been having like 11 ATR...NQ Is usually over 300, I don't even like trading NQ, ES is fine...ATR like 70ish. And the way the margin requirements are structured, you can easily over leverage yourself if you don't know what you're doing. Just because the broker allows you to buy 5 contracts of ES doesn't mean you should. Just like in forex, you can get margin called pretty easily, and these brokers will liquidate. If anything, it's a lot like Forex, but yeah as you said...better. Idk why niggas in this country still trading forex. That nigga Doyle I'm like dude...why tf you still hassling with them scam ass brokers and crypto brokers trying to get the best spreads for Forex? American government fvcked us over when it comes to forex, the 3 regulated brokers are trash and if you go with them you can only trade pairs. We can trade gold and all that sht let alone ES and NQ through futures, plus you can trade currencies through futures...niggas need to stop talking about Forex...I stopped trading forex like 4 years ago, there is literally no reason for us in America to bother with forex. Doyle making videos about what broker he switched to, all the bs hoops he gotta jump through to get his money off of some crypto broker....JUST SWITCH TO FUTURES DOYLE DAMN. Don't get me wrot I fvck with Doyle heavy but he need to just switch to futures. I am glad I am finally trying to make the switch to FX or Futures, I think the reason why I am so unprofitable is because I do options. With all the factors like you said my PA can be spot on but the contract itself it just getting mangled by the Greeks and IV and sharp moves, I believe that if i switch to futures or FX i could see more returns consistently with being about to have actual risk management (SL and TP levels are the actual price instead of options having to guess the price on what the contract will be at these times.)

Imo if you only trading options like stocks you're doing it wrong. Those Greeks can be used to your advantage and that's the real power of options. With options you can make 2, 3, 400% from a stock trading sideways. That's why you have to find your style of trading and that's what I love about the market.. So many ways to trade for almost any type of trader

@@gohardorgohome2938 he's talking about selling options...ie "theta strategies"... doing different spread strategies etc, even just simply selling covered calls and cash secured puts are consider theta strategies where instead of buying the premium price on the strike, you sell and you receive the premium...you most likely aren't gonna get that big of gains on covered calls and cash secured puts, but you can certainly do numbers like that doing spread strategies, but they are more dangerous...and are much more technical way of selling and require you to have a margin account. I don't know a lot about those more technical spread strategies because I've never done it...but I've done covered calls and cash secured puts...I personally didn't like it, but he's right...there is a lot of ways to trade in these markets.

Wish I saw this sooner ! I feel like u were me in this video. I did the math and figured out if instead of all the entries and exits on options / and each contract if I bought the real 100 shares of stock / would have needed 150-300k to make those trades in real shares if for every contract I bought the 100 shares instead of 1 contract (or 500 shares instead of the 5 contracts) in 6months I would have made over 600k with exact same entries and exits and same exact size in shares / but instead made like 1600$ instead cause I don’t have hundreds of thousands in the bank .. hurts my soul. But found out bout how they added the micro contracts like 2 days ago lol . But better late than never ! But still loved this video cause know I’m not the only one who went through that bs

hi great video. I was wondering if any one could assist with this question. Lets assume that I want to long XXX commodity and I am interested in the March 2024 contract. Todays price of XXX commodity is $85 (11-08-23). The Future contract for March 2024 is $60. However, I believe that the price of XXX commodity will raise to $100 by March 2024.If I want to long XXX Commodity and take out the March 2024 Contract, do I OPTION 1: long XXX Commodity, toady-(11-08-23), at $60 (this is the Future price in March 2024) and sell at $100 at the expiration date, or OPTION 2: long at todays' price @ $85 and sell at $100 at the expiration date. Based on the two options 1 or 2, once the expiration date comes in March 2024, will I make a profit of $40/XXX Commodity (OPTION 1) or $15/XXX Commodity. Please advise. Thanks

Are you trading futures during NYSE time? I've traded options for a little over a year and couldn't agree with you more in regards to options vs futures. But because it's damn near open all the time, I was curious when you trade. Thanks for this video!

Trading during the New York session, (that's the term in futures it's called for NYSE open) that's when it's most volatile, the other sessions aren't as volatile but you can still trade during those sessions if you want or if that's the only time you have to trade, which is also why futures are great. Those other sessions things can move slower.. like the Asian session. Take a look at the chart for the different sessions and you'll notice volume spikes heavy for New York open every trading day. Also know that futures market opens on Sunday for us in the afternoon or depending on your time zone.

Forex have no level 2 data. It's less transparent.
