had to switch from lunar to blc too. i used to be a badlion player either way. for me the problem was mostly the fact that the game crashed every half hour and that the skyblock mods werent good at all. a friend of mine could also not use lunars with insane frame drops and graphic glitches that made him unable to play. we are both badlion players now, just like before lunar got popular.

i think in general lunar is trying to move towards the 1.9+ comm as well, because lunar has been making modpacks for servers like mcci and hoplite

Same for me id litteraly make fun of those who used badlion back in the day i tried it one time i was skyrocketing 1k fps from the 150 i was getting on lunar i was truly amazed

thats why I should research on things before using it. I was using lunar for past 3 days and was getting around 45 fps on mineberry (i'm in asia so hypixel is not an option). I was regretting buying minecraft and thought it wasn't working well with my pc. But thanks to your video I tried launching my game with optifine and got around 120 fps. Definetly gonna try badlion now. Goodbye lunar!

@NoHiroYDazai definetly, it is way better, but tbh if u have a good enough computer and don't mind getting only around 100 fps, go for lunar. It has way more mods and better visuals.

@@RandomGuyOnDaFreakingNet I don't really care about which one is better, I'll go with any of these, the thing which matters is it safe or not, I heard kaspersky tells that Lunar is a trojan and someone got files blocked because of it, and sometimes people also say that badlion is also a virus, so I still can't be sure with anything even after 3 days of active research.

As someone who has used Lunar and Badlion on and off for years, they aren’t Trojans or viruses or anything. As long as you download them from their original website and nowhere else, you’ll be fine.

​Lunar isn't as intrusive tho, the only place where ads are shown is on the launcher. Badlion has cosmetic ads on the launcher, and sometimes when you launch it (when new cosmetics drop), and there are premium ads in the mod menu and the esc menu. But to be fair, Badlion only shows ads about itself, Lunar shows third-party ads. (im too lazy to switch to badlion xd)

I also used to be obsessed with lunar and badlion cosmetics dont look that good honestly but fps is unstable, my game freezes which lost me over 50 bedwars games, and also the fps goes super low at the wrong time. Badlion was so much better, my game never froze, my fps is 450, and I win more games.😊

The main problem i have with lunar is not the fps drop, instead i have problem with the hit reg, like sometimes my hits just cancel and i do not like the motion blur too

Clients have just become too bloated in my opinion. Forge suits my needs. Not saying you should discard clients and switch to forge, but that's just me. Lunar definitely needs to take a step back from the cosmetics, though.

I doubt Lunar would’ve been the cause for that. It may not be the best for FOPS, but that doesn’t mean it’d brick your PC. Probably just a faulty part.

also, Lunar uses a program named "zula platform 64x architecture" and it consumes like 5000 of ram, i play fps and the ram that it consumes are a bunch less

Frames don't matter that much, if you get 600 fps it only ever is visible to whatever refresh rate your monitor uses. If you have a 120hz monitor, anything above 120fps will look the same as 120fps

If you use motion blur, use shaders, etc, having a higher base frame rate is a lot better Like for example, Motion blur on badlion with 600 fps looks vastly different compared to 60 fps

fps for clients also come down to other things i get 3x the fps with lunar ... also remember the good old times where people could xray / esp each other with badlion

Lunar client mostly uses GPU which is inside the CPU (Intel UHD Graphic for example), while badlion uses the GPU you have on your PC which gives you more FPS

rtx 4060 laptop user here, lunar uses up to 80% of my gpu giving me 90 fps stable (max settings + shaders), while badlion uses only 40% of my gpu giving me 50 fps stable (max settings + shaders). stop the badlion propaganda smh

apparently with shaders it works differently, since Lunar is CPU heavy and Badlion is GPU heavy. So my assumption would be that Lunar is better with shaders, Badlion is better without?

again, its all dependent on hardware also, you might wanna try messing with some of the badlion performance settings. on certain devices, ive seen the settings help AND hurt people

Yo, i had the exact same problem as you, i was getting 90 fps using sodium 1.21 with shaders, and 8 fps on lunar. It turned out lunar uses a lot of high settings that you dont need on default, and after changing all of them, i managed to get 1100 fps INSIDE of bedwars on 1.8.9, while my fps record on SODIUM was 800 fps in singleplayer 1.21

I’ve spent ages optimizing Lunar, and I’m pretty sure I’ve got it as good as it’s gonna get. If you mean the settings in the “performance” tab on Lunar, most of those also sacrifice visual quality, so I don’t have them on. I also have their Badlion equivalents turned off as well.

A. Lunar Client does that too. In other scenarios it'll show higher FPS like Badlion B. I have a 270hz monitor, so if Lunar was using that somehow, i'd have 270 fps.

If by hitting 1k FPS you mean at 1:20, that’s cause I was zoomed in, and I wasn’t rendering much. During any sort of normal gameplay, Lunar is lower than Badlion by ~200-450 FPS

That's from when I was zoomed in, meaning the entities around me weren't loaded on screen. When I zoomed back out, it went down, which is the moment of FPS i was comparing for everything.
