Can't go wrong with any of these alkylated synthetic fuels. VP, Aspen etc. They're all great. I do like unmixed ones so I can use my choice of oil, which after a long time of usage and trial and error, I stopped at Motul 800 off-road mixed 32:1

I've used it for years without issue so far. Great video. 👍

Adding any oil to the fuel reduces its octane rating. Oil has a very low octane rating and can actually be burnt in a diesel engine. Also, ethanol has a higher octane rating than pump gas so ethanol in the fuel would only raise octane not reduce it. Husqvarna premix fuels are good quality but you need to add more oil as it is designed for low emissions so more of it burns off than the VP. Best oils to use by far are premix only oils for motor t les like Motul 800, Klotz R50, Bel-Ray H1-R. They are the best by a long shot

@@kennytheguitarfanatic054 Thanks! I just tested VP and it did really well. I bought some motorcycle 2T oil yesterday and plan on running some over the next few weeks.

Great video I’ve been using vp oil for years now and i love it but i might look into buying pre mixed stuff

VP is great, I’ve always used that in my dirt bikes and chainsaws. Amsoil is just as good

The other thang that helps and works is good gas . I cut would 8000-10000 feet so run 92 octane because of less oxygen at higher elevation good gas and good oil is the key

Interesting 🤔… I’ve used motomix in my Hotwoods ported saws, 100’s of hours and the motor looks brands new inside , compression is HIGHER than new and carbon almost non-existent ! It’s expensive to use the canned fuel but with a $2000 chainsaw build I’m not taking the chance ! I’ve also used VP and it seems to give similar results - interesting to see the Husqvarna canned fuel test 😮

I like motomix I only use that in my stihl 4 mix trimmers. I put 8 gallons though it in it's life and there in no carbon.

@@kennytheguitarfanatic054 there’s a comparison of various mix oils using a br500 where the ran the units continuously for 500 hours straight. The unit using motomix looked BRAND NEW inside and actually GAINED 10psi of compression! That’s all I needed to see - expensive but my machines make me good $ so it’s well worth the added expense imho

The compression is higher than new because of carbon build up on top of the piston shrinking the combustion chamber, stihl ultra is bad!

adding fuel component to fuels can increase or decrease octane of fuel and can require advance or retard of spark ignition and to get best running of higher or lower octane fuels the need to increase or reduce compression ratios .Old fashioned fuels from 1920 era for model T was more or less mostly Colman's camping gas fuel low about 70 ron suitable for low compression engine 5 to 1 ratio and burns super hot . The ame Model T cars could run on 100 % ethanol with a RON closer to 105 with advancing the spark and increasing fuel flow by 30% and engine burn very cold from extra fuel flow . Ethanol fuel is carbon and hydrogen and includes oxygen inside fuel so can burn with less need from oxygen from air to enter engine and is needing 7 to 8 parts air to burn for one part ethanol fuel stoic ratio about 8 to 1. The Petroleum fuels a re only carbon and Hydrogen and need burn ratios of exceeding around 13 to 1 fuel to oxygen ratio or stoic ratio often today 14 to 1 ratio Adding oil for lubrication or other agents like Toluene with a RON exceeding 100 increases octane and can run at higher compression ratios . Not increasing compression or advancing spark or adjusting carburetor fuel flow with a higher octane fuel will normally have no increased power or usefull gain to engine but probably no big ill effects other than increase carbon inside engine and require more oil changes for 4 stroke engines and decrease engine fuel burn temperatures . Increasing the octane and compression ratio advancing the the ignition and adjusting the fuel flow can result in more power better fuel burn and higher temperature exhaust but if there is no suitable modern ingredients like detergents to clean engine will probably create extra carbon content in engine from unburnt fuel and require attention to not create ping issues . Aspen fuels are neither Ethanol types but are sort of like Petroleum fuel without to contain petroleum fuel issues often made from heating up wood and tapping of those natural fuel liquids This makes a fuel that has not got so many complex petroleum components and results in super clean burn and less carbonon issues but works better in lower compression and cooler burn rates and can lower power compared to petroleum fuels and costs double to 4 times the costs than petroleum.. Adding 2% oil will make it a two stroke fuel .Storage times are excellent with multi year storage possible .Modern gasoline has developed from the history fuel like Colmans into four components making it resemble som thing like a mix of colmans added to some paraffin fuels RON 50 with toluene RON 105 and ethanol RON 105 and complex detergents and other complex ingredients to keep the components of fuel together for a life of about 3 months .old fuel often will create havok. The 1979 era fuels were less complex and had life times exceeding several years but had lead components in the fuels which protected 4 stroke engines valves systems and allowed compression ratios of 12 to 1 compared to lower rates today of 10 to 1 . Pre heating water over hot exhaust and injecting that into hot engines increases fuel octane and can supply extra power and cool engines down often used for take off of heavy WW2 Bomber aircrafts to get airborne or on cars to get better MPG or more power . Increasing Octane without increasing compression ratios or other components often has no major benefits. Hope that helps

Agree. I don't run anything leaner than 32:1, no matter what snake oil story the producer has. The moment I started doing this, my premature wear problems disappeared.

Motul 800 offroad never disappoints also. Proven by milling with it for over 1000 hours so far and the piston still looks like new.
