Why I Updated my World to Version 1.2

I made a Minecraft superflat world in version 1.1, with the goal to collect everything that goes extinct in superflat. With each update some things are added to the world, and some things are removed.
Previously I made a base, got an enchanting table and made a villager farm. Originally, this farm didn’t work because, in version 1.1, villagers couldn’t breed.
But now, in version 1.2… they can!
This is huge for me!!

Why petrified oak slabs exist: In older versions, slabs of different materials were all categorized as subtypes of the main "slab" item, which was stone. Oak was the only slab type that wasn't some kind of stone, and it still followed the same properties as the stone slab base item. Eventually Mojang implemented the ability for different variants to have different block properties; when they did they created a new oak slab item, and for compatibility reasons simply renamed the old wood slab.

hey idk if anyone has commented this about glass, i play superflat 1.12.2 alot and i know that when you get a library villager up to level 3, he can sell you 4-5 glass for 1 emerald. hope this helps out!!!, its really cool to see someone playing the older versions of superflat.

petrified oak slab was added when they changed the slab type into it's own category. They did this because they were used so much changing it meant removing the old oak slab deleting players entire builds and some cases entire world saves. So they opted to rename it rather than delete it. And that's how we got it. Now we just need a legit way to get it in modern versions of Minecraft. Also the upside-down stairs were added in 1.2.1.

Who says you need to wait for hoppers? You just have to remember to pick up items semi regularly from your farms. I recommend watching the original Iron Golem farm design tutorial shown by Docm77. No hoppers required, it pre-damages all the iron golems for you and stores them conveniently in a kill chamber activated by a button or pressure plate. It was the gold standard of iron farms for years and years. Also you can buy glass from villagers when you get to versions with trading.
