Why I use 2 cameras for my Youtube Studio

Hello Marcus. Thanks for your great content, I enjoy and learn a lot while watching. Could you tell us more about your teleprompter and how you use it in your principal camera? Even though I paused the video to figure out what it was, I couldn't. Sorry for the silly question, I am a novate in this field and aim to learn from experts like you.

As you invited me to watch this video ... I just did... I agree with everything you said BUT ONE THING. I also use multi-camera , specially while producing video podcast (8 cameras controlled by the BlackMagic ATEM. I Understood your speakers pushed the camera too far... but... that makes the video feels wrong, uncomfortable to the audience. I believe that's where most of the comments (or complains) about it comes from... I hope you find a way to place the camera in a smaller angle... that's all it takes for your videos to get visually better. But of course, we fall on your reason number one: it's your video, you do it however you want it. :) Best wishes. You're a great guy.

Hello Marcus. I recently found your channel and love your informative talking heads. I have a question though. I have an a7iv and want to make my own talking head videos. Is there anyway to record video directly to my computer, bypassing my cameras sd card without using the lower quality streaming function? Just so i can skip the step of transferring the files. Also can this be done with external audio (i have an sm7b and scarlett solo) at the same time?

While I, at times, agree, I like doing it this way and I like talking about it. In addition, in 20 years of doing live-event production for a living, where you only get ONE chance to record or stream those events........the people/technicians that decided to "keep it simple," (like maybe not using 2 cameras or not having backup audio)......have failed those events, or the recordings were messed up and the client's event recording/content was ruined. So this information applies to real-life work, and it applies to videography, interview recording, pre-recording for live-streams.....I've done it countless times in my work too.....recording someone who is not a seasoned presenter, we just record them with 2 cameras because they mess up a LOT, and they need a single, edited, yet "i did this in one take" result from that recording. So anyone looking to do that can hopefully find some useful information in this video. Happy Recording :)

Hi there Shane, I have one more legit question for you, and I'm honestly asking for feedback here: When you say "keep it simple," are you referring to: 1. My setup, the way I record, multiple cameras and WHY I don't look at them......or..... 2. Are you referring to HOW I EXPLAIN my setup and reasons in this video? I know I can ramble, and sometimes I can either take too long to get to the point, or maybe I give too many examples, but I am curious, what exactly are you referring to? Much appreciated.
