I’m thinking of getting the kuiu bag seeing your videos I like the idea of strapping your stand to the pack and having your gear in your pack. For day sits and short wake would you recommend the venture 2300? Thanks!

The ventures 2300 is awesome. Best deer hunting pack ever made in my opinion

@@SamkoTradBow Jason what's your thoughts on the 3600? Considering it with the frame. That way I can hopefully get by with one bag for everything. (Save a little money instead of buying two bags) a 2300, and a larger for an elk pack.

@@joec1212 never tried the 3600 bag. Can't help much there. But I bet it works great as you can compress it down easily with the straps. So it doesn't get bigger than you need it to.

How well does the venture carry the meat? I assume you bone it out and have it all in a game bag or two. I have the pack and I love everything about it...except he zippers make me real nervous. It’s that trade off of “lightweight materials vs rugged durability”. I’d love to know if it could handle meat before I try it in that situation. Love the channel!!

I dont use the venture to pack out meat. On those trips I bring the exo or mystery. But the kuiu zippers are very strong and even on my icon pro 1850 I have really beat up the zippers are still perfect. I believe the venture is designed to carry loads up to 150 pounds. I think I read that on kuius site. Also as for durability of material all 3 packs the exo, kuiu, and mystery are all the same exact 500d courdura material. I would have zero concerns about packing out a deer in my venture. And yest I put the meat in game bags and also then into a garbage bag just for the pack out and as soon as I get to the truck i take the game bag out of the garbage bag. I just use the garbage bag for the walk out to keep the blood off my pack.

I got pretty much the same thing going on, for longer walks in I use an alps outdoor commander ... 80 % of the time I'm using an XOP striker ,for pig hunts , scouting, and spot and stalk I carry a haversack

Thank you for your thorough reviews to help us make great purchases. A couple questions about the Venture 2300 - I have heard this pack is noisy. Did you find it to be noisy in the woods? Also, I am a saddle hunter. How does it hang in the tree? Is it bulky with the waist belt in the tree? Thank you!

I do not think its noisy. Its made out of the same 500d Cordura that most quality packs are made out of. The hip belt on the venture is pretty flexible and easy to use in the tree. The icon pro series hip belt is stiff and can be a pain in the tree. But the venture is perfect in my opinion. And still very functional as a hip belt.

I have a question about your pack/kit set up and vent flow. It occurred to me that the open spaces might be a good place to suspend the thermacell? Where do you position yours?

I know all about novix. just did a podcast all about them 2 weeks ago after talking iwth the owners on the phone for an hour. Not sure what novix has to do with the packs. But yes, they are a company owned by lone wolf hunting products and going to be coming out with some great products next year.

@@OklahomaLoneWolf Got it! yeah I wondered if you ment thier stands will carry different on a pack or something like that so wanted to find out. Novix is going to be a fantastic company and going to bring some amazing products to market next year. The virus set them back this year as it has to all companies. But next year is going to be huge for them. Im very excited. If you listen to my podcast it covers alot about them and is a good listen! if the stand you bought is a novix it will mount on any of these packs exactly the same as how a lone wolf stand would.
