The focus breathing on the pocket 3 is very obvious. Agree with your main point of the video. Most of the advantages of larger sensors can only be fully utilised with larger lenses. And there are cases where the advantages of larger formats are either not needed (eg. Landscape, video, street, journalism) or actually become disadvantageous (eg. Macro). About filming on phones, with recent phones, the quality is pretty good, atleast in the main camera but what you don't get is the flexibility of interchangeable lenses, optical zoom, filters and most of all, the shooting experience like monitoring exposure, audio etc.

Thanks for the video. I changed to MFT because I’ve injured my back. For me the biggest advantage has been the light weight of my lenses. I have four: 14-140mm (28-280 equiv), 100 -300 (200-600), a lovely 1.4 25mm (50) and a 45 (90) portrait lens. I can all with me. I can use the 100-300 all day. With the 1.4 25mm, I can use my gimbal for four hours without too much pain. The depth of field is manageable, and the poor light performance is unnoticeable with my two primes. Lenses are cheaper as well. My G9 is great for images, and the video is superb. The 80meg option is good enough for any size of print. I’ve had A1 and the detail’s faultless. The in-camera firmware is as good as any. Can’t see a downside.

I just picked up this camera last week. Very happy with it so far. FYI: Your 9mm lens Amazon link is a duplicate of your camera body link.

What DOF field control? MFT? MFT used to have some advantage in side, but they getting bigger and bigger and even more more expensive, only thing that remain unchange is the sensor size and image quality,

Perhaps you can try a lumix G100 as your secondary camera, it’s so tiny and light compared to to GH5. It has log for video and fits all your existing lenses. Also less scary to interviewees, Cheers!

FF blurry backgrounds are so very rated. I've had a GH5 now GH6. Suspect I'll want a GH7, but for the moment have found the older GX cams and I'm obsessed. M43 is a great system.

I would only consider full frame if it was literally my job. But as a hobbyist there’s just no reason, M43 is enough for any hobbyist/amateur photographer/videographer you can spend like double or triple the money on gear that will have slightly better quality for peace of mind, though honestly that little bit of extra quality won’t even be visible on any type of mobile device.

The depth of field can vary so much from micro four thirds to full frame. I use the DOF in my photography so opt for full frame with a wide open F stop. But I do landscape photography and dont mind lugging heavy kit with me. Great video 2x👍

Love my Lumix G85 and don't plan to change to any other camera system.

In an effort to slim my equipment even more, I've almost retired all of my m4/3 lenses and just stuck with my Leica D Lux 7 (LX100 mk ii). Same logic, I just hate carrying more and more equipment and swapping lenses is starting to become a hassle. 24-75 with f 1.7-2.8 is just ridiculously versatile. It's just a shame there aren't anymore fixed lens m4/3 cameras out there

i have canon r6ii and canon r10, and i prefer the r10 more. the camera is small and easier to take anywhere with smaller apsc lenses. but your gh5 is quiet big and heavy. i equally value size and weight. nowadays full frame are getting lighter. like the canon r8 with the rf 16mm is a good combo! add a small prime like 50mm or 35mm and youre good!

Yeah I'm hoping for a lighter camera body soon

A larger format sensor holds more money per square micron. A 35mm mirror was perfect for 35mm film.

YT is full of tight wads that say their lack of purchase decisions is best. Best for them to only have been exposed to cheap stuff. The other half of YT review stuff they dont have or havent paid for.

@@colintraveller why are you even watching the video if you were already put off by the title? Surely there's other stuff you could have done with your time? I, for one, am interested in why people use what they use as well as the results they get.
