I do it, especially when playing unarmed. When you did it to the Bodvar it was the quickest way to hit him mid recovery. A down slam would have been too obvious. I often do it because it confuses them and while they are like “wtf” I am sliding away from them so they feel safer to recover, but the hit box reaches far enough. I am ashamed that I do it when I see them recovering and I panic to hit them quickly (basic ground pound is for losers). I think maybe the haymaker might be faster. (Plus it’s a flex.) Edit: probably more of a read than a good option lol.

@@be7256 depends on the sig, I used mordex downsig to grab people from the wall so it really isn’t all that punishable as they have to choose to either get out of the way allowing a recovery which if missed will put me back on stage to do it all over again or edge guard. I see what you mean thou, typically there are better options but I think the sentiment that you shouldn’t use it is kinda silly.

True lol Though just because something lands in a certain situation doesn't necessarily mean it was the best option for that given situation. Also if this is something that people actually struggle with and want to do, I might make a short tutorial on it?

@@Stephanafro For some reason I never bothered looking for it, I always tried to do it but I always ended up with a ssig instead, so after your comment I thought I should look it up. Even though I'm diamond, I just learned that if you hold aim up while doing an attack it'll do neutral LOL I always thought neutral was about not aiming at all, I didn't know aiming up overrides aiming sideways. I don't know if it's a common misconception, maybe it's not for blasters users cause apparently that's how they pivot nair, but I think a short telling people about aim up isn't a bad idea at all.
