Excellent, I do the same. However I utilize the defrosted ice to capture the light VOC’s. I use in a medical modality.

I believe it took about 1 to 1.5 days to freeze dry, is it still commercially makes sense to preserve it that way, I mean this is the best way both aromaticly and shelflife-wise but does it still worth the investment and operation costs?

I want to freeze dry lots of varieties. Our local health food store carries a wide variety of mushrooms. I'd powder them and want to mix them together and put in capsules. What do you think?
