Respect, I think you're making the right decision. Skipping/dropping out of college to go all-in on your passion/dream is a overhyped idea. Even when the success comes at you super fast you still have to keep planning far ahead so you can move into a direction that's suitable for you. Wf you just see wherever it takes you, the destination might not suit you anymore later on. Honestly I was brainwashed by the internet into thinking that college would be a waste of time if I wanted to pursue my actual dreams, I didn't understand back then that even though it can take a lot of time, it would've probably helped me stay on track by gettting through education and surrounding yourself with more serious people. Also you probably want to make some normal friends while you're young, not just music industry people. Dope that you're sharing this.

Let's go Mabu, time to officially expand your way into academia and still staying within the music industry. It will certainly help you out a lot going through college, though many people will argue that there isn't a point to college. There are claims for and against it. Just know that being here and doing it for yourself, your family is a mental reward. There will be hard nights of work studying and prepping for exams but know that your high school education has trained you for it at a high level. Don't worry what the other's on the sidelines are saying to you, giving their own opinion's of what and not to do. Keep pushing your education, learn as much as you can and your career as a top grade music artist will reward you immensely more than you can imagine. Especially doing the business degree, pay particular attention to contract law and entertainment, it will surely help you reading terms on your own when you eventually do form your own label or sign to one. I 100% respect that Mabu. Do what feels best in your heart. I just turned 35, and I never had a “traditional” college experience. I dropped out of high school senior year due to truancy, I didn’t get to walk across that stage with everyone I grew up with. I did get my GED and went to a local/community college and got two associate degrees in my early/mid 20s. Never went on to a bachelors because I never knew what I wanted to study and didn’t want to “waste” a degree. But part of me always wishes I went to a “real” college and had that “true” college experience. I was a super smart kid growing up and if I had focused I could have probably easily went to a great school. But I got caught up with the wrong people and just kind of let that go. I had many school friends go away to “real” college and become very successful. And that’s a part of my life I’ll never get back. So you’re absolutely right, do you brother. Have those experiences. The music will always be there. Much love from Orlando, FL, I support you all the way no matter what. You got a good head on your shoulders at such a young age.
