Mad respect for being public about what has made you choose to leave the company and how it's more about that than the people. Also love seeing you truly put it out there that the layoffs and mismanagement are driving factors leading you to make this decision and explain it publically. I am like you in the sense I love payday, I always will, I want payday 3 to work I want it all to work out for the people making it, just sucks to see it all in this sad state. I really dont know why they dont the sell their IPs at this point. They are clearly understaffed, have genuinely no idea how to design these titles and are so painfully incompetent at every level. And its so much worse for all the devs on the team who have been working so hard and actually care, the animation team, the community team, the vast majority of the devs, they all deserve a better employer

It's not that Starbreeze is understaffed, it's that the Payday team is because the suits are too busy jerking off to Pubg and making a Baldur's Gate clone nobody asked for. They know that Payday is their most famous franchise that brings them a lot of moolah, but they at the same time paradoxically don't understand that they need to maintain it so they can rake in money. It's like someone shooting themselves in the foot and keep wondering why they're hurting. It's idiotic, anti-consumerism and anti-developer even.

Problem is that the workers at the lower floors are talented, the animations, scripting, level building etc are made really well. Its the upper floors that struggle to properly manage anything that would favour the fanbase and not the investors

@@RedArcherLive of course, me as well, it’s just very disheartening to be stuck in the loop of occasional good news and seemingly endless bad news. For me, I was ready to ride this out until the game was in a state comparable to payday 2, but it feels like Starbreeze has started taking steps to hinder that process and that’s what really hampers my optimism. That’s probably a big reason I appreciate your positivity as it does give me some hope for the future of the franchise I’ve put thousands of hours in (I’ve even 100%ed payday 2 lol). The idea of it dying now, slowly, with a whimper, can be really demoralizing for me. Whelp, here’s hoping that armour 2.0 and the skill rework will fix everything!

I think the fact that they just continue to disrespect the intelligence of the people concerned about the lifespan of PD3 such as yourself really speaks volumes. I respect your decision, as a fan of payday it is horrible to be partnered with a company that treats their main IP as the middle child. This and the lack of consideration for the hard working staff who are now without employment shows the compay's lack of consideration with their actions. This is a good decision to make and one can hope that starbreeze will open their eyes and improve their decisions in the near future before they go under.

This game is really becoming one of those games you’ll look back and go “How did they fumble it so bad?” All the content was there everything was there. How did they do it how did they mess it up so badly? Genuinely it’s astonishing. It’s too me equal how DICE fumbled the battlefront series. All the content is there all you had to do was not mess it up yet they managed to do it. If I wasn’t so attached to the series I’d be genuinely amazed. Let me tell you what happens with Baxter. They reveal the trailer and it could look good but then Starbreeze logo is going pop up and everyone going go “oh hey these are the guys behind payday 3 lmao fuck this.” And never touch the game look at any of Ubisoft games how many people see a trailer and then they see Ubisoft logo pop up and just like that all hype dies off. Same will happen with Baxter and payday fans will be spiteful and make sure everyone knows they’re the ones behind the failure of payday 3

I feel like until they announce that the next update will contain the offline mode, it wont be *fully* dead.
