I watched your videos for learning English. I struggled with expressing things in a vivid way, and your videos just satisfy my need. I got to know how to describe places, foods, and other things clearly. It's easy to describe things in Chinese but difficult to do that in English. Always want to visit Jiufen again; hopefully can stay at a nice B&B with view.... been there in May 1995 on a weekday with my father with nice memory (also have a picture of its ocean view on my computer screen). However, like many mentioned, I won't be able to stand the rain and humidity esp. in winter, although it's great to visit sometimes.

Wes, there’s a place in 金瓜石 just minutes from 九份 you may want to visit next time you are in that area. This is a memorial park for British/ Canadian POW camp. During the WWII, Japanese operated a very brutal POW cap where pows worked as miners on that site. Only a small fraction of over 1,000 pows survived the camp... It’s part of a sad war memory and known by only few westerners but I guarantee you it’ll worth your time.

@Kan seymour 😎誰說不適合居住？🍀我就是從台北買基隆房子搬來住的…😀🧡 基隆市區道路單行道比較多，但生機無限…每天有很多觀光客來遊玩… 房價便宜，交通方便，可去的其他地區四通八達... 吃的多，物價比北市便宜，又有長庚醫院，醫療方便 ...除了山區外生活機能良好～自從基隆河截彎取直後，雨水很少了，（除了冬季外..）.我去台北一路到汐止就一直下雨，基龍原本的雨水往汐止跑了…這是很多人知道的事，你不知道吧？ 我已經搬來兩年多了，很適應這裡的環境....如果你住高雄哪肯定不習慣這裡，因為一個是高溫空氣差的南高雄，跟南部比...比較雨水多又空氣好的基隆，有人不習慣當然嘍... 所以沒有“絕對”一定適合或不適合居住，對吧？🤔

基隆有雨都之稱，因為它常下雨，但隨著地球氣候的改變，下雨的機率不再像以前那麼多。但因為靠海的關係，環境比較潮濕。

基隆可是被稱為雨都的地方.據說因為一年有2/3都在下雨.映像中主要是廟與漁港.而我之前待的新竹縣因為地形容易受東北季風影響所以叫風城.這兩個地方的特質.還有在颱風時.好在台灣有個很大的中央山脈.西部受颱風引響通常小很多.威力減半或少好幾成. 至於九份山頭有些老墳.第一次去時有些傻眼.

有一首台語歌叫做「港都夜雨」，算是基隆的代表曲，作曲者楊三郞就是住在基隆的時候寫的，我小時候一直以為是講高雄，因為港都兩個字，長大之後才知道是指另一個港都，而且是「雨都」
