I suspect I might have some ND but after decades of living, being medically retired. I ferl too sick and exhausted to pursue any kind of diagnosis. I'm not entirely convinced a diagnosis or labelling how ND people think and operate is entirely of benefit to ND people. Ironically, it's the NT people who make and need labels for behaviour they find odd or unpredictable because they have to make sense of it in an NT biased world. I bet if we were a giant pack of dogs we'd just accept we're all different and get on with it.

From a 38 year old that grew up in the punk rock/hardcore scene - I have to say that your music is some of the most creative, fun and innovative music I have seen come out of that genre in years. I was thoroughly impressed when I first heard Underachievers, and you just continually hit them out of the park. I would stick with your music career and put your energy there. I don't use KZbin shorts to be honest. I still consistently use KZbin to watch the deeper long form videos of creators I have been subscribed to (some for many years). I am over Tiktok (deleted it) and I am not happy with how Instagram (which I loved as a photography site) has pushed everyone towards scrolling and reels. Don't ever compromise your values or sense of inner peace for chasing algorithms. The internet has changed, like you said, and sometimes we need to step away when things don't feel congruent anymore. I don't post photos on Instagram anymore, as I no longer enjoy it for similar reasons you mentioned. You have a great personality, I enjoy your reels on instagram and more of your authentic youtube videos. Yet if social media doesn't feel "good", if something feels uneasy or off, that is a sign you should listen to. The body doesn't lie. And I wouldn't worry about ANYONES expectations. And your right, you can't manufacture authenticity! Stay true and do you! Much love Noah!

This is insane. When you said that you were turning 25, I just had this sudden epiphany that I have been following you since the summer going into 6th grade and I'm a high schooler. With regards to tiktok influencing, it also feeds off of capitalism's desire for infinite growth. The current avenue for supposed growth nowadays is the internet because we are running out of space to grow. So people will think they can become the next big influencer from a viral video but we are beginning to saturate the market and it is also not the easiest way for the platforms to make money.

Yes I feel the same way. Even as a viewer I feel so upset about how KZbin has changed. The fact that so many content creators that I enjoyed changed to making videos on paywall and selling products and especially when the content creators I enjoyed only answer people on livestream that pay them money. It’s very disappointing and sad. It’s definitely meaningless and soulless. I have completely stopped watching people as well who also use clickbait in a way that makes people look bad or stupid. I am, sad to admit, old enough to remember the transition of KZbin from a platform with no ads to a platform with a few ads to a platform bulking with ads. The same goes for the many changes in social media. I remember when we first got ads on Instagram and I was not a fan, still am not a fan. I started following you fairly early on in your start on social media and even KZbin. Hell, I remember that one time your account got closed for some reason, 'sugardaddydonald' and you had to create an entirely new account. You always had such a passion for the people you made the videos for and even though I could never attend one of the meet-ups Hyde Park we could, and in many ways still can, feel the genuine care shine through. You are absolutely not the first youtuber to have this realisation. Back in High School, I remember Pewdiepie admitting on a video he had no fun making videos anymore and having an honest conversation about what he wanted from his channel. I have not been following him actively for ages anymore but it was also a realisation that once you start a channel and it accidentally becomes a career over the years you set an unofficial standard for yourself to which you feel you need to keep for your fans. That is not necessarily healthy. You should really find that enjoyment again and not feel obliged to make a video. If it doesn't fit in your current schedule maybe don't set too high standards for yourself. People who care about your content will understand that you cannot do all these things at the same time. It costs time and energy. I know all the support shown by the others in the comments and what I am writing now do not help with the nagging voice saying you should do this otherwise, you may disappoint us. Because I know that is not how overthinking works but yeah it is still nice to say it. Find something that works for you Noah, not something that is the best commercially, for views, or to reach the highest subscriber count. Hope it helps and most of all hope you find some peace in your own mind and schedule so you can also rest a bit in between all the busy stuff.

thank you for talking abt this, it feels like after covid a huge surge of new influencers came online, flooding what felt once like the cozy little space that we had, all to ourselves. now it’s all flooded with ai, copy and pastes of the same bland KZbinr all talking about the same thing, and people addicted to short form. All i want is our cozy little internet space back, the space where everyone had a favorite KZbinr and would wait for their weekly uploads with so much excitement, now it just feels empty and soulless, like our little ecochamber has been destroyed. tldr, great video. ugh i totally get you with the stuff about shorst and tiktok, never been a fan of those things. as a cosplayer, i did grow up with musically and the early tiktok stage, but the content there just isnt for me. i grew up watching youtube, simply for the personaliyt of the people behind the channels, thats what got me into all of my favorite videogames and helped me discover lots and lots of cool stuff i grew to like. same with your content, i guess i first found your channel through a yungblud cover? but then i tuned in to one of your Q&As and stuck around for the personality and humour. its so sad to hear about how everything has changed and so many people and just in the game for money and clickbait, when youtube was created for creators aka people who wanna share their loev for stuff they enjoy. it srsly all used to be better in the good old days. wishing you the best bro 🙏💙 also very excited for the new song you teased on instagram!!

everything said in this video is so valid and heartbreaking. i don’t think anyone in the community would want you to manufacture a video if it’s negatively affecting you. personally, the community of this channel is more important to me than any manufactured or fake video. you could post whatever, and it would still brighten my day, make me feel less alone, and honestly, seeing you happy makes me feel like i could be too. but, please don’t exchange your happiness for ours. if you do want to keep making content, but stuff that you actually enjoy- you mentioned more vlogs, and i mean even just the snippets from some of your music videos/music making are really enjoyable. you could do music journey vlogs, or something that could combine your passions and maybe would require less scheduled filming time. thank you for sharing, and please take care of yourself :)

as a teenager right now, oh my GOD its refreshing to hear somebody say this. I have always preferred long form content for the exact reason you say. there's more connection but more and more people I used to watch are quitting and I feel like im left with the quick constant stimulation from short form content. I used to want to be a KZbinr for the same reasons you did, but now the idea feels too tiring because I feel like I can't find that community without selling my soul to the social media gods while Im still trying to make it through high school. anyway what im trying to say is that Is hey man I get you. I found you a few years back when I was a loser closeted autistic middle schooler. this community really helped me and im sure many others, so I think wherever you take this channel we will be there. so take your time! figure stuff out, and at the very least ill keep watching.

Sadly all these "shorts" are in a form that is compatible to a phone and scrolling. I am old so I'll never be scrolling on my phone. I don't even pay for data. My phone is for talk and text. My camera is for taking pics. My laptop is for browsing the internet. This means I prefer long form videos in the shape of a TV screen. Unfortunately, a 53 year old gay man is not your demographic, but you are my trans teacher. I am not a gay man whose identity is encapsulated in all things gay. I don't go to gay bars or take part in pride events. I just live as my authentic self and if people get to know me enough, they might discover I am gay.....so I don't have trans friends because I don't really socialize. You are the closest. You alone have taught me about the trans community and you are a great teacher. Thank you for that. It didn't hurt that I am also an old punk so appreciate your music as well. If you come to Halifax, NS Canada on tour I will attempt to get a VIP ticket to thank you in person. Well done Noah, regardless what the future holds in relation to your internet journey. The real truth and hard fact is that you have accomplished what you set out to do and you have done it well. Congrats on that.

Hi Noah, I’ve never commented on one of your videos before, but I’ve been watching you for a few years now. I have so much stuff in my head that I wish I could express, but that’s pretty long… Anyway, I just want to let you know that as you showed yourself growing up on the internet, there were people on the other side of the screen you were helping grow up too. You helped me make sense of myself through posting your trans content, helping me realize I was non-binary. Now I’ve just recently gotten top surgery! Now I’ve also gotten diagnosed with ADHD (and strongly suspect autism lol), and your videos and songs are now helping me through that too. Every time I comment on something I feel scared, thinking “what if hirers look through my social media and see this?” etc. So I can’t even imagine how much more difficult it would be to post yourself making videos. The internet has been getting worse lately for sure. Everything is designed to get a rise out of you. To make you feel, sad, angry, hopeless, scared. Just watching the horrors of what’s happening globally and how much hate there is out there is scary and sooo draining. I wish I could go back to a younger self that was unaware of all of that. Anyway, tangent aside, I hope you’re able to find your love for KZbin again. I might not be a consistent watcher (ADHD 💀), but I look forward to whichever way you take your channel going forward. There will always be people like me genuinely interested in what you have to say and will learn about themselves through your experience. I started KZbin a year ago. Feeling exactly the same. The internet, in all honesty, has ruined me in a lot of aspects, but also benefited me in others. I feel no enjoyment I'm creating and posting videos, knowing damn well the stupid thing called an algorithm will push my videos back and never show them to anyone.
