Wow! This is the prettiness Picotin 18 combo I have seen - love it even I am not a pink person. I really love the epsom leather as it is giving the bag a bit more structure. Personally, I would keep the pink picotin as it is one of kind in a combination that is hard to come by. I can also see your issues about an open bag isn’t a friendly option in NYC. Hi Renee! I have been following your videos and think you really have great taste. I wonder if you would recommend Etoupe or Gold as first Hermes bag? Both would be buying from reseller (because boutique does not offer me). GHW are more expensive for both colors but they would retain value better right? I would like to buy and use for a couple of years, and may sell if I have Hermes quota bag in the future... thank you for your advice on color and hardware!

Hi Momo, thank you for watching! I would recommend Etoupe because it goes well with more colors imo. Gold matches black, white, camel, brown, navy and it it more of a fall/winter color. Etoupe matches more colors and you will use it all year around.

I got super lucky and ordered this from Hermes website recently. But I think Picotin is much cuter in clement so sadly I have to let it go too. The epsom leather isn't as stiff on the Picotin than it is on the Kelly though, but also not squishy enough for me to keep it 🥲 I'll try my luck again from the website, or wait for the good news from the SA, whichever happen first.

Hi Renee, I agree with you of letting the pink picotin go. You don’t need two in your collection. Putting the money into a Kelly is a wuss decision. However, this pink picotin is a really cute bag.

The pink one is my favorite! The pink is beautiful. It definitely caught my attention when I first saw your pink bag. I would not sell the pink. Your pink bag is the prettiest Picotin. Plus you said it will keep its shape. Of course it has to be up to you. Of course I like certain bags to be more slouchy. But on this bag I r we oils want it stiffer. So I would keep the pink one.

It won't be tight. You still have plenty of space after you put a 500ml water bottle in the bag. 18 should be enough for daily use :)

Your pink Picotin is such a unique and beautiful bag! I hope you don't sell it. Maybe you just need a little bit more time to find some occasions to wear it. I have a Clemence leather Picotin, but would prefer an Epsom version just so I don't have to worry about it getting too slouchy. Of course the Picotin is meant to be slouchy, but I don't think I would like it if it can no longer stand up on its own. I am slightly leaning towards selling mine because I noticed over time from use that the interior unlined raw suede-like leather is starting to shed and stick onto some of my items inside. Does yours do that too? Sometimes I find it cumbersome to get into my bag when I have to use one hand to pull back the strap and hold it wide open in order to reach in for my things. The weight of the lock keeps closing up the opening when I'm in a hurry to get things out.

Also, having the gold is already the best of the best in terms of color so I guess I would support you in getting rid of the pink one. Of course this is just my opinion.
