This is true... I have copd and it is extremely hard for me to wear one I feel like I’m drowning I can’t breathe at all... and I try my best to keep mine on when I’m out but if I get into any kind of argument I struggle pretty bad with my breathing I can’t even really make it to yelling I mean sometimes but it ends very fast because I’ll be gasping for air so it’s iffy depends I guess how bad of a breathing issue it is.

Sophie Richardson Welll, they aren’t as effective at ensuring you don’t catch it as reducing the spread, but it’s not like they “won’t.” Maybe for normal people it’s not worth it, especially if you’re talking N95s that are still difficult to get. My Mom has cancer and I’m immunocompromized and would die if I got this (and my illness targets certain organs like my lungs anyway), and my Dad (a doctor) and our specialists continually stress the necessity of us wearing masks when we go out, which has only been for necessary in person appointments (they can’t continue to write scripts without seeing you, at various intervals depending on if the drug is scheduled or not), particularly wearing N95 masks. They admit anything less is more risky. So while saying masks will generally prevent you from getting sick isn’t accurate, saying they won’t stop it also isn’t quite accurate. I’m not trying to pick a fight or be rude, but... with things like that it’s really important to not inadvertently add to the chaos and confusion about this situation. Especially as cases continue to pile up in the US right now. I hope you and yours are able to be safe through this.

Actually before they opened some places in California and befor the protest the numbers were going down not much but they were.Then everything else happened and were stuck with this virus again and don't think it's going away this year, I've been in quarantine since March only go out if need to, I hope they soon find some cure for this.
