For the last few years their business model has moved away from amateur content creators and have been pushing it as another platform for large media outlets to post their content. For late night shows who have new content 5 days a week this is the only place that makes sense. KZbin likes this because it draws traffic and is advertiser friendly. Ads make money, KZbin wants to monetize. Doesn't matter how many subscribers someone has or how good their content is; if you don't bring in ad revenue for KZbin, you are worthless to them.

After seeing that rewind segment, I have to say that KZbin is breeding ground for a uploders that openly exploit themselves in a way that represents a really big peepshow. Most of the popular ones I think are attention seeking nonsense uploaders. It is the real and honest uploaders of original worthwhile content that deserve recognition. The powers that be at KZbin only praise views and not content quality. As long as KZbinr's are turning tricks for viewers and views they are happy, just like a pimp views a prostitute. When they said "give the people what they want" says it all. This channel is one of the better ones.
