I'm a lab technologist, and your story reminds me so much of this one case that i still cant forget in over 3 years. A 27 year old came in through the ED unresponsive around 2-3pm, the medical staff did everything they could to figure out what was wrong. She passed away that same night around 10pm. Turned out she had a UTI/kidney infection and went into septic shock. She had her symptoms the day before which was her birthday, sadly, she wasn't feeling well that night, she went to bed and stayed in bed the next day. Her boyfriend checks up on her the next morning, they thought everything was fine that it was just normal virus. he comes home after work and finds her unresponsive. Your story is very serious and im glad you're okay. People need to be aware that even if its just a simple UTI or sore throat it HAS to get treated. untreated Strep can cause long term heart problems and know one knows this stuff.

After I overdosed on Tylenol I really messed up my liver, and it was when I found out I had borderline myxedema, so basically if I had gone on any longer I would have fully developed the disease and it's definitely,, Eye opening? Eventually I'll have to have my thyroid removed because of cysts and potentially have a liver transplant. I've been told I won't have a lifespan as long as average and especially for someone like me struggling with suicidal ideation it's kind of like a kick in the stomach because suddenly everything becomes real. So maybe not in the same sense I still understand being in a life-threatening situations, I really hope and pray that you fully recover from this. I know how scary it is, please stay safe.

I know how you feel I was diagnosed with a kidney disease two years ago and they told me that there’s nothing they can do they don’t have A cure for it yet and the only medicine they have for it is no longer a thing so basically I’m screwed . I pass kidney stones all they time and let me tell you they hurt. They told me that this can and will kill me . But little do they know I’m stronger then this disease. My mom has the same thing as me and she wasn’t supposed to have kids, and if she did she wouldn’t live to see them grow up. But my mom has two kids and her oldest is 19 and her youngest (me) is turning 18 next Saturday. I’m here for you and I believe you are a strong soul . and if you can get through this , you can get through anything! Much love ❤️❤️

It was definitely the strep infection. Never ignore symptoms! Strep could be very dangerous even fatal. I’ve had strep twice, the first time I had no idea I thought it was just a regular cold with a headache but after a day I got a really bad fever. The second time the first symptom I felt which was a headache i immediately went to see a doctor. I got both strep I think in the span of maybe 3 months? Ever since then I get very nervous whenever I get headaches. I’m also the type of person that wants to avoid hospitals as much as possible because I have no healthcare but your health is very important never neglect your body when it’s asking for help. That is seriously so crazy. My older sister has a kidney desease. It's called something like Hennos sherlails purple or something, it's in her both kidneys and she had symptoms just like you had like the cold shivers and her feaver was like 40.2°C or something and she literally fainted and fell in the shower and stuff. She still gets these pain attacs from the desease and she has like really strong medications to it. Your so freaking strong for making trough that when you didn't have your family there and the language wasn't fluent for you. I really hope that you feel better and everything💜 i purple you💜💜

Last year I was hospitalized for a week due to septic shock. I spent 3 days before that at home spasming, passing out and vomiting to the point I couldn't breathe so I went to an emergency room. When I got there they were saying I was over exaggerating & then they did a ton of tests & sent me to the hospital. They never found out what caused my shock so that what still scares me that it could happen again to me. I kinda get what you're going through. When I was a junior in high school I caught pneumonia. I was severely sick for two weeks. I had a high fever, and I was shaking, and I could only take shallow breaths. I honestly wrote it off as the flu, until my mom made me go to the hospital. They did an x-ray to confirm that it was pneumonia. They gave me an IV and an inhaler. I had to take medication for a week after that. That was the scariest experience I've ever had. I hope everyone here watching Sumi's video can realise how dangerous self-medication can be, I'm very surprised to hear that Sumi took antibiotics without a prescription because in my country (an underdeveloped country btw) you can't even buy antibiotics without a prescription and your prescription is only valid for a week, the drugstore will keep it so you can't use it again, it's almost impossible to self medicate with an antibiotic here. And although it might be inconvenient, it is the right thing to do so people have to go see a doctor no matter what if they have an infection, so it prevents cases like this. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE never take antibiotics on you own, please go see a doctor if you think you have an infection.

oh my gosh thats scary!! i had this same thing in i think 2012-2013 ish? i was sick for about a month i was constantly sleeping,super high fever that was at one point at 105,shaking a ton,being cold,verybad headaches from the fevers, really fast heartbeats,low bp etc. i was hospitalized for a week or two with another like month of at home antibiotics. im glad youre okay now. ill be praying for you i hope you feel better soon!!

This video really put me in my place. I currently have (oral) thrush which isn't really a big deal. It's an infection that makes eating quite hard or whatever, but if left untreated it can spread and cause serious infections in the body. I've put off going to the doctors for far too long and I really should make that appointment. I hope you get better Sumi, stay healthy xx

Hope it all goes away, I went through something very similar, I had a severe infection that was basically poisoning my body, got spasms and the shakes from it, but at the same time if I didn’t have that infection I wouldn’t have known that I had a twisted gut, all thanks to my doctor who pushed me to have an ultrasound cause they were suspicious with my symptoms. OMG I had pretty much the same thing happen a few years ago. It was a UTI that I thought would go away on it's own like they always have. Nope, lasted 3 weeks and, like you, I just kept thinking how expensive seeing a doctor would be. Got the exact same chills, went to an urgent care clinic and was referred to a hospital because they thought pill antibiotics wouldn't be fast enough. If anyone ever starts getting chills/shivers and you don't have any other flu-like symptoms (coughing, sneezing, runny nose etc.) PLEASE go see a doctor immediately. This kind of thing is no joke.
