I love your attitude! It's so refreshing, especially compared to those disgustingly excessive KZbin haul videos. I'm minimalist when it comes to buying new clothing- I don't care much about price (as long as it's within my affordability) but I make sure I check for quality over quantity. I favour simple, timeless designs over trend-led shapes and prints. I buy second-hand from thrift stores a lot too. And I love re-wearing my favourite clothes over and over again! Some tops I've had for over 5 years now! (It's all about garment maintenance)

I wore only black and white for about 15 years (before "uniforming" was widely-known), and I didn't know anyone else did this until after I had stopped (corporate job, then teaching job wouldn't allow me the freedom, unfortunately). Like you said, Lefie, it saves so much time. I could always match a top with a bottom within 10 seconds. But, some people gave me a hard time and tried to get me to wear color and would give me gifts in bright colors. I felt really bad when I couldn't bring myself to wear them, especially since most of these items weren't my style, anyways. So, all the power to you, Lefie, and everyone else who recognizes the bonuses of wearing a uniform.

I’m mostly the same but I have 200 (yup 200) rock shirts. I wear a rock shirt, jeans and Converse every single day (a hoodie gets in there on chilly days). So I have a uniform that expresses my absolute love of music!

I wear basically the same thing every day. I own about 20 different solid colored Hanes T-shirts that each cost about $6. A solid half of them are either white, black, or grey. The rest or various colors that I mostly just wear to work.

I own a single funeral outfit that is only for a funeral. That's the only time I wear black lol. However I have very tiny wardrobe. 3 cargo pants that I wear 2 or 3 times before washing, 6 tshirts, 3 long shirts, 3 tank tops, 1 sweater, 1 winter coat. I love it all. Don't think twice about outfit for today. I can just close my eyes, reach in my drawer, and always be happy.

I knew a woman in college who had the uniform and simple life down, as well as the pure and honest personality. She also had a sense of humor to match yours, Lefie, and she got kick out of questioning societal standards. That was one year sort of FIVE decades ago. Your mother? Grandmother? Aunt?

For my job, I wear scrubs so the bulk of my laundry is for work and that is fantastic!!! When not at work, I have some comfy around the house clothes or if I go somewhere a couple pairs of jeans, handful of tees or sweaters, couple jackets, one peacoat, and one super puffy warm winter coat and that is all I need. For about 4 years I only wore jeans and a black tshirt and it worked amazingly for me at that time but my needs or wants have changed a little but still quite reduced and simple and wow it really frees up time, mental and physical energy, and also makes traveling a breeze

I recognize this so much! I almost always wear the same type and color pants and black t-shirt or longsleeve. Sometimes I think I need to add more diversity to my closet, but I always return to these clothes that just are very easy to grab and comfortable and make me feel good in my skin.

I don’t wear all black but, I have a theme in my wardrobe as well. My shirts are blue, grey or black (mostly collard shirts) & jean pants/shorts, khakis or “sport” gear. I don’t wear bags or backpacks because I don’t want to carry around extra baggage unless I have to. My sister tells me I need to be more creative. Imo it’s time consuming and almost like I’m competing with other women. I really don’t care what trend is in style, tbh. I agree, quality over quantity!
