I love your most recent little locks. I’m honestly a white girl that cut my really long hair off and the process of growing it back out has been fun and a learning experience but I’ve become obsessed with watching other women with all different hair types document their hair journeys. God bless you Sister! 💗

Thank you for sharing. I’m a little into 1 year with my traditional locs and I can never go back to loose natural hair. Around my one year mark I did feel the itch about getting microlocs but I wouldn’t want my hair to be that thin and the thought of spending 8+ hours on a retie is like torture to me lol. I also really value doing my hair on my own and if I had microlocs I’d have to sit in someone else’s chair to get it done. Both sizes look super flattering on you though! Best of luck on your new journey!

Thank you for sharing! I absolutely LOVEDDDDDSSD MY TRADITIONAL LOCS & MISSED THEM WHEN THEY WERE GONE. I have been lucky that my loc lady only takes 3 hours on a retie but i do eventually want to learn to self maintain. Best wishes on your journey. You can never go wrong with any set of locks 😀

I'm on a similar journey. I had tradition locs, very thick and heavy for 8 years...I was missing styling options. My locs were also interlocked, so had a hard time combing them out...as a result I did a big chop...I decided that I'm going to loc again, do a smaller set so that I can still do crochet styles & etc. when I get a feeling to switch up...I did my research and decided to do micro braid locs, which fits my lifestyle...good luck on your journey. Peace and blessings to you always. ❤

I love this! Thank you for sharing your journey! All Locs are beautiful but as we go on our journey we know what works best for us in the long run. May God bless you abundantly as well!

My hair is fine. I had smaller traditional locs for 5 years and just combed them out. I have microlocs now and I’m happy but I miss my length. Can’t wait for these babies to flourish!

I’m right there with you! Starting over at a much shorter length is an adjustment! Good luck on your new journey

So glad your video landed on my page. I'm sooooo thinking about going from traditional locs to micro/sister locs. I believe I mistakenly installed mostly micro locs on myself and gradually combined them over the years. Your hair is so much thicker than mine but I can't wait to follow your jouney.

Thank you for subscribing! I am Absolutely loving these sisterlocks! I would encourage you to go for it if you really want sisterlocks instead of traditional.

You and your hair are simply beautiful, and I agree with you 100% as I think all locs have a certain beauty to them as for me I love the Sisterlocs the most, I too have tried many different styles and methods for my hair this is actually my 2nd journey with Sisterlocs, I had to cut them because I wasn't able to keep up the maintenance, I'm thankful that things have since changed for me and I will be able to maintain my hair as needed I'm loving my newly installed Sisterlocs. Also, I started with longer hair the 1st time I began the journey, this time I started with much shorter hair, it's so cute my installation was on April 24, 2024 I'm 68 years young and loving my hair.

Thank you for such kind words & sharing your experience. I’m sure your Locs are lovely!! The maintenance is a lot but I’m hoping to take a class to learn to self maintain just in case my loc lady ever decides she doesn’t want to continue. It’s a challenge finding a good sister locticianz

I had trad locs as well cut them off never thought they looked right on me. Waited a couple of years now I'm going to try micro braid locs I think they will suit me better!

Good luck to you! I’m sure they will. I love that it resembles lose natural without all the work of loose natural

Thanks for sharing this! Your hair looks super cute! just finished my sister loc establishment today and my hair looks to be about your length. I was already wishing to fast forward to a year or two from now where it would be a bit longer but seeing how you cute your style is gave me hope! Thank you ❤

I started my own microlocs 8 months ago, my mom has had traditional locs for 7 years. She wanted microlocs but her loctitian insisted she get a small set of traditional locs. We're going to comb out her locs at the end of the year and give her a set of micros

I’m sure they will be gorgeous & she will start with so much length. That’s what I miss most about my traditional locs (the length)

I'm so glad to have found your channel I currently have my third set of traditional locs and I'm 3 years in. I just did a wash and retwist and i just want to start them over. Sooo game to good ole YT and now I'm probably going to comb them out and get either sisterlocs or microlocs. I think based on your videos I'm leaning toward microlocs due to not wanting to start all over with super short hair. Thank you for sharing your journey. I'll be watching :)

Thank you for sharing your journey! Is so hard going back to traditional hair once you have had locs! I am uploading a video shortly on why not to get sisterlocks. It may give you more to think about. I love my sisterlocks for sure but I have found microlocs are very similar with less hassle! Thanks for commenting!

I cut my nearly 6 year locs after my son I blame my hormones too 😂 wish I never cut them but started again with smaller locs too! ❤

Those hormones during pregnancy will definitely do it! This go around I am sure you too have a new appreciation for your locs 🎀! Welcome back !!

I had locs but cut them off after two years. But during my consultation I asked for sister locs and the loctician said my hair texture (4c) wouldn’t be good for sister locs. She said that the locs would pop. But now I’m seeing on YT ppl say 4c is a great texture to have for sister locs
@rootedfirmly6 ай бұрын
I’m sorry that was your experience! Sad to say it’s common. That’s why I recommend getting more than 1 consultation & doing what you think is best for you! Good luck on your journey & God bless 🌹
@blubet15 ай бұрын
You need to go to someone else because 4c texture is really good for locs. Red flag for that consultant and don’t go back to her
