@@CRHersh23 I think you're view of repentance is not correct. The word literally means to turn from. So there would be two things involved in repentance, the thing you're turning from, and the thing you're turning to, at least in the context of the Gospel. You turn from sin ( Luke 5:31-32, James 4:8, Acts 26:20, Romans 6) to believing in the One whom God sent. I'm not at all preaching a salvation by works gospel. I know that if you and I had to do good deeds in order to be saved then Jesus sacrifice was for nothing. It's only Jesus that does the saving, but what did He save us from? SIN. Our own sin. So therefore we have to repent from our sins and believe in Him for salvation. You are washed, you are sealed, you are sanctified, and you are justified in the name of the only begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ our Lord. The way you get saved, IS NOT by repenting of your sins (following the Law), it's by believing the Gospel; Christ died for your sins, was buried, and on the third day He ressurected from the dead so that whosoever believes on Him should not perish but have everlasting life; is true. That's it. No repenting of sin. No doing good works. No trying really hard in futility to meet an impossible standard of God, which is perfection. No trying to be a "good" person. It's just being persuaded that the Gospel is true. Anyone telling you anything extra is a liar, trying to steal your confidence in Christ, Galatianize you, and put you back under the Law which causes you to fall from grace. It is written; Christ has become on NO effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the Law, ye have fallen from grace.

That man gave no Scripture to try to back up the things he was saying, only spewed hate, perversion, cursing, and blasphemy. Clearly under demonic influence. All Ray does is teach the gospel and evangelize like we should all be doing - nothing he's ever said in doing so has been a "false gospel" - Ray is as legit and genuine as can be. It hurt my heart to hear such hatred for my brother in Christ, Ray Comfort, but the world hated Christ first, so we know to expect such perverseness and persecution.

As usual, it comes down to the definition and interpretation of "repentance" or "turning away from" while "turning to." I have no doubt that only the works of God save me, none of my own, and it is only that work of God on me that I have faith in Him (so my belief too is not my own work) and that I repent and if I ever do anything righteous (yet again that is God's work in me, not my own). The Son lived the perfect life that I could not and held up our end of the covenants with God, and His bodily death on the cross was in my place, etc., and His Holy Spirit that regenerates me to be born again into new life, in glory to the Father. It is all God. I have done nothing of my own.

The gospel without repentance is false and pointless. How can I be saved if I don’t understand what I’m being saved from or how? I believed in Jesus Christ when I was as a Catholic, and I did pray to God often, but I wasn’t saved because I was still sinning without much concern because I thought if I was good enough I’d be ok. Problem is, when asked, very few people really understand what that means to be “good enough”. When I finally understood it thanks to videos like this, that’s when it hit me that I was in trouble and when I finally understood what Jesus’ death on the cross actually did for all of us. The Catholic Churches I attended failed to fully deliver that message. Then, the Pentecostal church I attended, while it was closer to the truth than Catholicism, it still never drove home the need for repentance and what that means. I had to find out from a KZbin video by Ray of interviews like these that I listened to while I was working. That was a little over two years ago now. That changed a lot for me, so I thank you Ray for reaching me by showing how salvation through Jesus actually works and what it means.

Belief is how we attain salvation, but is not the cause of salvation. Salvation is by grace like you said. Repentance is a fruit just like you said. It’s not that you need to repent to be saved from what I understand, but that if you did truly get saved then you will repent. Belief on the other hand is essential to receive the salvation by grace as Eph 2:8-9 says. Does that make sense? That’s how I understand it from everything I’ve read. A true Christian will bare the fruit of spreading the gospel as Ray does. But the spreading of the gospel is not what saves.

I think its easy to see from scripture that the truth of salvation is REPENT first and then TRUST IN JESUS. John the Baptist came before Jesus preaching REPENTANCE as the means to prepare the way for the LAMB OF GOD (Matt. 3:1-3). Then Jesus Himself started His ministry preaching the same message "Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand!" Then the apostles came preaching repentance. James says, "Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls." (James 1:21)

But a child of God a true Christian there shouldn't be no foul language that comes out of her mouth but only to uplift people and to correct people with love and truth if we see a brother or sister in the body of Christ that is teaching false doctrine we should do it with love and kindness but not with foul language. To my brothers and sisters in the body of Christ that has been watching Ray comfort for years or even weeks or months let's pray for this person in this video that is swearing at Red comfort and saying that Ray comfort creatures of false gospel. I'm a big believer in prayer and especially to pray for those that say they are Christians but they're not showing the fruit of it. Prayer is a powerful thing saying that the Lord gives us...✍️✝️🇺🇸❤️
