I know that most people want to fill that tarkov hole, but the developers said while there would be PVP in the game it was never intended to be like Tarkov. There will be no quests to kill other players. Now that's not for everybody and completely understandable if it isn't, but the game is mostly PvE with the constant "worry" of PVP in the back of your mind when out and about.

I get your point here but we should expect a multiplayer game to be fairly optimized on release lmao. They obviously released the game earlier than they should have in order to capitalize on the tarkov hate train which is a good idea but only if the game is fully or at least mostly functioning. I personally wont be buying it because the gameplay and art style doesnt appeal to me as much but I hope they get their shit fixed pretty quickly or else the problems will outweigh peoples dislike of tarkov before too long and it will be cool to see what this game can become in a year or two.

Early access is right before release. Not alpha. Too many people making excuses for the company. They have made over 50 million dollars in the last month of release. -- Just tossing this out there for people who don't know, but you'll miss most of your long headshots even if you are perfectly on target because of "MOA" not hit registration -- 99% of FPS games are hit scan with bloom or recoil / perfectly straight bullet travel with bloom or recoil (sometimes even "gravity"). A game like Gray Zone uses a "MOA" system. What this means is, even if you are accurate, your gun is not -- 1 MOA spreads about 1inch per 100 yards. Meaning at 100 yards you are GOING TO BE off from center by a maximum of 1 inch. This doesn't mean it can't be dead on, it just mean you CAN AND WILL miss the farther you are away even if your aim is perfect. -- This is how guns operate IRL (believe it or not, milspec AR's are acceptable for sale at a MOA of 4 and under). Keep this is mind when taking shots from far away -- They are also trying a unique health system VS. having a maximum health. You have different vitals that can cause instant death, or lose enough blood and you black out. This is more than likely where the real problem lays. Could have something to do with missing vitals, or not doing enough damage to the vital to black it out. -- Could even be like you said and while they react to getting hit, the vitals do not register the damage 😢

i had to many instances where a leg, arm or any other NON lethel hit killed me or comad me with a single hit. The game is realistic in ways it should never be. I got even bone fractures in both my legs with a single hit in my toes...the hit reg is awful.

Hi, what was the MOA on the used weapons? 1MOA means up to 2.9cm of dispersion at 100 metres. So, for example, 3.5MOA means that the bullets can deviate from the centre of the sight by up to 10cm at 100 metres. And then it depends on the correct zero distance setting.

Takes 1-2mins to come in at base camp, takes 5 mins to fly there. then 1-2 mins running. The movement is my single biggest complaint. The server issues, disconnections, hit reg, etc isn't even my biggest issue because i believe those things can be solved. The clunky, stiff, what feels like an almost intentional gameplay/design choice is a huge turnoff. The movement is SLOW. I get it, it is supposed to be 1. A tactical realism simulating shooter and 2. PVE centric and focused. However, if PVP is to be rewarding or at least fluid/natural then movement needs to improve. I played dayZ, Rust, Tarkov, and other shooters in the same day as playing greyzone. The difference was STAGGERING and noticeable to the point where it took the will to play away each time i went to launch the game again. When you think about games that have pvp and GOOD pvp or when certain games were HATED or their communities enjoyed playing it THE LEAST, it usually had to do with movement being slowed down, made clunky, or removing immersive elements from player's movement. COD's most recent comparison would be modern warfare 2. They changed and nerfed movement to the point where many many people hated the experience in general. Tarkov's most hated and unenjoyable times of being played were the addition of movement or stamina affecting changes that led to videos like "Is Tarkov Going In The Wrong Direction?" Etc. Yes the PVE is the main focus but if PVP is at all a factor i feel it should be taken into consideration. If i move forward i am at 5 speed. When i move sideways i am at a 2.5 speed. When i lean i am at 2.5 speed, when i ads and lean i feel like my character is at 1 speed. The movement doesnt have to be where COD or tarkov is because those games are completely in a different lane or focus. Insurgency sandstorm, the game you mentioned, EVEN IT has faster movement speed. For me and the kind of games i enjoy and the gameplay i enjoy, movement and gunplay is everything and the combination of the two just feels horrible in its present state.

I get your concerns however to say that your little bird ride took 13 mins is crazy. To fly from the Mithras base up to Midnight Sapphire (Hotel 1), which is all the way across the map, only takes me just under 4 min. Its possible that they have speed up the flight speed but i dont see them increasing it that much.

There's no face hitbox rn, so the helmet covers everything, including the face. There's no HP, just organ damage and blood count. This game has a different ballistics, so watch the video from a couple months ago they demonstrating it with pen/bullet expansion

it's not hit reg, it's the fact people aren't accounting for dispersion and bullet drop. Yeah, drop exists and that funky dispersion count on ammo types actually matters. Set your range to 200 meters, that will get most headshots landing on point, but also make sure you use ammo with the least dispersion so it doesn't end up shooting wide.

I mean the game does have potential, should’ve had it been released now in this stage, no. But with the tarkov controversy I do understand that they released it. I myself haven’t really had problems on the game with performance or anything and I am enjoying it, my friends do have problems with their performance. I do have problems with mag dumping ai and then still not dying and me getting one tapped in the arm or the very cheap map. But I hope and think they will polish this out in the next coming months but then again maybe a closed beta would’ve done the game more justice. Do I enjoy myself yes I have a few hours in it and keep going back to it. Should they have released it now no. But I’m here for the process and I do hope people will comeback in a few months and change their opinion on this game once things are working better.

As the resident rat, I say the best way to prevent extract camping is to place the high tier AI locally to the 3 home base LZ'z that way they gotta work for it, pack suppressors to take down that AI and bring more water to survive the stakeout. They have to play it like real stealth professionals to succeed if its built like that. Plus its a fuckin hike to get into position 🤣

I think they did a good job allowing the people on board to fire and not take damage until they are off the the bird, it helps them answer the extract campers and makes the campers have to play it more fair. When we “locked down” an LZ they just flew to another and pushed us from the jungle and it was honestly fuckin sick 👀 Sneaking for like an hour through the jungle in proxy chat with randoms, surviving, scavenging for food and ammo, a real unique experience I have never seen done quite this way. Huge potential in my eyes 👀

its not hit reg infact armour is kinda op me and my buds tested it and it seems that every armor has a chance to still block the highest pen ammo combined with it depending on the angle(you legit can angle youself to force to bullet to pass through "more" plates every major organ also has hitboxes so if the bullets you are using don't hit those major organ they pretty much did jackshit ever since I started using the M700 not a single AI survived more then one headshot because it makes such a large cavity

All the clips at the start show the ak running tbe 7.62 and the damage for it is currently bugged and also 7.62 doesnt have any actual armor peircing ammo but the 5.45 ak does have a bp ammo for armor pen i do agreee however there is a hit reg issue even when even using m855

I know that the helicopter times have to be fixed, I hate waiting 10-20 mins to get a helicopter in (lots of solos taking single people out so its hard with only 4 on standby). Quest system needs work, and also the spawn camping aspect....The LZ system sucks, should be able to choose where you want to land exactly outside of the main areas so you don't get spawn camped. Those two reasons make me quit the game within the first hour of playing. Takes way to long to get out just to be spawn camped, then wait 10 or more minutes to call in another chopper just to be spawn camped again... its annoying. Game has huge potential if they figure those two things out fast.

Hit reg needs work. Loot boxes need to say for at least an hour maybe two. They could do zones around the towns where the LZ is random, with a cool down timer on the zone. AI not seeing through bushes. probably double the helicopters per faction. Long story short it is an Alpha with a lot of potential, it will just take time.

im quite surprised so many tarkov players flocked to GZW honestly, its far more arma/squad than tarkov and there are tarkov style games out there that do a great job of capturing tarkovs intensity... like for example marauders. Tarkov's mess was the perfect opportunity to give a game like that a second chance but instead its left forgotten to die off and now tarkov players who tried GZW are starting to slowly trickle their way back to tarkov because there really is not much else like it. Say what we will about BSG pegging us players for everything they have it really does not change the quality of tarkov as a game and what it offers thats unique. GZW's timing really could not have been better, a new game that has elements of tarkov that was primed and ready to clean up BSG's mess but it was obvious the lasting appeal of the game wouldn't last for those that want a more intense gameplay. A good game is a good game though and GZW is obviously a good game with a seemingly amazing future ahead, people just need to be more realistic, they are letting their hate for BSG right now cloud their judgement like its really a game that does it better than tark, i mean come on, it dont even capture what tark does to begin with, its a different flavor entirely. But i wish it luck, so far the GZW devs seem great, lets hope it stays that way after the influx of wealth has happened and will now slow.

Loving this game, so far. It's got a lot of potential to be a REALLY good game. However, my biggest gripe is the connectivity issue--all players in squad having to drop out of the game, then rebooting the game just to get another guy in. Need to get it fixed to where you can invite someone while in-game, or someone can join and jump into your game without having to stop everything, shut down, then reboot the game. -They should also fix the game's logging of a player's straight-quitting the game as opposed to a server/game crash in terms of LOSING ALL YOUR SHIT when you get back into the game. Pretty shitty, especially when you paid for the highest game package. -Server lag is a mixed bag. Playing solo almost no lag at all. Running with squad, sometimes very little lag, while other times rubber banding everywhere or helo slide show. -The evac issue is very frustrating. Either nix the limit on helos or create a queue so you're not constantly fixed with the open map and mad clicking on requesting a transport. -Have to agree with the hit reg, as well. Can't count the number of times I've mag-dumped a bot at 20m in the open, only to have them instantly drop me with 1-3 shots while I'm in cover. The game is in EA, for sure, and I can't wait until they start getting shit dialed in. Like I said, has a lot of potential to be a really good game.

Game was in bad shape the first day. Then they did a patch and it’s so smooth now. I can tell a big difference already, this game is going to be really good. (It’s just the foundation of a game still by the way.)

I agree bro I played for two hours yesterday and I had good fun issues with some lag and some bullet sponge enemies but those are small wrinkles. I did one mission then just kinda fucked around. The devs are way more receptive than tarkov devs they’re already fixing bugs. Everyone these days just wanna be so negative.

I bought it, played it a bit. Kinda felt like I wouldn't like it... and I don't. You're on point. It's ArmA 2 Wasteland, it could be great. Like persistant servers, faction controlled zones, factions slowly building arsenal for a full-on base raid on other factions, world events, kinda like Wasteland really. Still, it doesn't scratch that Tarkov itch and I knew it from the start, since it's PvE focused. Also, the rubberbanding is insane.

Hit reg is 100% an issue and I've had plenty of times I even died simply due to mag dumping an enemy at 5m distance, not missing a shot, multiple headshots & they just didn't die, but also don't forget that there is bullet drop & dispersion. Depending on your attachments and even ammo type, your shots will miss more often as it doesn't always go 100% where u aim, unless your gun & ammo is built for that. (ofc, this is more about longer range). Additionally, zeroing is important as hell. even at 100meters I notice that my gun at 50m zeroing will become super innaccurate. A bit more than it should honestly

Hit registration was definitely a problem to start. Accuracy of the gun plays a large role at longer distances too. I've noticed a huge difference between a gun with 1.5 MOA or 4 MOA. Also, they have done a lot to fix the hit registration issues and I think it has improved already. For me, this will absolutely replace tarkov. I agree though that it may not scratch every Tarkov itch and isn't a direct replacement for all Tarkov players. I'm interested to see where the game is at in a year though (or 8). 😅

so glad i gave it a month before buying this game. i have yet to run into any of these issues, guessing they have fixed them. game is wayyy fun, cant wait until they flesh out everything a bit more. the longest wait i have delt with was 5 minutes, which is 4 times faster then any tarkov lobby haha!

Bad take, to be honest. I understand you being upset, but it's still in alpha/early access. KZbinrs like you are vital to the game's success, and going against it like this is like digging a grave for the developers who are trying their best to meet our expectations. If you don't want to play because it's unfinished or you'd rather play something else, just say that. But don't tear them down just because you're upset that no one is making a perfect game for you to profit from. There needs to be support for games like these not only so they can make the game we want but compete with competitors like Tarkov to be better.

I agree with you. My free time is precious and I’ll be damned if I spend it playing something as buggy as this game. Unfortunately I’ve played it too long for a refund but I am hoping they’ll atleast fix the most obvious bugs very soon. I’m not ever expecting the game to be perfect but make it worth your “free time”. The reason I quit Tarkov is I don’t have enough time to get good at it. I play this because it’s easier to pick up and play but the bugs of this game will kick you right in the balls and make you feel like you wasted the little bit of free time you do have. I should’ve just played Rocket League and called it a night.

My biggest problem with Gray zone is that it seems to miss good loot, there is not a lot of good loot and the weapons and armour and everything looks really ugly in the inventory + there needs to be more PVP. Those are my reasons why i got tired of Gray zone. But i will wait a bit and try the game again in a few months. That is if not Arena breakout has what we all want, the perfect Tarkov killer. I honestly have always been more excited for Arena Breakout it looks much better then Grayzone imo when it comes to gameplay and so on. Also the graphics are great and the beta is IN 4 DAYS!

My only complaint is how hard the AI are. It's not even realistic how hard they are. Multiple times I've just been flicked on and tapped and I die instantly. And then when I try and kill them my bullets do jack shit and headshots don't kill them.

Your talking audio is so much quieter than everything else, and i have to turn up the video, like set my computer speakers to max volume, then a surprise ad comes up and blows out my ears.
