For the sake of everyone concerned there has to be a thorough screening process for immigrants. Those coming in have to know the language of the country they are entering, they have to be shown the customs of the country and be 100% willing to accept them as is, they need to have skills and aptitude for the job market and should not be allowed any social benefits for 5 years. In other words, they need to know the language, fit into the country they are immigrating into, have highly sought after skills and not be on any social programs. If they can do this then fine, if not then don't let them in.

People are very cold and unfriendly especially towards foreigners. Combined with the gloomy cold and wet weather...one must ask oneself why am I here? I also look Turkish and think that's the main reason why I get dirty looks from many. I'm a Native-American also catholic but people don't know that by looking at us. Well, as a South African living there... it was impossible to find a job after I got let go from my job. Finding a fairly paying job at a decent company was just impossible. Seems like job satisfaction there is a big problem. The Germans are lazy, and so if you are ambitious you are a threat to them. Having paid into the system I did get really amazing benefits like social support, but the companies treat foreigners like they are less than the Germans and I was a white man. But so be it. Amazingly, spon returning home I got a promotion and a great salary with great benefits at one of the best companies here in South Africa. The Germans don't like taking risks, taking a chance on someone or believe that they actually do need diversity. It's the one thing that can change a company for the better because if everyone thinks the same, how is this good for growth? Until they learn how to think outside of the box, they will never have the change they desperately need.

The last few points are really nothing new. Germany has always been known for its bureaucracy and it has always been difficult for immigrants especially from Non-EU countries and if they don't know the language much either. And yeah, that the home economy might do better and migrants want to go back has often been the case too, also in other countries. So what's the point really?
