Sarthak Bhai It's not because of our players that we lost, but because of our negligence for other sports. They did their best. These are the 4th place athletes (Lost Bronze) Manu Bhaker - Shooting Arjun Babuta - Shooting Ankita and Dhiraj - Mixed Archery Mirabai Chanu - Weightlifting Lakshya Sen - Badminton Anantjeet and Maheshwari - Mixed Skeet Lakshya and Vinesh played phenomenally. They were among the best. Edit - I was only pointing out the Bronze medal matches. Quarter finals are eliminations which don't guarantee medals if won. But yes, their efforts were equally commendable. Edit 2 - Neeraj Chopra won the silver. Can't say anything else. Arshad Nadeem really deserved after that performance.

Govt has spend 470 CRORES on the training of the athletes going for Olympics, what are the result we get? Also if there athletes are so good, why they can't find money themselves. This is tax payers money which should be spend carefully. 470 CRORE se 3 bronze medals aaye hai. Do you know how much money US govt spend on athletes, ZERO. All of sports infra is run by universities with community and private funding. Tax payers money needs to go for important things than entertainment. All yeh banana mei hamesha se sun raha hu, how come poor countries like Philliphines are above India, surely we spend more than Philliphines in sports. Funding is an excuse getting used by the athletes day and again for their mediocrity. If you can't even do basic things right like keeping your weight in check after having personal coaches and trainers (all on taxpayers expense), then you better say sorry to whole country instead of getting sympathy on it.

We should do something like china Identify talent at early age, open schools only for sports person so that they have no stress of academics and can just focus on playing And also get a rule that after the age of 15 if they wish to continue and genuinely perform in competitions, then fix some govt job for them so that even if they fail later they dont have to worry for academic degree for income

Govt has spend 470 CRORES on the training of the athletes going for Olympics, what are the result we get? Also if these athletes are so good, why they can't find sponsers themselves. This is tax payers money which should be spend carefully. 470 CRORE se 3 bronze medals aaye hai. Do you know how much money US govt spend on athletes, ZERO. All of sports infra is run by universities with community and private funding. Tax payers money needs to go for much important things than entertainment. All yeh banana mei hamesha se sun raha hu, how come poor countries like Philliphines are winning more medals than India, surely we spend more than Philliphines in sports. Funding is an excuse getting used by the athletes day and again for their mediocrity. If you can't even do basic things right like keeping your weight in check after having personal coaches and dieticians (all on taxpayers expense), then you better say sorry to whole country instead of getting sympathy on it.
