Indian woman goes towards western culture. That's why boys can't able to complete their wishes. It's huge pressure. Earlier wife support husband in any situation and today law give them freedom for divorce. So they not support rather they give divorce and demand huge money in return. So I say untimely law will immortal Indian civilization.😢

Looking at this video a week after Atul Subhash's case, I'd pass on marriage too! With laws that will lock up me, my parents, siblings and distant relatives in just a whim of accusations, laws that will force me to pay for kids that aren't mine, laws that will oblige me to pay lifetime of spousal support for a day of marriage I'm FINE LIVING A SINGLE LIFE

Divorces are increasing in Indian society because girls are getting educated and becoming financially free. Plus girl child is getting inheritance from father’s property as well which gives financial security. Society is getting more modern and open these days. In the past getting separated was looked down upon and the financial security of the women were a major factor which forced them in a way to compromise and stay committed in an unhealthy relationship.

No, dear. Marriage has become a pension for women. It is the best start-up business in India. If women are so independent, then they should seek mutual divorce. Marriage needs adjustments and self-sacrifice. Once marital dispute occur then suddenly educated empowered women become kids and helpless.

There is a lack of Resilience & the ability or willingness to compromise is what is putting people off of marriage in India. Alot has to do with the way this generation has been brought up, reason being the parents have made sure that their kids get everything they didn't get even before they ask for it. The lack of struggle in childhood, that's why they are sorts of running away from the Struggle, compromise and responsibilities.

I think you have absolutely nailed the point here. I just can't understand the generation born about 1990. I do not know too many of them in India (north India) but the ones that I do know, I am not impressed at all. I got tired of telling them to grow up. Their parents used to defend them in the beginning but now they also realize that it's time they grow up. That generation is now 30-34 years old, some are married and some are not. They still don't know how to do jack shit around the house, forget about caring for elderly parents or contributing $$ to household income and expenses. I just roll my eyes and stay mum. Maybe I became too independent and responsible at a young age.

Getting married after you're self reliant is a must but picking a life partner is tricky. If it's an arranged marriage then if the girl is happy to be a house wife taking care of home then no issues I guess but if both are working then you've got to chalk out a plan for life after marriage and a prenup is essential in today's scenario.

In Hinduism there is no concept of divorce. It's a divine bond for multiple lifetimes. No wonder divorces were taboo back in the day. And even to this day I don't think most people think getting divorced is good. Although I personally do believe that some divorces are required.
